    Cons -

    • The toilets and showers are in different room. Perhaps they should show this is the description.
    • The clerk tried to scam us by having us pay trice. No AC and it was 95 degrees. Room 5 floors up, no stairs. Toilet was broken with feces piled up in it. Outside the hotel entrance a person threatened is unless we have him money.
    • Front desk incapable of printing a document. Shared toilet ran out of toilet paper. Opening and closing of doors of other rooms was very noisy.

Affordable and very convenient in its location, and good that reception was open all night.

Towels routinely should be placed in the rooms.

We liked the staff very much, always trying to solve the problems, and most of them they've solved...

We didn't like that, first: TV wasn't working (and we wished to watch some French TV in Paris), second: internet wasn't working properly at the 4th floor - c'mon, Paris is a City people like to be connected to post some things on the web... Then, third, our bed was broken. And I mean, totally broken, broken in the middle. We had a canyon between us in our sleep...

For the price and the location, this was a steal. The room itself was perfectly functional. There is absolutely nothing fancy or chic about it, but it got the job done perfectly. The 24 hour reception is always a great thing to have as well. They were all very nice and cordial.

The toilets were clean, but the walls and fixtures in the bathroom needed a clean. My room didnt have towels, though reception gave me one immediately. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up and down stairs.

There were cigarette butts all around the windows, the internet, wifi, and TV didn't work. The refrigerator door was so damaged, we won't be visiting this place again.

The place and the friendliness to put our luggage.

When we arrived the sink was super dirty.

The Voltaire metro station and several bus stops are nearby. The neighborhood is lively, full of restaurants, various shops, and at least two grocery stores.

The wifi was poor on the fifth floor.

Central area - well connected - metro stop Voltaire is literally around the corner so logistically it's a good place from where to explore the city. I appreciated the fact that the room was very clean.

Structure could benefit from some renovation, a touch of paint, some new glasses that would make it look more comfortable and welcoming and add a bit of charm.

Good location for Paris, they let us check in early which was helpful. There's a kitchen but was told not allowed to use stove. Just kettle can be use, no cutleries either.

No elevators, the TV doesn't work nor as the microwave. There's leftover food from previous guest in our microwave.

I loved the location and the staff was incredibly friendly

I got bit by some kind of bug, presumably in my sleep, all over my left hand/arm, and right ankle. I noticed it the next day, and I got an allergic reaction to the bug and had to go to the ER when I returned home.

Honestly the staff was SO nice, everything was very clear, there are 5 showers in the building (with toilettes in each, and 4ish separate toilets) and we stayed at peak tourist time and never had to wait to use anything. Everything was clean and some soap was provided. I was SUPER worried about bed bugs bc I saw some reviews on google made 4 months before our stay but we were totally fine! They also let us keep our suitcases there after checkout so we could wander around!! Overall great value for your money and location!!

Our sink didn’t drain but we chose to stay in the room even when offered a new one because it didn’t bother!

    6JohnPosted on: 7-5-2025

There is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the metro station.

I stayed at this hotel in 2018. Got into the same room. Nothing has changed at all in 7 years ))) The only thing was that last time there was an extension cord, this time there wasn't one. Because of which I had to crawl under the table to get to the outlet. The only positive thing I can think of is the working but very slow Wi-Fi. Last time it didn't work at all. Also the price for one night.

    Staff is very friendly.

The room was dirty, the fridge didn't work and the curtains and chair were broken. They should not offer rooms in this condition.

    6MonikaPosted on: 5-30-2025

Great location, not far from the metro at all. Overall good value for money if you're not easily botered by much.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms, shared spaces and room was not great at all.

    5JohnPosted on: 5-20-2025

The location is excellent, within walking distance of a lot of Paris landmarks and neighbourhoods. The staff are friendly. Overall the hotel is very very basic , but good if you are a low-maintenance type person staying for a night or two, at most.

The facilities are lacking. There is no soap in any of the bathrooms, and some have no toilet paper. The showers are not cleaned regularly. The towel I was given had dried chewing gum stuck to it.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, since it was close by to central Paris as well as multiple Metro stations. Since the purpose was to be close by the trainstation, Gare de Lyon, it was really convenient. It was nice with a reception that was open during a longer period and that check out was possible for early morning. Also really nice staff that helped us on arrival and when checking out.

I booked a room for one night, and was frozen the whole night. The bedsheet did not feel clean and the room was filled with spider web and small insects in the ceiling. The room was cold and the floor was uneven. The windows did not close properly and the stairs to get to the room felt unsafe. The shared bathroom was relatively clean, but I did not want to use the shared showers. It was nice that the offered free soap and shower gel, small packs.I would not recommend this hotel unless you are only staying for one night and are not particularly bothered by spider webs and dirt.
