Pros +
- The bed is comfortable enough and it's clean.
- Exactly the right place to stay, Zayn was really helpful both with the hotel and at the bar. Definitely a great location and a good price
- The Staff is very friendly and available. The room is good value for the price, but the location is very not ideal. People were fighting in the streets for at least an hour before the cops came.
Cons -
- The single room is tiny, not like in the pictures. The neighbourhood is really shady at night. Hookers in every corner. the walls are super thin, so forget about sleeping in.
- Stairs, but that's life and I knew to expect it
- The room is very small, and I was surprised by the shower placement. My fridge wasn’t working properly. The kettle wasn’t emptied, which is gross.

Welcoming and helpful staff, clean room with facilities.
The area during evening get little sketchy, but it's Paris ;)
Nice staff
Narrow rooms , and some insect bite me may hands and body, not sure which but it was during night
Clean bed
Where do I start ? I don’t want to be negative too much because I feel like they were trying their best and hardest to accommodate me. So what I will say is if you spend most the day exploring and come back just to sleep. And eat their good food. SureThe space tho? No! I love good space. At least enough to walk freely. The room smell I can’t get out my nose and the fridge did not work. I was too in a rush to even bring it up. The location immediately shut my excitement down for Paris! I’m sorry ! IT WAS GIVEN THIS IS NOT SAFE! First impression ! However, the second day the guy at the front stays all night. That made me feel a little better. The steak and fries was the highlight of the hotel. Must say, it was the second decent meal I had in Paris altogether and. I ate a lot !
Close to Metros and and 15 minute walk to Montmarte. Room very basic (spartan even) but clean. Reception attentive to requests and carried my luggage up to my room without even a request by me (in my 60s) which I appreciated.
Area seems possibly unsafe at night so I would make sure I was back at the hotel shortly after sunset. Noise from the street abated by 11 the first night but continued through most of the night on second with loud conversations outside accompanied by sound of a guest in room above preparing to depart at 3 or 4 in the morning.
The owner and staff were simply terrific, extremely accommodating, highly responsive to our needs and requests, very cordial and friendly, and well-spoken in English. Zane even made a point of apologizing for street noise outside our window, when the nature of the noise was completely disjoint from the hotel and out of their control or influence. Upon check-in Zane and the owner immediately took our bags up the stairs; we don't know if that is standard for every guest, but at our age we had been a little apprehensive about the hotel not having an elevator, so of course our concerns were immediately put to rest. The hotel location is well served by local shops and by the Metro system, the hotel wi-fi works quite well, and there is an adjoining coffee bar and small restaurant immediately off the lobby (from which Zane offered us plates and dinnerware the night we came back from the nearby grocery store arms loaded with food for our eat-in dinner that night in our room).
Well, of course one understands that the size of the room and the nature of the furnishings can always be elevated if one is willing to spend a great deal more on the accommdation. But let's be clear: the room was perfectly suited for our needs, clean and well attended to, meaningfully equipped and at a terrific price point. We will use this opportunity to offer two suggestions to the owner: first, consider installing a hook on the back of the bathroom door for hanging one's post-shower robe or t-shirt; second, our room was equipped with a small refrigerator but we do not recall that this feature was included on the description we read when we made the reservation on booking.com.
the staff was very respectful and kind. I had an emergency situation and both morning and night staff were very humane and showed support . thank you so much
The staff was very welcoming and kind. They introduced us to the city and ensured we had a comfortable stay.
The neighbourhood is very lively, however after 11pm it gets more quiet and luckily the windows are well insulated.
The staff was extremely friendly, polite, generous and helpful. The hotel is pretty nice too, no frills, but pretty good.
Walk only a few minutes from metro station to hotel. Location is convenient for visiting Montmartre. Room is clean. Zayn & Assia are very friendly and helpful.
