Pros +
- The decor was quaint and bohemian
- The style, the look, the staff, the location, everything was wonderful! Especially the small touches like the coffee and tea, sweets and even bringing our bags up to our room while we were away visiting Paris. We are so happy to have stayed here.
- The property had character, very clean, staff very nice and a great location near the metro. Cecile (spelling?) helpful giving good advice on the area, ie. the park nearby was very beautiful. Surprised the rooms were very quiet even though it was a lively outdoor scene outside. Would stay here again!
Cons -
- Could not get sink to drain, staff was unable to fix. The shower would not get hot. Luke warm at best. Sits over 3 late-night cafés. Hangers were not functional as there was no way to remove the from the awkwardly placed hanging rod. Unsafe neighborhood
- The shower door is glass so if you are sharing with someone, just be aware of this. It was not a problem for us but for others it could be.
- The shower had no privacy, just a clear glass. Not used to this. Otherwise it was great!

I did not partake of the breakfast, but it was handy to have a bar in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and multilingual. And it was very close to the metro station, with lots of great bistros close by.
The room was rather small, and had no desk to work at. (But I was able to work in the lobby.) Other than that, it was excellent.
The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated with a mix of old and new . The refresh manages to maintain the decor of the babel theme . And it feels nicely and carefully appointed to feel authentic .
The room we had was snug - very comfortable and what can you say - it’s Paris - loved they way the space worked despite its size
Very cozy and unique rooms. The staff all spoke English and were very kind. Also very close to the train easy to get around.
We’ve stayed here many times and would not hesitate to return. It’s so close to the metro, the beds are super comfy, and the food at the restaurant downstairs is really good. The staff are really nice as well. We love the cozy breakfast area. There is an elevator. The soap smells soooo good.
I’ve stayed here 5 times over the past 3 years and do feel there has been a SLIGHT decline in attention to detail, though it wouldn’t stop me from staying here again. The breakfast croissants used to be a bit better, I preferred the old green chia pudding with cooked pears rather than the new pudding with melon, and I used to look forward to the French style (creamy, custard-like) scrambled eggs at breakfast. They’ve been a bit overcooked during recent stays. The staff also used to light HEAVENLY scented candles in the lobby which is a small detail but was noticed and appreciated! They also used to have a cat; I learned he passed away or ran off, and this is obviously not the fault of the hotel but he was a nice addition :)But as I said, I’m nitpicking. Great hotel overall. Looking forward to coming back!
Always like coming to this hotel. Convenient location and comfortable beds.
The breakfast isn’t as good as it used to be
Cute esthetic
The rooms are very small and there is not a lot of space to put your things. The sinks are very tiny. The aircon wasn’t working in our room and it was quite hot every night during our stay. The staff was friendly about this issue but couldn’t really help us in any way. The manager moved us to a different room with the same problem and then wasn’t helpful at all after that. The hotel seemed to be having other electrical problems because we were not the only gusts with that issue. There was not alternative solutions, no fans were available and we didn’t see anything handymen around the building. The manager wasn’t inclined to help us again. The hotel is outside of 3 restaurant bars so it’s also very loud at night.
Well located; convenient to grocery, bakery, and metroUniqueness (quaint French decor) Helpful staff in an emergency booking
A little smaller space than expectedNo refrigerator
I liked the aesthetics, it was very cosy. Loved the elevator :) The breakfast would have been good if the eggs and sausages hadn't been cold (that was both days).
We almost didn't get any sleep because the bed was so small and the mattress was exceptionally hard. It was a really bad experience. The breakfast would have been good if the eggs and sausages hadn't been cold (that was both days). It seems like it's a new hotel and they miss a lot of the basic things that is required for hotel guests which is a shame because the place is really nice and cosy.
I adore this place - location, staff, design. The whole thing has a great vibe.
AC in my first room didn't work, but they moved me, and I know sent someone to fix it.
It is conveniently located to public transport like the underground station Belleville but the area has nothing in particular going for it besides Asian restaurants and supermarkets. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the pillows were not. Unfortunately, the shower did not drain properly so water overflowed directly into the room. We reported this immediately but it was not fixed within the same evening nor was our room cleaned up or new towels provided. Given we were only staying one night, we had to spend our only night there walking around a wet floor. The staff was polite enough but did not offer any compensation or explanation beyond a tepid apology. Otherwise the room was clean and the interior design was tasteful. Shame about the rest of the issues though.
Very nice stay, great location and good value for money. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The only bad thing to mention was that the room had a very strong scent that was a bit too overpowering.Otherwise really recommend the hotel, it is very unique and has all the necessities.
It's great if you're into culture, really comes alive at night, buzzing atmosphere. We were gutted there was no restaurant like it said, they didn't tell us until we got there, so they need to fix their ads. But hey, there are two fab places just across the road.Even though the hotel didn't meet our expectations due to the restaurant, we would definitely return.
The room was lovely, if small and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The quality of the styling was also quite lovely.
Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were not open during our stay which was a great disappointment. We had opted for a hotel and not an Airbnb because we really wanted the option of meals and a bar at our base and as we were staying over a Monday night many local restaurants were closed. I think it would have been reasonable to have been told this before arrival. The beautiful pictures of the hotel clearly show a functioning restaurant and bar with a busy atmosphere and delicious menu.
Staff was attentive, friendly. Nicely decorated and good vibe. Breakfast was also really good and worth the money.
Our room felt quite humid sometimes, and the AC was a bit wonky.
The team was very friendly and accommodating. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The décor of the hotel is beautifully thought out and you can really see the love behind every choice. My room was a decent size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was incredible (especially the shower). I would love to stay here again.
One thing I was disappointed with was that the restaurant and bar that was listed prior to my stay was not in use. I would have love to try it out as the photos and videos on their social media pages and here look amazing. Hope this changes soon.
The room was small but the facilities were great. Loved the attention for detail, the speaker and all the bath products. The room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty.
Breakfast was not fully stocked at my time; and I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for dinner as it was one of the reasons I had booked the hotel. Nevertheless the staff made alternative recommendations. I would prefer the restaurant suggestions to be a little more selective based on their experience.
Amazing looking style of hotel with great breakfast and lovely staff. Always gave us lemonade and water.
The room is way too tiny. Can't even open a regular suitcase in there or you couldn't walk. Probably 50 cm on both sides of the bed almost. Not exaggerating. TSmall bed too. For the purpose of accommodation not satisfying.
