Hotel De La Herse D'Or

The hotel staff was pleasant. The location is close to tourist spot and accessible to subway.

The outdoor space was odd. It was through a bathroom window. The bathroom is a wet bath that I was not expecting

Was very clean, and comfortable, tha staff were very friendly, as a suggestion we would have liked to have a fridge in the room, there was none, and also to be able to set a warmer temperature in the aircon, seems like it was locked in a set temperature , but apart from that was great. Thank you

Friendly stuff also there to help. Lockers to store your luggage before and after checking in and out free of charge. Which was so handy.

Room was a little small for three people. But we got by. Not a massive issue.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The evening and morning staff were extremely friendly. Our room was comfortable with a good bed and shower. Upon arrival, the man at reception kindly said that he upgraded our room from triple comfort to triple superior if I'm not mistaken.We also appreciated the luggage storage service after check out, which allowed us to leave our bags safely and pick them up before departing Paris.The location is excellent, very close to Metro Bastille (M1) exit 7.And many selections of restaurants nearby.

Our window faced the back/middle of the building but this was not a problem for our short stay.

I was not there, i booked it for family, I'm told that the lady from Argentina was very kind and helpful.

That when making the booking on booking it wasn't clear after giving my card details via Booking that I had to actually pay via the hotel's payment portal. However their system was good quality and efficient but there was some confusion. I didn't get charged twice but would have been better without a double process.

The location was great, close to metro and lots of restaurants & stores. The hotel offered breakfast for 15 euros per person. This was more than adequate & great value. Breads, cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese with juice, tea & coffee. There is luggage storage & an elevator.

The room we stayed was quite small. Difficult to arrange with 2 pieces of luggage. This is common in Paris & we did make it work but it’s definitely something to be aware of. The bathroom also is very small. There is a shower but it shouldn’t be used as traditional stand up shower, it’s more of a handle held set up as there is no shower door. This may be an issue for anyone with limited movement or large build.

The staff were fab and the rooms were simple but comfortable. My son’s room in 62 on the top floor had a lovely view out onto the church opposite.

I needed to run the shower for three minutes in order to get the water hot enough. However, that was my only complaint. The hotel was fab.

The location is perfect and the staff were very kind. There was no place for our luggage and we arrived early so they cleaned the room for us so we could get in faster and put our luggage in.

Good Location , good hospitality, good staff, neat and clean

The hotel is perfectly situated about a 5 minute walk from Bastille station making it so easy and convenient to travel in and around the city. When I first arrived I was very early for check in and had just planned to explore the neighbourhood while I waited but the receptionist that checked me in was absolutely incredible and was able to have my room arranged for me. She was absolutely the highlight of my stay. So welcoming and friendly, we had a wonderful conversation and she offered many helpful and local tips. I would stay again just for her hospitality.

On the other hand, the other receptionist that was there about two days into my stay was not friendly, not welcoming, and couldn’t be bothered to offer even a simple bonjour when we crossed paths; I found this very rude and off putting. Additionally, when I went to check out there was a bit of a miscommunication regarding the lockers in the lobby and the man who checked me out was incredibly rude and unnecessarily obsessed with reminding me that he had been looking for the bracelet for that locker and we were not supposed to hang on to them when not in use, this was not communicated to me initially and was never my intention to hang onto the bracelet if not needed. Alternatively, rather than repeatedly blaming me for the situation, if he had been so concerned about this locker, a conversation with the rest of the staff at the hotel likely would have sufficed to solve the issue rather than making me feel uncomfortable and at fault. He was rude, unwelcoming, and could not even ask me how my stay was, if there was anything he could do for me or anything I needed, or even thank me for my stay. For this reason, I would not likely recommend this hotel because as a paying client customer service is everything and I don’t need to be treated poorly when visiting from another country and paying to stay at this accommodation. The way I was treated upon check out was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.

Location was good for our needs. Room was clean.

Room was small. Bathroom was VERY small. Unable to turn around with door closed. Legs go under sink while on toilet. Manager was yelling at someone on the phone when we arrived.

The location was perfect for us, and it was great value.

The bathroom was tiny but manageable fpr a couple of nights. Could also benefit from somewhere to hang damp towels.

The breakfast is a terrible value. I don’t realize it wasn’t included. I’d prefer to have went across the street and not have a packaged pastry and coffee for 21 euros

The location is excellent, very close to the metro station in the neighborhood with good restaurants and shops. The room is spacious and comfortable. There is no carpet or underfloor thermal isolation and in the winter it is a bit cold.

The shower is not fully enclosed and the bathroom gets completely wet after showering. The room we booked showed the shower stall completely enclosed, but the room we were given was different from the photos on booking.com

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they communicated well in English. The hotel has an elevator and provides lockers where you can store your belongings before check-in. Their wi-fi is very reliable. Its location is safe and very accessible to transport, especially the Metroo and attractions. I highly recommend the place for a couple or family

The location is great but the room was disappointing.

The furniture was damaged and not in excellent condition. We had chosen the hotel because of the location and had to leave after one night because we were so disappointed about the room. I was with my wife and daughter and we were given a room with handicap facilities. Hence, there was no shower cubicle in the bathroom and after one shower all the tiles were wet and it was quite uncomfortable to access it thereafter. The receptionist who checked me in was not welcoming and as soon as I highlighted my issues (20 minutes after the check in) he said that it was too late. They could have anticipated the problem by assigning a more comfortable bathroom for three people. Not my fault. It was only a 2 night stay and it was very disruptive for us to change hotel. Also, due to the last minute change we had to change area which impacted negatively our stay. On a positive note (otherwise I would have rated the hotel more negatively), the owner replied to my comments in a timely manner and offered to refund the second night (although it was non refundable). Also, the receptionist in the morning was empathetic and accommodating. Still, they could provided a discount on the first night as well to compensate the negative experience.