The room is clean and has just enough floorspace to do stretches in the morning.Supplies for tea and a kettle are provided.Conveniently between two metros, Château Rouge and Marcadet-Poissonniers.There is a bar restaurant downstairs, but I didn't use it.They let me leave my luggage after I checked out, no charge.
The stairways are narrow and steep. The neighbourhood is busy and loud.It looks rundown from the outside; there is no lobby for guests to hang around.
The staff - the breakfast lady was the best as well as ZaynBreakfast was good The price
There is a step to get into the shower and it was quite difficult because the shower door was only about 18" wide. Not suitable for large guests. Difficult to get in/out and we're slim.
The location was convenient: close to Monmartr and Paris Est train station.
There was a noise at 4 am from people singing karaoke in the bar downstairs. Also, I could hear clearly my neighbors turning water in a shower, shutting doors and so on.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. One thing that really stood out was the staff — everyone was kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. The Wi-Fi was stable, and breakfast was included. The metro is just a 5-minute walk away, and the street itself is pretty quiet due to very little car traffic.
Cons:1. The biggest concern is the neighborhood. If you’re a woman, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. After sunset, some very sketchy people show up on the streets (you get the idea), and it honestly feels unsafe to be outside.2. There was no housekeeping during our entire 4-day stay — not even a bottle of water was replenished.3. The room was extremely small and felt cramped. Poor ventilation made it humid and stuffy most of the time.4. The breakfast is a classic Parisian style — a croissant, bread with butter, and juice. It’s fine on day one, but by the second day, you’ll be craving protein and something more filling. There are additional options available, but for an extra cost.Only suitable if you plan to be out all day and need easy metro access — just avoid going out after dark.
Lovely little place! The staff were super nice and the room was very comfortable. Only thing missing is hangers/ wardrobe, but if you’re not staying for long then it’s not an issue!
The hotel itself is great, the area unfortunately is quite noisy since it’s right next to a school. It can also get very noisy at night, so don’t forget your ear plugs!
I liked that the hotel matched what was in the picture. The rooms were as clean as possible, it was warm and cozy. I would like to thank the host, Zayn and Assia for their help with any questions I had
It would probably be nice to have a closet for things in the room because there are none. Also, for those who have not been to Paris, the neighborhood though close to Montmartre is very peculiar... If you like Africa and the Middle East, you will obviously like it
Small and stinky
Room was tiny and nothing like the pictures. Claustrophobic, with barely any space to move, as the entire space was taken by the bed. There was also a strong smell of cigarette that left me with a headache. The location was horrible. Despite being close to Montmartre (main reason why I chose this hotel), the neighboorhood was dirty, smelly and messy.I did not enjoy my stay at all and would not recommend the hotel to anyone.Completely disappointing - particularly given it was not a cheap room. At that price point, I would have expected something simple but clean, at least
The location is a bit scruffy, but friendly and vibrant, felt safe enough. People were friendly. I like the fact it's above a cafe and restaurant, and was glad to stay in and have dinner and breakfast. Breakfast for 5 Euro is pretty good value as I got a nice coffee, croissant, cheese, pain au chocolat and baguette, butter, jam, plus a yoghurt. The staff are super nice and attentive and friendly, very accommodating and helpful. I made the effort to speak French but several of the staff speak English. They kindly stored my bag on drop off and after check out. The bed was large and the mattress and pillows really comfortable. Also really handy for walking to the Gare du Nord (as a single woman in my 50s, wheeling a suitcase). There is a small windy staircase that may have been difficult for my to carry my bag up, but the young lady took it up for me on arrival. Zayn gave great, efficient and attentive service during dinner and made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
I had asked to check in early, which was confirmed, but still had to wait until the normal time. I was able to leave my bag and take a walk, so it wasn't too bad really. The socket above the bed was a bit dodgy and made the appliances flicker a bit. The sink in the toilet is really tiny, but once you know, it's fine, a bit like an airplane toilet size. The main issue is the lack of soundproofing between the bedrooms, so you can hear the other guests quite clearly. Take earplugs and it won't bother you!
