    Pros +

    • The location was great close t o a lot great things to see and do.
    • Location!
    • The staff was pleasant and helpful. When I asked to move to a different room, they made it happen quickly. That room was very nice with a pleasant view to the apartments across the street - flower boxes, etc. The location is excellent. Easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. Grocery store next door, fabulous bakery a block away, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame.

    Cons -

    • Our first room (#12) was barely larger than the small double bed it contained. We couldn't walk around the bed. No room for luggage or anything really. Maybe okay for a single person, but not for two. Unless they both only had back packs. But as I mentioned above, we asked to move and the staff was able to accommodate us. That room was large and had two windows on to the street which was nice.
    • No sink soaps provided, towels were in short supply and clean but not soft
    • Funky at best, tiny bathroom, 12” from toilet to wall, lighting poor, elevator very narrow.

I was warmly welcomed at the reception.Walid was particularly nice and helpful all the way.Great breakfast and as for the location, it's simply wonderful...indeed,it's in the heart of the latin quarter!

The charm and history, beds were so comfortable and room kept clean. Absolutely fantastic location next to the Seine and across from Notre Dam, walk to the Leuove, best cafes and shops in St Germaine...metro....train. No need to rent a car or for the most part, even a taxi or Uber!

No sink soaps provided, towels were in short supply and clean but not soft

Wonderful small hotel in the heart of one of most charming neighborhoods in Paris. Superb staff, decent breakfast, the building full of character. Room was spacious, bed is very comfy, would definitely stay here again.

Elegant and atmospheric hotel. The room was spacious and nice. The receptionist was very friendly and kind. Good breakfast.

The hotel itself feels as if you have stepped into a painting by Van Gogh. My room provided old world charm, with a bathroom that provided modern comforts. The hotel is exceptionally located in the 6th arrondissement (district) which is known as left bank. It’s an easy walk to Notre Dame, to many many restaurants along rue Saint-Michel, rue Saint-Germain… and the historic bookstore “ Shakespeare and Company”…There is a grocery store/wine just around the corner. The front desk/entrance is accessible 24 hours a day.

I have no criticism of the property.

Location, the building- its history, breakfast and the staff- specially Wally who went out of his way to show us how to navigate Paris.

Room was available when we got there. Staff was courteous.

Room in bad genenral shape. The bed was terrible! Could only turn on the heater, if you wanted to cool the room you had to open the window. TV was very small and only one channel in English.

Some behaviour of one of the person of the staff when I asked for a hairdryier.

Interesting historic hotel. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, excellent location and value. Best fresh baked croissants and light breakfast in the morning.

    8TanyaPosted on: 10-5-2025

    Location, breakfast, comfort.

Rooms very dark, shower very small, stairs very steep, elevator extremely small.

    8StephaniePosted on: 9-29-2025

Breakfast was continental type( juice, breads, cheeses, coffee, tea. Great location to visit Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle.

We were on the fifth floor, the lift was tiny and the stairs were spiral and steep. It would have been difficult to carry luggage and navigate the stairs.

    8DavidPosted on: 9-20-2025

Breakfast was great. Initial room was a bit small, but they moved me to a better one and were very accommodating.

A mini fridge would have been so useful in the room.

    8PatriciaPosted on: 8-20-2025

Centrally located. Great breakfast included on the price.

Old rooms, with not so clean carpet and small bathroom.

    9CynthiaPosted on: 8-15-2025

The location was centrally located. A block from metro and close to the main attractions.

The narrow staircase was fine for us but I can see that it can be an issue for larger luggage or people with any mobility issues

    7MichaelPosted on: 7-17-2025

Breakfast was just right. Room was a little small, but clean and bathroom was great.

Elevator was quite small, but acceptable.

    5PriyaPosted on: 7-15-2025

Room was big enough for 3 people and location was good.

Breakfast was not worth waking up to, some croissants and bread, it is better to go eat something outside. Room was big enough, shower is a very tiny space. Airconditioning not that great if you happen to be there on one of the really hot days but I guess hot days are not that common in Paris.
