    Pros +

    • The location
    • I have stayed here several times mainly because of its location. Close to Montparnasse train station and metrolines. Breakfast very good, I did not try the bar or the restaurant. Room clean and big enough. I think the hotel needs a fresh up. Price to high in relation to standard.
    • The property is good size, bed very comfortable. Breakfast has got variety choices .

    Cons -

    • No, everything was great
    • I would have appreciated a safe deposit box in the room. Many traces of mould i the bathroom.
    • We made our booking through booking.com. Unfortunately it does not say the cost for the parking. We were surprised when we found out it’s €28 per night. We were a bit disappointed.

Good convenient location, easy access to transit and restaurants

The breakfast and restaurant was amazing. The food was really good.

The location was easy to access tourist location like only a few mins from Effiel Tower.

    The staff, the breakfast buffet

The room, the dirty walls, the dirty carpet, the old fashioned furniture, the broken chair

    8ParaleePosted on: 1-19-2026

Bed super comfortable, like a much more expensive Marriott; roomy for the price; not a fabulous view but big windows; great location; tub.

    Pleasant

Breakfast was really bad, there was seemingly good choice of meals but when you looked at it closely, most options were bad. Sausages were almost uneatable, scrambled eggs were barely passable. The only good thing about the breakfast was the bread.

Very strategic location...tats all good about it..

Its a shame to tell its 4 star hotel.i never seen a hotel with 1 chair and 1 high table as a reception!!!only 1 staff was doing the check in and it was so late...moreover there is no room service eg toothbrush, plates, cutlery u have to go and get it yourself from ground floor..what's tge point of 4 star..better degrade to 2 star so tat we won't have expectations..the room floor was leaking, old furnitures, musty smell, and the management dont give a damn about it..

Dirty room, hair in bed, no service. Very bad experience.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The room was very dirty upon arrival, and there was hair in the bed, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene point of view. We informed the reception and requested a change of bed sheets, but no one came to replace them. The level of service and follow-up was extremely poor, and we did not expect this from a Mercure hotel.

    Rooms were ok only.

The pictures shown in booking were so different..No proper reception, just a table. Very old smelly hall and old building with small rooms and no accessories... staff not cooperative... I paid for 2 rooms still didn't cater me with family room . No connected rooms ... really disappointed from booking.com and this hotel..

    Good

The carpets in the common areas were very dirty and smelled bad! There were few and insufficient electrical outlets in the rooms! The parking area was below standard size.

    4NishtaPosted on: 1-4-2026

We chose that hotel because of the proximity to the Montparnasse train station

It’s old, the rooms are super small, badly need to be renovated.

    6SipthorpePosted on: 1-4-2026

    We loved the location.

We personally did not feel as though the room was worth what we paid for it.Another thing was that there was constant noise of furniture being moved (not sure if it was chairs or something else) but it would happen at all hours of the night.Thirdly, the cleaning staff seemed to not take any notice of the sign on the door saying we did not want room service. There were several times where we had to say no as they came in the door even though the sign was on the door. There was also one morning when we woke up and found the sign on the inside of the door when we had left it on the outside, this obviously means someone had come in while we were asleep.

    Reception was nice

Not enough coffee and tea and no china cups only paper cups which was disappointing given the price ! Shower was awful and had to fight with the tap to make the shower head work.

    Staff generally friendly and polite

Hotel is overrated and overpriced for the quality (old, dirty, with appliances falling off…). It should be 2 stars, not 4

    2RimPosted on: 1-2-2026

    Location staff

The price of the hotel is extremely overpriced compared to the very poor condition of the room. I was honestly shocked by how bad it was.

-location was good, close to metro and bus stops, easy to get to Versailles by N train-rooms were spacious and we liked the connecting room-water bottles replaced every day in minifridge-Cleaners did a good job-Baggage storage after check out

-rooms were outdated, especially the bathroom. -Showerhead spread the water everywhere-Heating was working on and off-First 4 nights were quiet but 5th night we couldnt sleep due to noise from room upstairs (maybe 210), people were talking and dropping things until 3am! So inconsiderate! -Breakfast was busy and very few options for gluten free. There were dry little croissants and other plates were empty! They had placed regular toasts next to gluten free and I thought they were gf! Fortunately I only got minor stomach pain from eating them, otherwise our whole trip could have been ruined! The staff didnt seem to understand English when I pointed this out to them. We didnt go back to breakfast after the first morning, chose to have our breakfast elsewhere-Bad cheezy smell in the lobby of the hotel everyday!

    6RitaPosted on: 1-1-2026

Location was ok, close to metro/trains.

Overerall, hotel is very old. You can see that, you can smell that, and feel that everywhere. If the price seems fair - it’s clean and in good location, but if you want something more modern - avoid it.
