Hotel De Varenne

The location was fantastic. Just blocks from les Invalides in the heart of the fashion district, the neighborhood was amazing. THe room was classic Parisian, roomy, clean, had all the necessities and then some. THe front desk folks could not be more warm or welcoming and helpful and breakfast was delicious

The key system used for the room was a bit clunky and antiquated. Not sure why electronic locks wouldn't be used but at least a better door lock that wasn't so difficult to open.

great staff- friendly and they let me enjoy speaking French with them! Very accommodating when we arrived early and needed our rooms. Tres agreable. Nice breakfast and pleasant quiet atmosphere Je retournerais bien sur!

How quiet hotel is yet street has Patisserie, produce market, small grocery store, pharmacy and corner biestro. Also, just steps from Invalids and Musee Rodin.

Limited restaurants in immediate area however walking 12-15 minutes is all you need to find dining

Some nights it did get alittle warm but we just opened the window. That’s it!

I liked everything except for they didn’t offer breakfast and they were not attentive at all and for $400 I think you can do better in Paris honestly

A little far from metro station

The location was excellent in the 7th. The very pretty courtyard was secluded and so pretty with the many plants surrounding you. The sweet waitress remembered I liked hot chocolate every morning with our delicious breakfast! The staff was so attentive and so helpful in arranging taxis and answering questions. Bringing me tea to my room when I was sick with food poisoning and arranging for extra help and showing the doctor my room was so appreciated. The decor in the room was very pretty and our view of the Eiffel Tower from our windows was unexpected and pretty special! Very clean and sanitary and so appreciated having air conditioning during the heat wave in Paris. LOVED the hotel!

The AC was central controlled, and I was not able to adjust temperature myself.

The room was quite large and quiet. We are walkers and the hotel was convenient to many attractions on foot and via the metro. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and attentive.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of May and the air conditioning is not working until June they say. You should keep the windows open. The room was on the fourth floor so for us it was not a problem, but in the early morning there was a lot of noise and the pollution was brutal. Otherwise it was very hot during the night. This was very inconvenient for us.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were lovely and can provide lots of local tips and recommendations. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We would happily stay here again!

The location put us close to Paris’ many most notable attractions and was also not in the middle of the busiest locations.

We were traveling with bikes to continue on a bike tour after our stay, and made excellent use of them during our stay to get around Paris. The hotel was not a good choice for traveling with bikes as they had no tolerance for such things on the property.

Great location away from crowds in what felt more like a local neighborhood while still being easily accessible to the tourist spots. It was very close to the Invalides and Rodin Museum, making them very easy to visit, and a short walk to Musee d'Orsay and the Eiffel Tower. Staff was very helpful and friendly, room was clean, and they accommodated us with a crib for our baby which was very helpful.

All Staff were excellent. All very friendly and knowledgeable. Appreciated that hotel was in a quiet area. Rooms clean and well kept. Comfortable bed.

The included Continental breakfast was pretty poor. Coffee was only fair and pastries were not great. No really lobby area to relax. Could not bring outside food into courtyard area.

On the second day of stay, the room was not cleaned despite I held the 'please clean the room' tag on the doorknob. The windows were opened yet everything was in a mess. The concierge staff indeed helped me to deliver some new towels though. The wifi in the room was very weak and the connection was always lost.
