    Pros +

    • I didn't see a hotel in Paris that I would have rather stayed at. Quality, convenience, atmosphere, and bustling little square. The staff was all extremely helpful, despite the fact that in our tired state that we often forgot to have change to tip with.
    • The breakfast was good
    • Many other better options around.

    Cons -

    • The staircase and elevator in the section we stayed in are tiny, but in the end, this added more to the quaint feeling, and became one of the things we liked.
    • Too much noise because the room was too low and too much smoke
    • The one elevator was out of service, and the only stairs up to the room were narrow and dangerous. The breakfast was absolutely the bare minimum, with a rock hard croissant, service done by a cleaning person, and the second day the breakfast wasn’t even available. Good location but that’s about it

Gorgeous property, beautiful location as well as central to many great parts of Paris

The guest lounge area isn’t particularly inviting

Good location. large room and beds (we took their biggest though)

WiFi barely worked, only one outlet worked.Shower’s water pressure was so weak you could barely shower.Rooms and facilities are very outdated, weird vibe in the hotel

Room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel is in an ancient building of character in Odeon. Conveniently located, near many restaurants and places of interest in Saint Germain.

The location was perfect! So many restaurants and cafes near by! The property was beautiful and the staff was so friendly! Breakfast was amazing!!

Perfect location! And everything you want in a Paris hotel. Quaint, beautiful with great staff and breakfast. Would recommend to friends.

Great location. Clean and neat room. Beautiful Paris street view from outside the windows. Helpful service.

The wash basin drain is slow. The lift is really small. The staff helped us with the luggages, otherwise we need to have multiple trips up and down.

Very comfortable beds and great location. We had two rooms, the one with a king bed was on the 5th floor with only an attic window and had a tiny terrace, however the bathroom was very narrow a bit difficult to maneuver around. The other had 2 twin beds and was on the first floor. It was a great size with lovely windows facing the street for good people watching.

We had to leave the key each time we left the hotel and there was only 1 key. This made it a bit tricky to coordinate when 1 person came back earlier than the other. The elevator was very tiny - it could either fit 2 people or 1 person+luggage, but we appreciated it after staying in places that only had stairs. The front desk staff person in the evening seemed annoyed with simple requests, such as asking for an iron and ironing board.

Excellent location in Odeon section of Saint Germain de Pres. Charming boutique hotel, very quiet, well appointed rooms, good breakfast, comfortable beds, and helpful staff.

Loved the old world hotel layout. The bedrooms were special with the wood beams and Paris window views. Great breakfasts. The location was a buzz with out door diners.

Everything and especially hospitality and wonderful service from day staff Anna when I checked in. Night staff Christopher was helpful also. Loved my room and the delicious breakfast. Love this charming hotel.

Location and homey feel, new bathrooms.

Cleanliness has slipped, rooms feel grubby and there is too much furniture in the rooms. Quality of breakfast not as good as previous owner

    9LynnPosted on: 6-21-2025

The location is excellent. Staff extremely nice and accommodating.

Very tight quarters but nothing unusual for Europe. Complimentary breakfast could be better. They need to put non-slip something in tubs as very dangerous for showers.

I liked everything - the nice spacy room with the book, the hospitality, the breakfast, the location. Highly recommended place to stay. Thanks a lot!

Great location, good room, great view of the bustling but still quaint intersection. Super friendly and felt like a perfect base from which to explore. Did i mention location and transport access?

Super small elevator. Bathroom shower left a little be desired but it was fine given the space. efficient.

The hotel was beautiful - traditional French building with rooms very tastefully decorated. We had a view onto the square and it was just lovely - gorgeous bathroom (beautiful tiles & gold coloured shower & taps etc), very comfy bed, with couch by the window (which clearly became a 3rd bed if needed/booked). The windows must have been triple glazed because when they were shut we heard nothing in the room from outside. Front of House were wonderfully cooperative and polite. Breakfast was very nice albeit prescribed with not much choice. Location wise, couldn’t be better - Carrefour de l’Odeon is a 30s walk from the Odeon metro stop (direct line from Gare du Nord, to where we got the train from the airport). It’s less than 10m walk to Notre Dame, and to the Saint Michel metro, which is where we caught the RER-C train to Versailles Palace. Musee d’Orsay, Louvre, Tuileries, Jardin du Luxembourg, Pompidou are all between 5-15m walk away. Food-wise, there are any number of cafes & brasseries to whet any appetite!

The bathroom in our room was segmented by a curtain not a door - not a problem for us but something to be aware of (can’t comment on other rooms of course). But did love the fact that the WC was separate to the bathroom area. Breakfast - was downstairs in the adjoining cafe. Lovely staff there but you were presented with breakfast - a mini baguette each and a croissant (both freshly baked), with a plate of white ham and Comte to accompany. We loved it, and it definitely filled you up but don’t expect a full cooked breakfast - it’s only continental on offer. There’s a few side options (pastries, jams, boiled egg, yoghurt, trout) and I saw one local ask for scrambled egg which looked nice. Price-wise - it’s at the top end of what I’d like to pay for what you get. Yes the hotel is beautifully presented and everything is so wonderfully French, but €50 cheaper a night would have made it more palatable. Oh, and not a reflection on the hotel but remember that city taxes are payable on departure, circa €8 pp/pn.. But would I stay there again? Absolutely!!

This hotel boasts a perfect location, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars, metro stations, bus stops, historical sights, and grocery stores—everything you could possibly need is within reach! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating; they went out of their way to assist us with our early arrival and were incredibly helpful throughout our visit.

Our experience was amazing! Though we found the lobby to be quite small. I understand that the hotel is housed in an older building, but the limited space felt a bit cramped. Not a deal breaker though
