Hôtel D'Alsace

Very comfortable room/bed, and quiet too. One could eat/drink as much as one wanted at breakfast. The location is very handy for La Gare de l'Est and La Gare du Nord, and the interesting Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis. Tea/coffee-making facilities in the room.

These are very minor complaints! It took me a while to work out which tap in the bathroom sink was for hot water as the hot water tap needed to run a while before it produced hot water. Also, I couldn't work out if it were possible to close the sink to fill it, so the water just kept running out. There was a metal cover over the drainage hole but I couldn't lower it to act as a plug. (I prefer to shave over a basin of hot water.)

Clean no frills hotel in good location for Metro and Railway stations. Working lift to the 5th floor short stairs to 6th floor. Daily room service.For me, ideal would stay again.

Good transit point when you need to catch Eurostar.Not a bad neighbour, close to bars and restaurants.

I just don’t particularly like Paris.

Even by Parisian standards this place is tiny! Just about room for 1 person and their (minimal) luggage in the creaky lift. Tiny rooms with very narrow corridors to the loo.

Location because we only stayed for one night and need to be close to Gare de l’Est and Gare Du Nord. Smooth checked in and checked out. Friendly reception.

It was generally comfortable.

The rooms and bathrooms were a bit poky but this was to be expected in Paris. There was only one big towel for a double room and 2 towels for a triple room, which was a bit bizarre.

Conveniently located near train station, bakery, and store. Very clean hotel and helpful staff. Air conditioning helpful during summer visit.

This hotel exceeded our expectations when our daughter was stuck in Paris due to Snow on Monday night combined with a late Eurostar and local transport cancelled. We needed somewhere decent, safe, close to the station and not too expensive so booked a single room half an hour before she arrived. She actually had two double beds, fabulous reception after a long day travelling and I think we will now use when we stay overnight in Paris.

It's great location for lot of amenities, metro and train.

Too much noise from outside can be heard in. Maybe the price is a bit high for the confined space.

Good size room, in a easily accessible part of Paris.Helpful staff, they were happy for us to leave the bags on our check out day so we could continue sight seeing round Paris. Clean room. Recommend for others.

I am so thankful we found this charming hotel right across from the train station at such a great price!

It was quite, clean and comfortable for any purpose. Honestly I would continue to patronize it whenever I visit Paris again.

First, the location is superb right in the middle of the main town of Paris. Secondly the structure or architecture of the hotel is unique and the interior deco too.

Location was spot on. Set within walking distance to much of what we needed. Also close to both main train stations. To be honest it was what we expected and needed as we were just passing through to Strasbourg. Staff were nice, breakfast good enough, location excellent and room comfortable.

Nothing that we were not expecting from a 3 star hotel, you have to be realistic.

My review is for people who book cheap and convenient and do not then complain when it is not 5 star.Location is brilliant. Room was clean and comfortable and in good condition.Staff were friendly and helpful.Tons of eating choices in the immediate area.Luggage storage just around the corner if needed. Very easy access from Gare d L'Est.
