    Cons -

    • The only drawback to the property was the fact there is no air conditioning. This was not a problem given the time of the year but I could see it being an issue during the summer.
    • The price was pretty steep, though we were staying at a peak time. For a family of four, it was pretty cramped. I wouldn't advise anyone of larger carriage to use the shower. Cleaning does not occur every day unless requested and an additional fee is paid.

They were basically serviced apartments. Reception staff were responsive before and after our stay. Amenities were sufficient. The location is good if a little difficult to access during high-traffic times; it's in an alley with no unloading zone.

Very happy with my stay at the Hotel de l’Horloge, staff was very welcoming, I was able to check in early cause my room was ready when I got there. Otherwise you can drop off your luggage and come back when it’s ready. They also stored my bag when I left at check out because my train was at night.Room 2 is ideal for a solo traveler, it’s a mini studio with everything you need! I would definitely stay there again in the future. Very good value for the price1min walk from Ménilmontant subway stop. All kinds of shops and restaurants around.

The proximity to the metro , location, and the acquaintanceEven the fact that I had my baggage fixed in place by the owner ,priceless!!

    9AngelaPosted on: 10-13-2025

The lady on reception was lovely. Room was clean and the shower was nice and hot. Slept like a baby, as though located in a busy area there was complete silence at night.

It was safe and clean. The room was quite spacious and it had a small kitchenette.

Very nice facilities. Metro a block away. Interesting neighborhood with lots of food and grocery stores

    8CarolinePosted on: 9-24-2025

The room I stay very big and clean, near market and metro too

They don’t clean after 2 nights , or change the towel or toilet paper , but the staff is lovely and helpful, also next to the hotel have some homeless

Great location, area is really nice and the street is peaceful, good links to city centre by foot or metro

No complaints, it was great for our short stay

    6sinaPosted on: 9-21-2025

It was clean and it had many good basic requirements despite room’s small size.

Not centrally located. Bathroom too small, a fat person would not be able to use the toilet. No ice available. No water would be provided after first day. Some of staff not that helpful while others are.

I loved the fact that English is almost never heard in this neighborhood. I used my rusty French. I love doing that! It is a small apartment with a useful kitchen. It's as if you live in Paris. Easy to walk in & from & very close Metro stations

There is no common area outside to sit. No A/C but the fan works well The area is a bit seedy but not unsafe.

    8MeghanPosted on: 6-22-2025

Our room, though small, was bright, modern, and well-appointed. One could easily minimize travel expenses by utilizing the kitchenette. Temperatures were hot during our stay, but we slept comfortably with the fan that was provided. Staff members were friendly and quick to help, whether storing our bags prior to check-in or assisting with the in-room safe. The room was surprisingly quiet overnight, despite it's location near the road and entry gate.

Minimal signage meant it was difficult to see the location of the hotel as we approached. The property is accessed through a locked gate facing the road, and it wasn't immediately apparent how to get the attention of a staff member to gain entry, short of calling out a greeting.

    It was clean.

It was very tiny. Half of the rooms are on the ground floor of the courtyard and when it’s warm, if you open the windows (since there’s no air conditioning)anyone can see in as they pass your windows. If you have open the windows and remove the chain lock between them anyone can come in. The kitchen area of the small studio is actually well equipped with a table, refrigerator etc.

Very clean, great location, and friendly, welcoming staff!

    4KristinaPosted on: 4-26-2025

It was in a really good location

Very cramped for 2 people with suitcases. The safe didn’t work, the kitchen was too small to be usable. The bathroom was also tiny and the chairs and table were too small and cramped to use. There was very basic tea and coffee. Would be OK for a single traveller.

    8Ann-mariePosted on: 4-22-2025

The room was actually a small studio flat with kitchenette, shower room, single bed, and private front door opening onto an outside terrace. It was very safe as the reception room was by the front gate and it had a code key for exit and entry. The location is near the Metro and Pere Lachaise cemetery. Very easy to get around by the Metro. There are several bistros in the area and a couple of shops for basics.

My towels were never changed even though I was there for three nights and the rubbish accumulated in my room. But it was Easter weekend, so that may be the reason. I did hang a sign on the door for room service, but I think it blew over in the wind.

    10HelenPosted on: 4-19-2025

This hotel is clean, quiet and well-equipped for a short stay. Staff was friendly. It's located between two different metro lines and there were plenty of eateries around in the neighbourhood.
