Modern Hotel

The hotel is very French and the staff was very kind. It is close to the Métro and not far from popular attractions and food options. The breakfast is a good value for the cost.

As others have mentioned, the hotel does not have an elevator (which can also be part of the charm), can be a bit noisy (not surprising in an urban environment), and the WiFi was inconsistent.

No elevator , staff didn’t bother to help with 4 luggage and we are 2 girls

Simple but very decent hotel. Nice familiar neighborhood. The young guy who stayed at night in the front desk is really nice and helpful.

No elevator, but we stayed at the second floor, so that was not a big problem for us. Noise at night, since other guests talk loud and make noise going up and down at the stairs.

No lift as many people already motioned,no ironing machine in the while hotel ( I have stayed in many hotels, this hotel is the only one no have it.) The hairdryer is useless. No mirror in the room.

If you enjoy strict rules and limited freedom, this might be the place for you. I did not travel to Paris to feel like my movements were supervised.Visitors are not allowed and even food delivery cannot be brought to the room, you have to go downstairs yourself. It felt less like a hotel and more like a controlled facility. Very disappointing, not clearly disclosed before booking and definitely affected my stay.

Everything was great. Value for money, great staff and great location. The room was comfortable and clean.

The only thing I would say was a minus, was that the rooms were not very soundproof resulting to listening to noises from the stairs and the rest rooms.

The location of the hotel was in a decent neighbourhood, close to a metro station and also about 1 hour walk from Notre-Dame de Paris. There were some nice bakeries in about 20-25 min range and also turned out there was a farmers market on the sunday also about 30 min. Overall location is good, outside the crowded centre but also close enough to walk to it and/or take public transport if going a bit further or don't want to walk too much.

The hotel is super small! We took a two bed bedroom, which on the pictures when I was booking looked much much bigger. In fact it was two single beds with a small bed lamp between, couple of chairs, small table on the wall with a teapot and a 15 inch TV with small selection of channels (though on the plus side we watched the world cup in darts! :) ) Bathroom was also quite small and if you wanted to open a window (which was a door), privacy is gone (literally out the window). Shower was decent, but overall for the price I would expect better equiped bathroom and room.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would gladly return. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the cozy bed and the stunning view from the balcony.The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and the whole city.Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.

The staff are wonderful--polite, professional and helpful.The Metro is just a couple of blocks away and there are numerous cafés within the block, grocery stores and even laundromats. so excellent location.

That there is no elevator. Very difficult carry suitcases upstairs,as we had travelled from Australia and had quite heavy suitcases. Very small rooms nowhere to put suitcases. Just

Very good location next to the market and the metro even close to the very center on foot. Very kind people there

Too small room. Had no a/c. In 7 nights they didnt change the sheets. No elevator at the 4th floor. There was no fridge not even a place to out your luggage.Small double bed.

No elevator so I'm not sure the name ''Modern'' is accurate. It's common in Paris though and not usually a huge issue but not great when you walk with a cane and your room is on the 6th floor.
