Outstanding location, friendly and helpful staff. Decent value considering the location. Rooms were clean and always good to have a breakfast option at the hotel.

Great location, walking distance to Notre Dame and River Seine. The room is extremely small but quaint.

I stayed 5 nights , but no services room , and I bought city fees when I arrived

Great value location in 5th AAR! Clean rooms, OUTSTANDING helpful staff. It’s a no frills hotel for sure but no complaints for the value. Recommend if you are looking to stay near Notre Dame but not break the budget.

Rooms are small but that’s to be expected in Paris, especially at a non chain hotel. Please consider this when booking.

Location was convenient and hotel staffs were friendly

The room was really small and the centralized AC was too hot at night

Location was terrific. Centrally located near a couple of metro lines and the Rue Moufettard area. Fabulous.

The showers were tragic. The tubs were too small for a bath, and there were no barriers or curtains for the handheld shower. It made for very uncomfortable bathing. The rest of the room was well-worn but clean. Not fancy, but you're not paying fancy prices.

Location, Staff was excellent all of them, but special gentleman that is working at the reception from Macedonia, special greetings to him. ?

    Little bit outdated facilities.

Very clean and tidy…. Staff very cooperative and friendly, except for the receptionist that was there the night I arrived.Comfortable bed and pillows!!Great breakfast!!

Bathroom too small …. bathtub uncomfortable.

    7SusanPosted on: 10-22-2025

Location was very good.Person at reception was pleasant.View was of busy rue Monge, noisy but interesting.Hot water was provided in reception area, but it would not cost the hotel much to provide a few tea bags or a sleeve of instant coffee.

Hotels are expensive in Paris and I accept that. For two people, the room was small, but adequate for our needs. If I wish for more luxury, I need to pay more and look elsewhere, so I think Hôtel des Arènes is fine.

    Rooms are small.

Location in the Latin Quarter just next to Arenes de Lutece and very close to Rue Mouffetard.

The overall quality of the furnishings, the size of the room, the breakfast; the price they charge for what they provide.

Its location is the best aspect about this little hotel. Also all staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a little rundown. The room size was good considering it is Paris, The beds could be more comfortable. however the bathroom was really small. The shower booth was almost impossible to move to take a shower.

    Location

Very small and expensive for 3 people

    7KeithPosted on: 9-25-2025

The hotel was older, but it was clean and had an elevator. There is a really nice restaurant right next door, and the hotel is close to two different metro lines. It is also an easy walk to Notre Dame and other parts of Paris. The staff were very nice and welcoming.

I would have liked to have a coffee/tea set up in the room. The mattress was a bit firm for my taste, but it will likely be a perfect match for others.

Great location near Jardin des Plantes, a park with a roman arena. helpful staff. Altogehter much better than the place I stayed before which was twice as expensive. Even the view was better.

The hotel’s location in the Latin Quarter was excellent—just a short walk from the Pantheon and with a metro station conveniently nearby. Our room was comfortable and reasonably spacious, making for a pleasant stay. On our last day, the staff kindly held our suitcases so we could enjoy one final stroll around the city without any hassle.

My only complaint was the bathroom. Instead of a shower, it featured a bathtub, which posed several safety issues. The curtain was excessively long, making it difficult to bathe comfortably and safely. Getting in and out of the tub felt risky—it was slippery and lacked any secure handholds, which made the experience even more precarious. The oversized curtain only added to the hazard.Aesthetically, the bathroom was also disappointing. The walls had visible access panels or plaques, which detracted from the overall appearance. It felt more functional than welcoming. In short, the bathroom is in serious need of renovation—both for safety and visual appeal.
