Hotel Garance

Great location near restaurants and boulangeries, about 5 minutes walking distance from Les Gobelins metro station. Polite and corteous staff, special shout out to Tomas who speaks both English and Spanish, communication throughout my stay was excellent.

The front desk staff is incredible. The location is perfect as you car close to the city and to the Metro but away from all the hustle and bustle of Paris City Centrr.

The staff is Exceptional!!!! Very friendly, transparent, knowledgeable of Paris and surrounding areas. I will definitely stay at this hotel again????. It was definitely an experience!

Very friendly and attentive staff, clean room (no smaller than most Paris hotel rooms), location near the sights but neighborhood didn't feel touristy.

Internet worked in the lobby but not from the router on my floor. Apparently it works on some devices but not newer model Apple products. More of a minor annoyance and didn't detract from a pleasant experience otherwise.

Unusually big room for a hotel of this kind in Paris in a nice building, perfect location and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and very clean

Room: super smallLocation: close to a few metro stations and bus stops, but still a long way to go to major tourist areas such as Eiffel Tower etc.Wifi: THE WORST ever, never able to connect it on my phone, can only get weak wifi on my computer, had to spend extra on dataBathroom: THE WORST ever. There's some problem with the design of the bathroom, and when taking a shower, the water could go directly out of the bathroom. On my first night, the entire room got flooded (and a lot my personal belongings got wet). I appreciate the staff for handling it right upon my request, but I would rather hope this never happened. The towel is also not clean. And in the rest of my stay, I had to take shower very carefully to keep the water inside the bathroom. On my second last night they also forgot to change new towels for me.

Comfortable bed!! Lovely staff!! Great location near the Metro and directly on the line from the Gare du Est. Easy to get around.

Amenities are old. You can hear through the walls and people were not considerate in their level of noise making.

The location was good, a metro stop just a hundred meters away. It’s also near restaurants that were open later which was nice. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The heat worked well, there was a closet, and it was generally comfortable. Perfect place just for a hot shower and sleep. The breakfast was good as well.

The walls, like the pictures, are gray, but this is throughout. Therefore it’s quite dark and the color scheme doesn’t do it any favors. Just changing the paint color would make such a difference. Personally, the mattress in my room needs to be changed out as the whole middle had a dip. However, still comfortable- I made do, and the blanket was excellent. The shower holder was broken so while inconvenient, the shower was still hot. The bathroom itself can you a nice maintenance worthy steam clean on the walls. However, it wasn’t anything awful at all and it’s a good stay.

Location. Short walk to the 7 metro. Easy ride to most major attractions.

Wifi was non-existent. If you rely on wifi fir trip planning, purchasing tickets or for work, forget this hotel. We stayed in 39 places throughout Europe this trip and this was the absolute worst. 2025 in Paris no excuse for this poor level of WiFi.

Staff was very friendly and helped to keep my luggage safely with them as I reached much before the check in time. Location is very good, right next to a metro. Room size is very small but clean.

Good location, overall clean, but the room was super noisy at it was next to the breakfast room. Woke up every day around 5-6 am as the staff was preparing the breakfast. Also, Staff super noisy at night, making phone calls until 1-2am.

Room was clean always got clean towels bed was comfy room was a lil warm although it had central AC. The location of the hotel was the highlight close to everything. Breakfast was really good for the days we did take.

There was no WI-FI connection for all four days( and my room was on the second floor). Breakfast was very mediocre ( don’t buy breakfast option)

Loved the location and staff is wonderful. Quiet and easy access to metro & buses.

I think a few cleaner details to bathroom, peeling pain and mildew in the rooms. Wear and tear is expected but easy to keep up and that is the only thing I would really suggest.

The staff was nice, bed was comfortable, shower had a door and shower head was taller rather than low. Location was great

The elevator was so small that only my bags and self fit. Anyone 6ft tall might hit their head. Room was pretty small for luggage or walking space. Would not fit a luggage rack if it had one. Closet would fit a few small items with a curtain. First day, the TV was not working but they replaced it that day. Bathroom looked like it was being worked on(ceiling looked like peeling paint/patching needed. Toilet was so close to the wall on right that it was hard to wipe! One day the concierge came up and said plumber needed to check for a leak on the 2nd floor(I was on the 3rd)… supposedly water was everywhere down there. Lights in bathroom were small and only 2… bedside reading lights did not work. Small desk behind desk was only flat surface.

The hotel is located in a nice area away from the congested tourist area, but about a 7 min walk from the latin quarter which has some shops, restaurants, small convenience store, coffee shops, laundromat etc... it's located near a metro station. The hotel is small, a bit dated, but the receiptionist mentioned over the years they're going to renovate. It didn't bother me, the rooms were nice, small yes but I was out most of the time. Beds comfortable, pillow, air conditioner works great, a elevator (lift) also but small, and shower were good. All receiptionist were friendly and was always greeted with a bonjour. I would stay here again. The area was peaceful and quiet.

Not much to say it was a good experience. But of course everyone is different and has their opinions of what they like and don't like.

Gross Stained Sheets - do not book

The bed sheets were extremely soiled and stained, so much so that we could not stay there with many large stains under the covers. They did not have any ability to change the sheets and wouldn't change our room. The owner promised a full refund but said had to go through booking.com, now many days later is unresponsive to booking.com and neither the owner or booking.com has refunded us the price. Terrible experience all around and we had to book another more expensive hotel on short notice to avoid having to sleep there. Almost $300 down the drain and hours of hassle and customer service going nowhere.
