- Hotel looks so sweet on the outside, and the staff were absolutely superb. Every question was answered with a smile, and no request was too difficult. When going on holiday, I use the hotel as simply a place to sleep and get ready - this is the perfect place for that. Bed was comfy, room had the right amount of space, bathroom did the job.
- Everything was great; the hotel’s location was excellent. The metro station was very close, and it was easy to reach many central areas. The room size was more than sufficient. The bathroom and toilet were small, but this was not a major issue. Some reviews mentioned that the walls were thin and that noise could be heard—this is partly true, but since we were out all day and our neighbors were not noisy, it didn’t cause any problems for us. Our return flight was at night, and the hotel kindly stored our luggage for the whole day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. For this price, it is one of the best places to stay in central Paris.
- Perfect location in the 11th arrondissement, a few minutes walk from the Cimetière du Père-Lachaise and Place de la Bastille. Well connected with public transport as well! The staff was very friendly and available for any questions/requests. Thank you!
Cons -
- If I’m being picky, I’d say maybe more coat hangers in the wardrobe.
- It is an old building without an elevator. Carrying luggage up and down the stairs might be challenging for some.
- I loved everything about the property.

Because I stay there every time I go to Paris. It’s basic, but clean and the staff are lovely. Location excellent
Location is very good. Outside the rush but conveniently close to the Voltaire Metro station.
It is an old building without an elevator. Carrying luggage up and down the stairs might be challenging for some.
Great location, sweet staff, and good price! The room was just what we needed, nothing too crazy but all the essentials.
I loved everything about the property.
Location is fine if you already know Paris.
Not as advertised. Very tired, old building. Unusual guests late at night. Not safe for women alone, in my opinion.Only told after checking in that I was on the top floor with no lift. The bathrooms are not fit for purpose - sockets exposed to a shower in the ceiling, rusted bin on the floor, water directly flows from the shower into the sink and the bin. I left the hotel early as it was not possible to stay and was ignored, even when I spoke to the staff. The staff dishonestly claimed that I had not informed them I was leaving, despite carrying two large suitcases downstairs, returning the only key, and saying I was leaving. They argued with me about a refund & tried to claim more money from me as a result of making a complaint. Booking customer service confirmed this behaviour had been logged and would be investigated further.
This hotel is located very close to the Voltaire metro which was very well connected to everywhere I needed to get to. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. There are many restaurants and shops in the immediate area, and also a short distance from the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery.
The rooms do not block any noise at all, from the hall or from the joining bedrooms. I felt like the person staying next door was staying with me as I could hear him so clearly through the walls. Despite the fact that the heating was on all the time, I found the room to be cold at all times. The heat was easily escaping through the spaces between the door and the floor during a particularly cold visit. The bathroom was not very clean, and the shower is quite awkward as it is literally a few inches from the toilet itself. I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and there is no lift. I was on the 5th floor.
when I needed access to a UK plug adapter I was provided one promptly.
The room was very cold considering the time of year. I had to sleep in a jacket to maintain warmth as I slept. Main Concierge spoke very little English which made dialogue awkward and hand gesture based - highly surprised given the amount of international travellers he potentially has to communicate with on an annual basis. I had to carry my luggage up 5 flights of stairs with no assistance, unacceptable.
Convenient location and very friendly staffThe room was clean and comfortable
The room was small, especially the bathroom where you have to plan carefully before taking a shower. Also the advertised coffee making facility is communal, when I thought it would be in each room.
The price for the quality of the accommodation, I thought, was high. My room was on the 3rd floor, up a single narrow stairway. I would hate to have to escape in the night or day if there was a fire. Put it this way, I wouldn't stay there again.
Shabby room and bedding and curtains. Unwelcoming. Im glad it was just for one night.
Bare minimum hotel when you...
I specifically asked them not to come in for cleaning, but they did anyway. I felt really uncomfortable, especially since the hotel itself didn’t feel very secure. I told the reception in person and also messaged them through Booking.com. When I complained, they didn’t apologise — instead, they told me I should thank the cleaner. Just a bare minimum hotel. Don’t bring anything valuable.
The 3 staff members were all lovely, so helpful and accommodating. The location was excellent, around the corner from the metro station. The shower water pressure was great. And the towels and linens were clean.
The mattress had a bit of a dip or is not firm enough and the mattress protector makes a crunchy plastic sound. And there isn’t a separate shower, but rather a shower head/hose in the corner (so the floor and toilet get wet).
All dirty. Beds are broken and mattress has a hole. Sounds leaks from everywhere and most of the guests are creepy. I really advice anyone not to book with them or with booking.com at all
everything
The hotel has a great location near metro line 9 and there's a McDonald's nearby in case you get in late and want something to eat, there are other restaurants nearby as well. The staff was very nice.
It's a great place, it wasn't an issue for me but be aware that it has no elevator so keep that in mind before booking
A very quiet place apart from usual people coming and going. No smell (I think this is important as bad smell will ruin a room). Helpful hosts. Not a positive or negative but this room was very small but that is what you get for the money and location. Im not complaining and had no problem with the room size.
Only minor: Sink could have done with a plug and needed toilet paper restocked.
People real kind, we stayed vey comfortableWell situated, the place Bastilla real cute!
The toilet very small
The staff were friendly and the location is convenient for the metro.
When I arrived at Hotel Anya, I found out that my room was unavailable but arrangements had been made for me to stay at the hotel around the corner, LPL Hotel. I'm not sure when my room became unavailable but I was not informed beforehand and did not have a choice about accepting the alternative accommodation. I don't mind a very basic room on a budget, but I would not have booked at LPL Hotel, as I was travelling alone and some of the reviews suggested it was unsafe. On arriving home I also note that the prices on their website are about €15-20 cheaper than Hotel Anya but I did not receive any money back. All I am after with a budget stay is a clean room with a bed, a toilet, and a door that locks. The room did have a bed, although it sank in the middle and was generally uncomfortable. However, the door did not lock and unlock reliably. I couldn't get it open on first going up to the room, and had to get someone to help. When I got back from my activities later that afternoon, I had to try about five times before I could unlock it. It was also difficult to lock from the inside, although I did manage it in the end. The room thus felt quite unsafe, especially if there had been a fire and I'd had to leave in a hurry. The bathroom "door" was really more of a screen, and it would not stay shut at all while I was using the shower, so I ended up with water all over the floor. The only way to keep it shut when I was using the loo was to hold it closed! When I woke up in the morning, I had insect bites. I had to practically boil myself (and all my clothes) on arriving home last night, because I was worried about bedbugs. If I'd had more than one night booked, I would have stayed elsewhere.
Location . Near to voltaire metro line 9. Just 5 min walk to metro.Receptionist is very kind. Allowed early checkin. We can keep our luggage also after checkout for some time.Cost effective.
Difficult to carry luggage to room. No lift. Steps were very narrow.
Nice staff and location
Too expensive for what it is.No elevator and it was not mencioned anywhere. This property is only considered a hotel in Paris. Anywhere else it would not have this name.
