    Pros +

    • Didn't have breakfast couldn't get one
    • It Is practically less than a minute away from Gare du Nord.If you're an interior design student you will find some of the deco really interesting as it represents a poor area of Paris soon after the war. The staircase leading to the room was quite cute.Good insulation and effective windows. No noise whatsoever which made me wonder if I was the only person staying the night....
    • Just 2 minutes walk (or 3 minutes if you are a slow walker) to Gare du Nord to catch Eurostar train or the Metro or a bus. Lots of restaurants with good selection of food all around the area. Easy to catch a taxi / Uber etc.The hotel is old and the reception area looks like they haven’t looked after it for decades :)But room is large, clean and simple with a double bed, tv and a table and chair. Also has a window that can be opened to look at the old school building of Paris and the Gare du Nord station. The staff were very helpful. Remember the French may not smile often but they are helpful :)I would stay again.

    Cons -

    • Had to be in by 1 am or you were locked out un till 8 am weren't allowed to keep a key Had to hand it in in the morning
    • A very tired reception/kitchen/lounge area and too expensive but then the location...My room was like you would picture a naff hostel in Thailand. An old toilet system, a short wait for the hot water to get to the 3rd floor, tiles in disrepair. An old and stained shower curtain with an old and dusty window curtain to match. Very old fashioned bedding sheets with war style blanket
    • Location, location, location. You cannot get any closer to the Gare du Nord train station.

nice owner! old but warm and comfortable.Once we go out early morning, cannot come in til 8am.

no stairs to 3F. but we could manage it.

    Fantastic convenient location

The cafe was rather gloomy (and I think closed), but it didn't actually matter as there are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity, and the room itself was clean and warm.

The location - being just minutes from Gare Nord. It's the most convenient spot to stay.

The bathroom is too small. Getting to the shower is somewhat of an obstacle course. At night the heat from the heater is too hot and there's no way to control the heat. There is no breakfast. But this is a budget place to stay so it's fine for 2 days.

The proximity to Gare du Nord. Lots of restaurants nearby

There was a smell at the lobby

A well located hotel in a vibrant neighborhood. The owners were eager to help with guidance and answer any questions. The room was large, yet cozy and clean.

Great Location and friendliness of staff

External decor and reception was somewhat daunting.

    Cheap and good location

Pretty basic and old fashioned, bed not super comfortable

    7ChandrePosted on: 10-17-2025

Given how inexpensive it was, I was happy. Thed stairs were wide for a French hotel. As aged person I could not carry my suitcase but the hotel people helped me when asked.

It was very close to Gare Du Nord which was perfect for my early train the next day. The lady that gave me my room key was very friendly and helpful

    6MaxwellPosted on: 10-12-2025

The room was clean and the bed was quite good. The bathroom was small but better than many. Despite being in a major train-station neighborhood, it was quiet and comfortable in the room.

The entry lobby seems to be decaying, there is a bad smell, and the owners (very friendly and perfectly helpful) seem to be dealing with matters unrelated to the hotel business, just doing the best they can to make it through. The whole downstairs needs maintenance badly. But the room was fine.

Perfectly adequate, v friendly manager, good location, large room

    Tired decor

For what I needed, a stay near the Gare du Nord, it exceeded my expectations. There was little to no noise from the street, only a bit from fellow hotel people, and it was extremely clean. The room was small but I was really fine with that. I would stay there for longer and even for longer stays.

    Fantastic location, and helpful staff.

We were in and out, for that it was just right. We needed to catch the Eurostar so perfect, lots of cafes around!

    Proximity to Gare Du Nord

Lack of a lift. Had to carry a very heavy suitcase three floors. The management can also provide portable fans in the hot weather.

Located right across the station Gare du nord from where one can find grrat connectivity to reach anywhere in paris, other cities and other countries in neighbourhood. Room was clean with basic facilities. If you are a solo traveller or even a couple looking for short stay or stay near metro that too for less money this is the perfect hotel.P.S. No elevators for rooms on 1st 2nd floors, also no fan or AC in room so wouldn't recommend in peak summers.

Late arrival was not a problem, after a long train journey and a Paris metro strike. The staff I encountered were pleasant. The room, bed and bathroom were clean and none of the bedbugs that have been widely reported in Paris.Perfect location for travellers to/from the Gare du Nord. An excellent cafe restaurant on the corner for breakfast.

The room's decor was tired, dated and not particularly welcoming. I was on the 3rd floor and had to take my suitcase up a narrow stairway, no assistance offered. There were a few carpet moths around originating in the bed blanket. There was no pillow on the bed, just a narrow bolster wrapped in the top of the sheet. I did find a pillow in the wardrobe in the morning, why not on the bed? Travellers be warned, a classic mistake, I locked myself in the ensuite bathroom with no ventilation or windows (on autopilot after a late arrival and not brilliant sleep, wouldn't normally lock it for fear of exactly this.) The lock jammed. Mobile phone outside in room. Tried for ages to unlock without success. How I managed to get rescued (on the 3rd floor, a long way from any staff presence) is a comedy tale too long for here, but please don't lock your bathroom door! The stress at the time was considerable.

The hotel is located between Gare du Nord and Gard de'l Est so it suited my needs. Plus it was not expensive. The room and bathroom were small but very clean and quite..

There is no lift which is mentioned in the description. I was on the second floor which meant negotiating two sets of stairs with bends so bit tricky. The entrance to the hotel is through a disused cafe. First impressions were not high. They offered breakfast but I wouldn't consume anything from the dining area it didn't look clean.
