Pros +
- Nothing, it was terrible.
- Check-in process was simple, very friendly staff. They helped me in getting directions aswell. Hotel is very close to the train station which has acesss to the Subway and long distance trains
- It near to everything. The staff are very nice and very helpfull.
Cons -
- The AC didn?t work. The room was 90 degrees. The hotel staff did nothing to help me. I asked for a pillow 3 times and no one gave me one. The hotel is also difficult to find on google maps.
- The lift is in the middle of the stairs. If you has heavy baggage it will be a problem. And the stairs are so narrow. If you have vertigo better be carefull. And it was totally noisy at night mostly the ventilation i can’t sleep at all and loud bang. And the worst part i can hear a loud noise people walking like elephants on the stairs starting at 5 am onward.
- Having no breakfast or dinner at the location

The staff, the cleanliness, and the location
Having no breakfast or dinner at the location
Very close to the transit.
The area is very busy and the elevator was between floors so you had to take to the stairs to get to the rooms and with luggage that was a strain.
Modern, bright and friendly. Very close to Gare de LyonGreat breakfast with some lovely healthy options like green juice and interesting organic teas.
Rooms are small - but this is Paris !!
Our room was well equipped and relatively quiet given the location. Decor and fittings were in good condition. An easy walk to the station. Numerous possibilities nearby for an evening meal.
The big negative for this hotel is access. There is a lift, but to reach the “ground floor” you need to haul your luggage up a curving flight of 8-10 stairs. And when you exit the lift you are confronted by a very small standing space, before going up or down as necessary; the lift accesses are effectively between floors and stairs cannot be avoided. Not recommended for the older traveller or anyone with serious mobility issues.
Warm, friendly reception & location.
A bit noisy when the cleaners were busy but not too bad.
Room size, comfortable bed, nice linen, gentle staff.
It was my second time staying at this hotel and I felt very safe. The room was big, clean and staff was wonderful.
This hotel has a perfect location for people wanting to both explore Paris and be next to the train station. Despite facing a consequent road, the rooms are very quiet (with double windows to help that). The rooms are very clean and spacious, with a "comics" and colorful decoration. We had a lovely stay there.
The shower is a little bit small, and there is no elevator until you get to the first floor. However, these are very minor point, and concerning the elevator, the hotel staff will bring them to your room if you cannot.
Perfect position. Easy to walk to Notre Dame. Easy for Gare de Lyon.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean and stylish, near Gare de Lyon station. The check-in and out times were refreshing compared to other hotels.
There was no kettle. They had a daft Nespresso, machine, awkwardly positioned up high.. I found it contradictory that they have these machines in all the rooms yet were promoting environmental causes like growing trees. I stayed 3 nights and only got this to work once. On the last day I wasn't even left a pod in the room.. This is a poor replacement for a kettle. The room had no chair or any room to sit.
Accessible to Station and Metro
Shower walls a bit mouldy.
The hotel is very clean. The staffs were really friendly. They provide cake, fruits and hot drinks (coffee, tea, cappuccino, etc) for free. As others said the elevator doesn’t go right on the room floor, you have to go up 3 stairs. It was not all a problem for us. The location is also very convenient, near the subway.
The men at the front desk were polite, welcoming and very helpful.
Nothing. It was great!
I just needed a room for one night near Gare de Lyon. Location was convenient and for the price, this small boutique hotel is amazing!! Yes the room and bathroom were small, but both were fine for the amount of time I was in the room. Note that I was one person, however. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and cutely decorated. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. When I missed the morning fruit, they went back to the kitchen and retrieved an apple for me while I was checking out. There is free coffee, tea, and snacks in the lobby.
Nothing - it was great! Highly recommend.
Property was very close to the train station. It was a cute place to stay! A little bit tight in both the room and the bathroom but manageable.
We tried to use the tv but weren’t able to get English subtitles. When we asked the receptionist on duty he came up to look at it. He turned off the subtitles and told us that they did not have English subtitles unless it was a show originally produced in English. We tried to watch Pirates of the Caribbean that night and it wouldn’t display any subtitles with them turned on. We also tried to ask about screen mirroring and he switched the tv to the instructions that we had tried before and told us to do those. Overall we weren’t upset about the tv, more the treatment we received when we tried to ask for help. We had tried to fix the problem before getting staff involved and felt belittled when we did ask for help.
I was originally traveling alone and searched for a hotel near tne Gare du Lyons that was recommended for women traveling alone. This Hotel was the top recommendation for women traveling solo.It is totally warm, welcoming, intimate and a 100% recommendation for any women looking for a cosy and safe place in this area. Board games, a selection of books, free teas and coffee, cake and a bowl of fruit-so generous!
Both rooms had all the facilities required, room size was adequate, location is ideal for Gare de Lyon and sightseeing around Paris, staff were helpful and facilities in the hotel plus Breakfast was good. This is an old hotel so the noise installation is not great inside the hotel but OK and you can open the windows for fresh air, which is a bonus.
Generally nothing to comment on - the only noted negatives (for awareness but not major concerns) was that the front desk staff sometimes made you wait around before responding even when they didnt have other people to attend too (which is not unique), however the lifts are unique (located half way up between floors on the stairs) and lobby is small and busy and appeared to also be used by staff for office functions (which may reflect the age of the building and size of the hotel).
