    Pros +

    • The breakfast was very nice, and everything was quite clean.
    • I loved the accommodation, big room with private bathroom. Also, the toilets in the lobby were perfect.
    • Clean, close to the metro

    Cons -

    • The room smelled like pee. The door wouldn’t lock properly, the area is bad, we didn’t want to stay and the staff didn’t help us.
    • The water in the shower was completely freezing, and the water turned off every five seconds; it was treacherous. The toilets were in the hall, so you had to leave the room every time you needed to use them. Houskeeping mistakenly took my towel I brought from home, and I was unable to get it back.
    • The shower.

    Clean, close to the metro

The neighborhood is quite sketchy. Far away from everything except Montmartre

I really liked the vibe here so I extended my stay. The reception team felt genuinely down-to-earth—welcoming without that forced over-the-top energy. The first floor has a relaxed atmosphere with a patio where you can sit for breakfast or dinner, and the quiet-zone floors mean you can actually rest when you’re in your room. The whole place is clean, spacious, and conveniently close to the metro, which makes getting around Paris super easy.

Lively location! Pretty quiet, overall great experience!!

The private bathroom was only a shower, which was nice, but was expecting a toilet too.

    10BrigmanPosted on: 9-21-2025

The reception staff were refreshingly authentic—friendly and approachable without being fake or over-the-top. Conversations felt natural and straightforward, which I actually appreciated much more than forced niceties. They struck the perfect balance: helpful and welcoming, but also real. The first floor is chill and you can sit outside and enjoy breakfast or dinner on the patio. The floors are quiet zones so it’s not loud when you’re in your room. The entire property is spacious and clean and it is close to the metro, making it easy to go wherever in Paris.

I liked how close it was to Monmartre and Gare du Nord

I didn't really like the toilet outside of the room and the shower was a bit camping like ...

    9MichellePosted on: 9-17-2025

Breakfast was good, place was clean, luggage storage is complimentary, reception 24 hours.

No toilet in the room, just a shower and sink— not ideal with children. Extremely noisy with no working air conditioner

    7StellamarisPosted on: 8-29-2025

The staff were polite, well mannered and kind especially the kitchen staff. We had a place to keep our suitcases before our check in time.

The room did not have its own toilet and the shared toilets were mostly dirty and stinking . The shower curtain in the bathroom was smelling badly and the room had lots of mosquitoes. We all got bitten by them all over our bodies and it was also hot in the rooms. We even had to rent towel €5 each as the rooms did not come with towels. The WiFi did not work at all, not for a day!

The breakfast, accomodation and staff where great

The area is grim. It's no fault of the hostel but it's surrounded by human excrement in the streets. And I saw 6 different men expose them selves to pee in to a roadside drain. Litter was strewn all over the place. Again the accomodation and staff where excellent but I won't be coming back to here due to the shit hole around it

I did not have breakfast. I loved the location, the easy access and closeness to public transport. The magnificent garden and surrounding greenery were fabulous and most unexpected. I liked the architectural style, the clean, spacious and comfy rooms. I shared with lovely people and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was just a bit surprised that I had to pay to get a towel. I think that to include at least one is a most helpful as it allows one to travel even lighter. I would also have appreciated to find a bit of soap in the rooms, not just in the common bathrooms. But those are minor concerns compared to the overall high quality of the venue.

I liked the multicultural influence of the staff, and everyone was really nice to me while I was practicing my French. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. A good deal for the night.

    4MarenPosted on: 7-12-2025

Bedbugs in my bed. After one night I came away with about 30 bites.

    5KaitlynnPosted on: 6-25-2025

The common area downstairs was lively and vibrant. Made for a fun atmosphere

Most uncomfortable hostel I've stayed in. Beds don't have curtains and are wide open to the entire room. This wouldn't have been a problem had it not been for the bizarre lighting situation, where you have to use your room key to turn the lights on, ALL the lights, even at 4:00am when your roommates come stumbling in. Pillows were awful, and woke up with a couple of bites on my foot and leg. Definitely not enough showers and bathrooms for the amount of people staying the hostel either.

It was a cool place around some sketchy streets but overall good for the price

not around anything that looked touristy

    8BERNADETTEPosted on: 5-18-2025

Very near the metro. Accessible and has a lot of stuff around the area, bear Montmart

The shower heater is too hot and cannot be controlled cos its centralized

    4SidneyPosted on: 5-16-2025

I liked the beds and windows.

We got a private room but there was no toilet in the room, only a sink and shower room. Both sources of water had to constantly be clicked, which made showering not seem like a great option. And the bathrooms in the hall were not clean and smelled. Sketchy area too and didn't want to walk alone.

    7MariaPosted on: 5-14-2025

    Quiet and peaceful.

The location is far from downtown. And pretty dark at night to walk from the metro

    9JosiahPosted on: 5-1-2025

I arrived late, about 1:30am and it was okay. The place is a great value, breakfast is good, facilities were all clean and in order.

Hard to think of anything I didn't like. But I was confused by the fact that the staff did not ask for my Hostelling International membership, or tell me they were charging for it. I tried to show it to him, maybe he had looked me up in their database or something. But typically you have to pay a membership for HI hostels...
