Very good location, metro station is minutes from the hotel. Breakfast is simple and was every day the same, but nice and fresh. The staff is nice too.
Less electric plug than needed, no plug at the bed to charge the phone. But OK, we survived. :)
88€ in the center of Paris is crazy. It is simple room and decoration but good enough for that price.
Again for this price there's not much to complain about. Just keep in mind there's no lift so the rooms on the 4 and 5th floor could ve hard for some.Although in the very center of paris, near boulevard it is a safe area but the people you encounter at night on the street can be .. dodgy but that is Paris.Worth using some earplugs as corudor can be noisy in the morning. But the hotel is calm overall and away from boulevard.
Central but quite position
The door lock was not working so we had to sleep with door unlocked. The bed cover had “white spots” and we found a used band aid. The pillow were huge.
Location not far from metro. Restaurant Gros nearby - excellent food, and New Morning jazz club - excellent music.
1. BED BUGS!!! At least 10 bites all over my body. 2. Tiny shower cabin and impossible to open once you've closed it from inside. Small, old and shabby towels whose number is reduced every day. 3. Breakfast is exactly the same every day. 4. While we were sleeping, the bed broke. We managed to fix it for the night, reported it to the receptionist, and he promised it would be fixed by the evening- but no such thing, the bed broke again the moment we sat on it. Another receptionist moved us to another room, but it took quite some time. 5. Location: only Turkish and Arabic food around, as such is the neighbourhood, with only a few exceptions.
Room size was ok for the prize, beds were comfortable
Bathroom was okay but the sink was a bit stinky. There were some old paint stains on some of the blankets.
The facilities in the room were surprisingly new, complete and pleasant, the bed is comfortable, everything worked well, and the staff was helpful
The five-story climb up the staircase was a bit unexpected - travellers with reduced mobility or large suitcases should verify beforehand
Very friendly, spacious with comfortable beds
The staff was extremely nice, especially the person who worked the night shift during our stay. I made the mistake of not making sure they have an elevator because I didn't even consider that a hotel nowadays wouldn't have one. My mom has bad knees and they only had a room on the second floor, so they offered me a full refund or to move to the first floor the next day. We eventually decided to stay because I couldn't find anything else. The rooms are very small so definitely not for anyone looking for luxury, but they're comfortable and clean, and the location is not far from city center.Everything we requested was provided quickly with a smile.
The bathroom in the first room was fine but then we moved to the first floor and the bathroom there was tiny and the toilet seat broken. The street is small but quite loud in the night so we had to close the window and it got warm. Luckily there was a ventilator in the room.
Nothing except its near to gare d est station
The matress was unclean and it stinked horribly that i woke up at 4 am and checked out
The staff are great! The location is perfect! Close to the metro. The hotel is near Julhès Paris (this is an amazing café with a big variety delicious pastry and desserts, nice coffee and wonderful quiches). Every morning we had breakfast there. Also, there was a beautiful cheese shop TAKA & VERMO near our hotel and a gorgeous vegetable and fruit shop Saint Denis Primeurs - PINK LADY.
There was a lot of dust under the beds, it felt like this has not been cleaned for several weeks.
The location was nice. It allowed for a short stroll around a beautiful and vibrant neighborhood, even at night.
This hotel was a nightmare due to a bug infestation. Five of us stayed there and occupied two rooms, and every one of us was bitten by bugs. Upon inspecting the rooms, we found that the bugs were nesting under our beds. The staff moved us to new rooms and provided a compensation of €94, which amounted to less than €19 per person. Given the trauma we experienced during our weekend stay in Paris, we found this compensation insufficient. We were told that additional compensation might be granted, pending approval by “the boss.” After returning home, I contacted the hotel regarding the matter but received no response.
We liked having a fan. The people on the front desk were awesome.
We had no shower door which was difficult and made the bathroom very wet.
Staff was great, helpful and welcoming, location was good, close to the metros, bed was comfy
Really dirty rooms, only thing that felt fresh and cleaned were bed sheets, underequipped rooms and quite bit of noise coming from the outside in the evening and night time
Exceptional Service by Zeno Made Our Stay Truly MemorableOur recent 7-day stay at Hotel Victory Galou in central Paris was a wonderful experience, made truly exceptional thanks to Zeno, the receptionist at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, Zeno impressed us with his professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help at every step.During our stay, we encountered an unexpected situation when our return flight was cancelled, and we needed to extend our accommodation. Despite the hotel being almost fully booked due to high demand, Zeno went above and beyond to ensure that we had a room. His calm and courteous handling of the situation eased our stress significantly and allowed us to enjoy the extra day in Paris without worry. The hotel itself is well-located—right in the heart of Paris and close to a prominent Metro station, which made commuting around the city very convenient for our family. The staff overall were friendly and efficient, but it was Zeno’s personal touch that truly stood out and made our stay memorable. We are sincerely thankful for his support and care, and we wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Victory Galou to anyone visiting Paris—especially for the outstanding service by team members like Zeno.

Very friendly staff, very simple, but clean, functional room. It is a one-star hotel, don't forget, so no elevator. Small bathroom, but shower and everything else worked just fine. Beds are good. Beautiful flowers outside the window, when you open the window to a very quite small side street.
