Pros +
- Very nice staffs and helpful, also great location
- Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room and reasonable price! We stayed for three nights in the off season (January 2026) and it could not have been more perfect.
- Location was excellent. Room was small for price and breakfast was not included.
Cons -
- The isolation of building is not that much stronger, you can hear a little bit of sounds came from outside the room.
- Larger room w breakfast included.
- The walls are quite thin, you can hear neighbors if they're having a loud conversation or even just coughing. It is an old building which is part of the charm, but yes thin walls is one downside to that. You will definitely hear the cleaning staff from early morning onwards. If you're awake early then this isn't an issue, but if you're someone who sleeps later it is something to be aware of. The hairdryer was an old-fashioned one which while also cool, did partially break and ended up making it difficult for me to turn off - which I had to call reception about. They were able to give me a modern handheld one instead.

The room itself is absolutely gorgeous. The furniture, wallpaper, and bathtub are stunning. The building itself is very cool, the old-school elevator and the carpeted spiral staircase. Location is perfect, I never had to stress about hurrying to get something to eat because there are some great restaurants immediately outside. Not too far from the station as well, so wasn't a long way to get to with a suitcase. Close enough to Notre Dame, Louvre, etc.

location great. comfortable, quiet, decorated in good taste.
The bathtub needed a mat to prevent falling/slipping. Definitely would return.
The location is great and the best thing about this property. The shower had hot water and good pressure.
The front desk staff was not that friendly. The room was very small for 2 people with no place to put luggage or clothing. No dresser just 2 shelves and only space for 4 hanging garments in the closet. No place to hang coats. Breakfast was just ok and the coffee was awful.
Great central location, cozy little hotel, felt safe, great water pressure in the shower, well-decorated cozy rooms with great natural light. Pleasant staff, especially Eric!
Location is perfect, staff are kind. Can’t wait to come back!!
Room is small but its okayy
Great location! Good size room and bathroom. Loved the street it was on. Would definitely go back
Nothing. It was great and super cute during the Christmas season
Location was absolutely perfect to get to most places. there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby and a very festive area
I absolutely love St. Germain des Prés as a location in Paris, and I can't recommend the Grand Hôtel de L'Univers Saint-Germain enough! It's perfectly situated right in the heart of this vibrant neighborhood. I found it to be just a short and pleasant walk away from all the must-see sights in St. Germain. Additionally, there are many charming shops, delightful boulangeries, excellent restaurants, and lively bars nearby. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, making my stay memorable. I can’t wait to go back!
Great location, friendly staff. I would definitely go back. Also important, very good breakfast.
This hotel offers excellent value in one of the best neighborhoods in Paris—walkable to amazing restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and so much more. The staff and hotel manager were truly wonderful, kind, and accommodating throughout our stay. We did experience a few minor housekeeping issues and had to request services we assumed would be standard (such as sheet changes during our five-day stay), but overall the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more than made up for it. We would happily stay here again for the location and value alone.
Housekeeping was inconsistent. We had to speak with the front desk/concierge to request basic services such as fresh sheets and room vacuuming, needed to ask for toilet paper to be restocked, and were unable to receive additional pillows.
A beautiful, quaint Boutique hotel in a perfect location for getting all around Paris. The staff were so kind and helpful to us first timers in Paris. The wonderful breakfast is served in the most beautiful room. The staff there were also wonderful. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel.
Always smokers outside in the street, so we could not have our window open as much as we would have. This is just Paris, a lot of smokers everywhere.
Staff were wonderful, the location is 11 out of 10, perfect arrondissement to be in Paris to feel the best vibe, walking distance to everything, absolutely recommend. 100% clean. Room small but it doesn't detract from this great little hotel. Total value for money.
It hit all the requirements of a comfortable stay in Paris, great value for money
Perfect staff, perfect location. Very good restaurants around and almost all locations to visit at walking distance
Standard rooms are too small to stay for 2.
The location was wonderful; loved the lay out. We had 3 rooms and arrived early; they gave us a room to freshen up and drop off our bags so we could start our adventure.Very accommodating staff!
Location!! Steps from metro, restaurants in front and all around pharmacy, Carrefour, Seine River, Louvre, etc.i Ioved the area.Toiletries, very nice shower, nice temperatures, view to the street, quiet. The wall paper was cool.
I think removing the carpet would facilitate cleaning. The bed can be a little lumpy, but the location override that little thing.
Location is great! Super cozy! Staff is very friendly! Great English.
No free breakfast lol. Extra $12 euros if you’d like.
On site breakfast, a nice quaint setting which was convenient to numerous cafes & restaurants, very cordial staff!
