    Pros +

    • Location was great. Staff was helpful. Beds were fine.
    • Really liked the staff, breakfast was very good, croissants , eggs, coffee, yogourt, chesse etc. Charming hotel in a old bank, small stylish elevator, free newspaper, secured WiFI, 24 hour service. Comfortable and cosy. Good food nearby.
    • It met every expectation as far as location, room, cleanliness, staff was very helpful and friendly. Could mot ask fot berter hotel at the price point.would definitely stay again.

    Cons -

    • A bit dated as most hotels in downtown Paris are. Would have liked to have had an electric kettle or "hot pot". Could not find a valve to turn off the heat from the radiator so had to use the A/C to regulate the over heating. Breakfast seemed pricey.
    • Bathroom would benefit from an upgrade.
    • The breakfast charge was much for what was offered.should have been included.

Not really close to any of the interesting places to visit in Paris

This hotel is built in the wonderful Belle Époque style. Wonderful! Very friendly staff. Although the hotel is centrally located, it was very quiet. The value for money is unbeatable.

Very spacious room and bathroom, all styled in « la belle époque » fashion. Friendly personnel, good breakfast. Perfect location not far from Opéra and Gare Saint-Lazare.

Lift was too narrow but you can tell it was built in XIX century, so no complaints.

    Very calm and clesn room.

All three of us had at least 15 Moskito bites. The room was full of Moskitos. The heating in the whole hotel and in the room was far too hot. We couldn't sleep the first night, eventuell with open windows.

The charm of this hotel is that it reminds you of the elegance of Paris. Some would call it old-fashioned but its fashion is timeless and frankly the quirkiness of it comes along with friendly staff, very spacious rooms, authentic period decor, and genuine comfort.

Our bathroom was snug and old-fashioned but that’s part of the charm. If the radiator got too warm, we just opened the window.

The location was excellent - right smack in the middle of these areas - l'Opéra, Galerie Lafayette, Montmartre. A step to the Metro! The room had everything needed, huge comfortable bed, table and chairs for writing, eating, etc. Not contemporary but a lovely look to the past with all modern amenities needed. Friendly staff at all times of the day.

The only problem I came across the day arrived was that the toilet bowl was poorly cleaned - it may have only been on that day but it was a disappointment.

    Lousy service.

Hotel refused to accommodate a request for a change of date, so we lost $1,600. Would not recommend a stay with a hotel that cannot make accommodations with plenty of advanced notice. This is the ONLY hotel that wouldn't accommodate on our Europe trip which had to be cancelled.

I had a wonderful room on the fifth floor, decorated in a historic Belle Époque style, with an antique mirror, statues, and decorative stucco details. I truly enjoyed staying there. It was a little warm at night because of the heating, but the windows could be opened, so it was not a problem. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

I stayed in a room with a view on the back court and it was very quiet during the night. The hotel is nicely decorated. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and it always feels good to be back.

The location is amazing - subway around the corner - printemps and gallery Lafayette a 8 min walk - nice restaurants in the area
