Le Citizen Hotel

Location was good reasonable close to the train station, room was very small, I thought it would have been a little bigger, but Paris does have small hotel rooms, Staff were great, on the whole it was reasonable for our stay.

Great hotel along the Canal St Martin in a delightful walkable neighborhood. We requested for a nice view and the room provided to us is spacious, clean, modern, and has a wonderful view of the canal. Its enjoyed to sit near the window and watch the world go by. The reception team is friendly and provided recommendations.

The workers were so nice and accommodating. The rooms were incredible. There were so many nice touches to the room. The location was great. Mike’s downstairs had great pizza. Wonderful for our family— highly recommend.

It was honestly great, no complaints.

Unavailable to us because of construction.

No warning about disruptive lobby construction. Weird bed arrangement preventing access to bed sides. No one at desk when we tried to check out. Missing shower mat = danger getting out of slippery shower. Poor Wi-Fi. Nice location though.

Cozy, stylish place with an amazing view of the canal. The room is nice as clean, well decorated. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is great and served at the room!

Not great value for money… The price was a bit steep for such a small room. But (Paris tends to have small rooms)

I liked that it was comfortable, clean, and in a good spot. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had everything I needed without any fuss. It felt easy; no drama, just a nice place to stay.

I didn’t find anything I didn’t like; everything was just right. Comfortable, well-run, and a really pleasant stay overall.

The staff were so kind, helpful and friendly. Breakfast decent. Room a good size; shower excellent. The area around the canal is really lovely. Also only ten/fifteen minutes walk from Gare du Nord, so getting into Paris is easy. And getting into Paris is easy too.

We had one noisy night because of a Paris St Germain match and I was longing for double glazing but the rest of the week was fine.

The location and bed.

Room way smaller than advertised. The 15 sq.m felt like 2x2m at most. Unpleasant odor, strong acidy probably from cleaning detergent. Thin walls. Cold.

It's a really lovely little hotel, the room itself was well-designed, the bed was lovely, the staff were really friendly and helpful and made great coffee into the bargain. It's a really good location, a short walk from Gare Du Nord and in a fun neighbourhood that was perfectly situated for us this trip.

The room had an odd smell which we realised was perhaps from something used to treat or clean the wooden floorboards. We noticed our socks being stained yellow and wiped the floor in different places to check it wasn't a spillage.More irritatingly, the fire alarm went off 3 times in the very early morning and after walking down the steep stairs from the 5th floor holding a baby, it turned out someone had set it off by using their shower. This shower sensitivity either needs communicating to guests or resolving because it made the stay not very restful.

Great location, clean and comfortable

The canal attracts people and makes the area lively. The view out the window is peaceful, it is an excellent area to stay, and is a short walk to many attractions, bas and cafes. The room was small but very well designed and appointed. The staff were very friendly and vey efficient.

Location is absolutely great - we love the canal and the nearby bars and restaurants. The room is lovely as well (although small), and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

The hotel used to have the cosiest little café to eat your breakfast in while watching people passing by outside. Now that café is a pizza place instead of a cafe and you're forced to eat your breakfast literally in bed, because the rooms don't have tables or anything to sit and eat by. Coffee, croissants, orange juice, and yoghurt was all nice, but pretty bare minimum for what I'd call a breakfast.Also; the room was freezing cold when we arrived and when we tried to adjust it nothing happened. That made for an extremely cold first night. Next morning we found out that only the employees can adjust the heating even though there's a panel for it in the room.

Gorgeous comfortable room! The friendliest staff who welcomed me and check in and out was easy!I love the location. It’s not my first visit at the hotel and I’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much for a lovely stay

Size of the rooms - 15sqm for a couple with long haul luggages is very tight

Location on canal is great, great access to parks and shopping.

We stayed here when the hotel was new, furnishing and rooms need to be upgraded, many room lights do not work. Used to have wine and cheese happy hour and breakfast. That’s gone. Canal is festive, hard to sleep on weekends.

Beautiful location, right on the canal. Loads of restaurants and several Metro stations in all directions which made sightseeing very easy The room was large with big windows, great views, lovely big bathroom and very comfy bed. Staff were friendly and hepful.

The location on the canal St Martin. Lots to do and see in the vicinity, but peaceful as well. Very comfortable bed. Great views. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Super bath and shower.

The wi- fi was fluctuating during my stay. This may well be beyond the hotel’s control.The interior decor is nice and Scandi in style but plywood will not last. The breakfast is very minimal and could be expanded perhaps.
