Luxor Bastille Hotel

No air conditioning in the rooms. Poorly maintained plumbing. Lack of shower supplies. In 5 days towels were changed not once. No telephone in the room.

This place was a horrific nightmare

The man managing the hotel locked me in & accosted me when I checked out. I'm considering filling a police report

Don’t go there

We were met by a grumpy staff member who did not explain where anything was, the bath lacked a plug, there was a kettle with no tea and I was bitten in the night by bed bugs. You could hear absolutely every sound in the whole place which was scary

Great location near the train station and metro is also close by. Good choice for a few nights

Most of the staff were rude and refused to understand me, even after I switched from English to basic French.

I sty for 10 nights i paid everything in online 1st of they give me a room in 4 th floor i have luggage tha don’t fit in the elevator thne the bathroom has no toothpaste they have ac on room but i ask thme to trun it on they say i have to pay extra i got 1 espresso from the loby they say its not free i have to pay i have small fridge at my room don’t work they say they have some issu going on the closet smell so bad 1st they i came late from outside the front deks guy told me i have to come to room at 12. Am i was like im in vacation not in my mom home but next day i told the front desk anywer in the world if you go to hotel u at least got a free water i was like if I know all this i will never sty in the hotel but

The location and the breakfast were good. Bed was comfy.

I had just a little toilet paper, no more. and only one towel.

The Hotel is well located for the Bastille area and therefore travel on the Metro 1 line to major arts facilities. there are plenty of decent cafes and restaurants nearby.

The hotel was clean but the mattress protector on my bed had been washed so many times that it was exceptionally bobbly and therefore made the sheets itchy.The plug lever on the wash basin didn't work so I couldn't drain water away from it after a shave. The shower lever didn't work so I couldn't change the taps from bath to shower. Neither was there a bath plug so I couldn't have a bath. I had to resort to splashing myself with water from the running bath tap to have a wash. The reception asked me for the tourist tax upfront in cash when I arrived but when I received my invoice I found that they had already charged it via my initial booking. As I paid this in cash when I arrived it's a scam and the staff are skimming guests.

Nothing really I think the staff needs to be taught customer care especially the cleaners. They kept bashing into my room while I’m sitting sleeping.Even using their key to open the door and invade my privacy. I reported this to different staff at the reception but nothing was done about it.Two white male receptionist were exceptionally nice though as they went out of their way to help.

The setting,constant noise from my window I don’t know if there is a pub at the reception by mid night.Staff struggled a lot with communication in English so there wasn’t much to explain.It was indeed frustrating.

It was so bad that we didn’t even stay, lost our money and had to find another hotel that same night.

The location of the Hotel is great, close to Bastille Metro, walking distance to Marais. My room was very quite, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The Room was very small, wifi connection was slow and the bathroom amenities very basic.

small room, stains on the sheets, smelly towels (even after they were cleaned)they did not replace the toilet paper on time.no water stopper for the bathtub. lots of sharp corners in the bathroom (+ no towel to put on the floor = slippery and dangerous to wash there). there was a smoke sometimes in the room (smb was clearly smoking in the nearby rooms in the evening and in the morning, because the smell did not come from the window).noisy neighbours (every morning their alarm was ringing for 15-40min! they did not switch it off in time, so disrespectful…)some suspicious people around and in the hotel…shabby , poorly maintained property and the streetextremely narrow elevator

Room was fine, though nothing more :)

Stairwell was dated and a bit dirty, it was mostly clean but not amazingly so.. aircon didn’t really seem to work so I was quite warm overnight

Location is good, close to the plaza and transportation options.

Not perfectly clean, very small and narrow stars and elevator. It should be noted that air conditioning in the room is not free, they charge 50 euros for the remote control.

Gave us hot water, although not boiled

Long list starting with noisy aircon loud buzzing through the night. Water dripping into the air con -risk of fire, Vey dangerous. Slide door to toilet broken No privacy. Fire alarm went off at 4am no apologies. Shower head not working. Fridge not working. Staff laughed at my complaint ,said it was a French Hotel. Complained in the morning and asked Hotel for full refund. Booking com informed. Reception said they gave me the room knowing it was noisy and in poor condition.

Great loacation close to Gare de Lyon and Bastille. It is a Parisian 2 Star hotel so whilst it is good and clean and well located for what it is do not expect luxury.

How to live without comfort

The shower was mold, the toilet paper has been use and no replace ( 3 leaves ), no shower gel and the shower tubes was broken what a nice place ! I take my shower with a glass
