Hotel Esmeralda

The hotels location is great. Super close to Notre Dame and a wide variety of restaurants! The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly! The hotel is definitely unique and quirky, but clean and we felt safe.

One of a kind hotel in an amazing location next to Shakespeare & Company, with extraordinary views of Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff could not be friendlier, treating guests from every walk of life as if they were the most special people in the world! Also worth noting: the coffee and breakfast is delicious. We hope to come back here again, and again, in the years to come.

Hotel Esmeralda is so charming! We were so pleased to get to stay in such a richly historic establishment! The location is ideal and the staff are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the linens clean, and the bathroom pristine.The view of Notre Dame from our window was amazing! It also overlooked Rene Vivian’s square and Eglise Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre. If you are looking for a typical American-style, huge, no stairs, newly renovated accommodation, this is not for you. But if you want a place that oozes history, charm, true Parisian style, and incredible hospitality, book it today!I didn’t get a photo of the room, but the photos on the website are accurate!

Location is excellent. Staff were very helpful. Hotel is a bit quirky which I liked. We needed somewhere to sleep and shower and as a base for day trips. The Esmerelda met our needs very well indeed.

A little bit tired but that was part of the quirky charm :-)

The staff were super friendly & helpful especially on our arrival. The rooms were super cute & screamed Paris. We were on the 4th floor with an amazing view of the Notre Dame.

The stair well was very narrow! But it was a good workout walking up & down them.

The mattress was very uncomfortable I barely slept and there was this strange smell even tho i left my window for ventilation often. There was no shampoo hair conditioner.

Best location. Charming old place, recently upgraded with modern amenities. We were allowed to keep our luggage there while we spent the day touring.

Give the hot weather, AC would have been nice. Also the rooms are very small. Our particular room had a temporary door.

Fantastic! Close to everything. Staff is amazing! We loved staying there. We loved Esmeralda and her goat dance!

Location was fantastic. Staff was friendly and available. Checkout was easy.

The room was super small. There was no AC and the fan barely worked. Since the windows had to be open it was very noisy. There was no television. Mold in the shower. For the price we felt it would have a bit more than just a historic building.
