The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English very well.

Rooms look much nicer in photos than in person. The room lighting is yellow. TV is small (24"). Bath towels are old. Toilet was next to a window so people could see your shadow from outside. Some upgrades were made, but rooms are very old. Doors are thin.

Very clean, with a modern design. Great, quiet location, but still pretty central and easy to get to. The staff is all young and very friendly.

The WiFi was a bit iffy at times, as I think it can get overloaded on the weekends when the hotel is full, but staff was very helpful and worked to fix the issue very quickly.

The location, breakfast and room size were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had nice big windows which you could open. The umbrellas were handy.

The bath plug wasn’t working and the seals around the bath needed a good scrub and resealing. The shower head could do with a replacement. The noise from the building works was acceptable. The beds weren’t very comfy but acceptable.

The bathroom had stains, the walls were peeling off and had holes, the nightstand was dusty and at 7 am people started drilling and hammering when we wanted to rest.

Great location near two metro stops and the area was full of shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and kind. You can also leave your baggage with them after check out, if you have some extra hours to visit the city. The room was cleaned everyday, they even refilled water and coffee for us. The bed was comfortable. Strongly recommended!

Convenient location for getting around Paris

Clean with a comfortable bed. Had to connect the kettle down on the floor though and the shower was not particularly powerful.

Room is small but at least has a window, which can be uncommon in Paris

No soundproofing at all, could hear everything going on in neighbouring rooms and corridor. Bathroom could have been cleaner, especially the shower. Suggest to add to each room a sign to hang on the door to help cleaners identify the rooms that need cleaning or the rooms that do not.

Very good location near to Le Republique. The room is nicely decorated, and there is some great restaurants nearby.

The layout of the room makes its difficult to move around when there is two people with a couple of medium size cases.

Front desk guy & girl was supportive, continental breakfast in restaurant in basement, shops around hotel and staff was nice, they support us for taxi and information about train and sightseeing.

room size is very small , thick that you will only sleep on bed very less moving space. toilet / washroom is very small.

Nice hotel in a great location for restaurants/boulangerie and for getting the metro around Paris. Room was clean and well equipped for a few days stay.

Bedroom and hallway smell like mold. Carpets and curtains should be replaced, and bathroom very old (stains, broken bathtub, mold).

We were given a warm welcome on arrival, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.We had a really good sized room on the 4th floor (lift available as well as stairs) with a very comfortable bed, looking out over the rear of the hotel; we weren't bothered about a view, and it was amazingly quiet and peaceful. As other reviewers have commented, the bathroom was a good size too for Paris, and had a bath tub as well as a shower. Our room was serviced daily.There was a surprisingly wide variety of things to choose from for breakfast each morning, and the basement breakfast room was clean and well maintained.The hotel is withing easy reach of two metro stations, Oberkampf (nearer) and Republique, and there are frequent buses. There is a Monoprix (local supermarket) round the corner, which was handy for the odd item, and a really good range of café bars and restaurants in the surrounding streets for eating out; the vibe seemed to be pretty local, which only added to the enjoyment of our stay.

Simple check in and out process, and you can leave your bags there after checking out in case of a late flight etc, so you can explore.Paris a bit longer

Nothing to dislike

Great location with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. The front desk staff were very helpful, accommodating my early check-in request and ensuring the room’s heating worked properly. The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The building is quite old, so there’s a slight smell in the room and the floors creak, part of the Paris charm, I guess :) Some fixtures like the curtain holder and toilet paper holder were loose or falling off. I mentioned it to housekeeping, but they said it happens because of the building’s age.

Really good location and fair price. Nice view from the room.

It was quiet, close to restaurants

The bathroom was a safety hazard, slippery tiles when getting out of the shower, high step to get into shower that became slippery. The shower smelt of raw sewage, the smell come into the sleeping area. No where to put your suitcase.
