Maison Du Pré

Location. We arrived early and they kept our bags. Also got our room early.

For a 2* hotel in central Paris, this was an unexpected gem! 24-hour reception (so always someone present to help)/ room cleaned & freshened every day, with fresh towels too/ excellent soundproofing so I was not disturbed by any traffic noise/ (cold) buffet breakfast, not the usual Parisian coffee & croissant! Fantastic location within minutes of Gare du Nord (for trains to the airport), and easy access to metro and bus all over the city - yet on a relatively quiet street.

The shower was smallish, and the shower screen was too small to stop water splashing into the bathroom.

No refrigerator. No teapot.Breakfast is very basic.

It was warm and clean and great location next to station for airport links. Plenty around for eating out and quiet at night.

It is a little tired, but two star so not a big issue.

Price/quality is very good. Very friendly staff

Humidity in bathroom and therefore painting on ceiling could be redone

No smile from the staff except for the ladies at breakfast and poor indication for the parking

The breakfast had a very good variety of foods. The hotel was very close to the Metro and the Train station!

The room and especially the shower were way to small! The shower had No door. There was no place to sit down except our bed.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Plus, excellent location!

Convenient location (a few minutes from Gare du Nord, close to Montmartre, lots of restaurants and markets nearby, open even on Sundays). This is my second stay at the same hotel, and it seems the same room. It was big enough for me, but not so much for two people. It faced the street. The window was very well soundproofed. I had the window open during the night and slept well as the traffic died down. Wifi was good with electrical outlets and light switches next to the bed. Breakfast was buffet style.

The main drawback was the bathroom which was small and the shower without a screen. When you shower, the whole bathroom is wet. A coat hanger outside the wardrobe would also be welcome.

Location to Gare du Nord is about 5 to 10 minute walk, breakfast is simple but all fresh and sets you up for the day.

Quite spacious for our one night stay with good heating. Clean bathroom with toiletries excluding toothpaste/toothbrush.

Can’t tell really, as we checked and left to sight see Paris and only came back to sleep before heading to the airport the next morning

Location location location, like they say. Public transport very close. Walking distance to many sights. Architecture all around you. Cafes restaurants and supermarkets very close to here. And easy to communicate with staff

Considering that this is rated 2 star, we were quite impressed with our room and cleanliness. Once we got our bearings of where we were then we became self sufficient and it didn’t matter that the room didn’t have all the facilities that other places had. Maybe a small bar fridge could be of use

Very clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff, close to Gare du Nord, plenty of bars cafes and restaurants close by. Overall a very pleasant stay and good value.

Lighting a bit low, might be a problem if you suffer with SAD. but this is a relatively trivial criticism.

It is very convenient for those traveling from the Airport by train to Gare du Nord as the hotel is 10 mins walk. Hotel looks worn out, rooms are small, bathroom and toilet tiny, but it is clean. Towels replaced daily, room cleaned, beds made daily. Location wise good as you are within walking distance of all attractions (I walk a lot). Restaurants around, plenty supermarkets very close by. Internet works fine. Not luxurious but good value for money.

It fulfilled my expectations

Great location close to Gare du Nord and within walking distance of Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. Room was compact but had everything I needed for a one-night stay. Staff were polite and helpful. I felt safe as a solo female traveller, and would stay here again
