Hôtel Verlaine

The staff are super friendly and helpful. This was my first stay in the Place d'Italie area. It's a gem. A lively, authentic neighborhood with plenty of good restaurants. The metro is just a short walk away, with 3 lines to choose from.

Friendly staff and great hospitality. There is also easy access to the main railway stations of Paris, so I often stop here to break a rail journey from London to Milan. I never regret it.

Elodie and the rest of the staff are excellent. You really feel like you are part of something special. The location is wonderful, right near Place d'Italie so it's very easy to get around the city on the metro. The water pressure in the bathroom is great and honestly, it's a lovely old-fashioned place, and I mean that with great compliment. I felt welcomed and taken care of and safe from the moment I arrived.

Clean rooms, clean toilets, very friendly staff, change towels and other cleaning stuff every day. Bed made daily. Rooms were loser together. Very 'French' location not too touristy. Easy walk to train station and from there into Paris Centre. Small shopping centre nearby. Many local restaurants, pubs and bars.

Room size and bed size are small. Very small central area. Good for just coming to sleep and going out for the rest of the day. No complimentary breakfast. No airconditioning therefor, noise comes in from the street. Very little noise insulation (you can hear other guests and their footsteps)

The property had an authentic feel to it. Small but clean and charming. Fantastic hosts! Very welcoming and warm.

I would prefer to have a switch to adjust the heating a little down, otherwise it was like summer in the room

I like everything, clean, quiet, friendly, nice view from the window, place , very close to Panteon.

Real family own hotel with heart, in an historical district at the price of a plastic box room in the suburbs.

The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was good being a short walk from Place d'Italie and the Metro.

The unit was definitely tired and could use a refresh/reno.

The staff were very nice, especially the lady in the morning reception and the guy on night shift, they were kind to offer me an early check in as I arrived earlier. The room was clean, good location close to metro and buses.

Location location! Short walk from i’italie station.French windows with little balcony overlooking street. Staff so helpful in print off travel instructions for me.

No lift for a heavy suitcase ( hey had it bed. Invented when built centuries ago. ) however the staff lifted it up and down for me

Extremely generous breakfast, which sets you up for a day in Paris. Fresh baguettes and croissants delivered by local boulangerie. Location of hotel is also great - lovely neighbourhood vibe, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and short walk (approx 7 mins) to metro.

Shower door was a bit insecure which I mentioned to lady on Reception. She was aware of same and I understand is waiting on someone to come and fix it.

The room was tiny but it worked for us for three nights. The location was a short walk to a Metro station and had lots of cafes and shops nearby.

The stairs are very steep and curved with no elevator.

Location is about 8 mins walk from Place D’Italie metro. The owner/receptionist is very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good.

It’s an old building so there’s no lift. But it only has 3 storeys so it’s not too bad but bear that in mind.

The staff. Wow! I arrived late at night (because of my flight) and this was no issue. The owner is simply fantastic. She is kind and extremely helpful. She remembered my coffee order after the first night and breakfast was ready and waiting to go every morning (Breakfast was 10/10). I was blown away with the level of service provided and I absolutely will stay here again when I return to Paris.

Nothing. The hotel itself is limited due to the buildings age but that is out of their hands. As long as you are aware there is no lift and can handle the stairs, you will have a wonderful stay.

I went to Paris for the Olympics and I had a wonderful time. As well as enjoying every moment of the Games, I also really enjoyed staying at Hôtel Verlaine.The hotel was very clean and tidy. It was also in a very central location, close to the metro and close to lots of shops and restaurants.However the best thing about Hôtel Verlaine was the amazing host 'Elodie' who went out of her way to make every guest feel special and to help in any way that she could. My very happy memories of Paris 2024 will always include Elodie and Hôtel Verlaine.
