Right in front of the Trevi Fountain, the Fontana Hotel is housed in a 17th-century building in Rome’s historical center. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city. Wi-Fi throughout is free. Formerly a convent, the Fontana Hotel is a 5-minute walk from Barberini Metro Station on line A, just 2 stops from Termini Train Station. The Pantheon is 1640 feet away. The air-conditioned rooms are uniquely decorated, and feature elegant wooden floors. Each features a flat-screen TV with SKY channels. Some overlook the Trevi Fountain, and some include beamed ceilings. Small private bathrooms includes a hairdryer and toiletries. A varied buffet-style breakfast with sweet produce is served from 07:00 until 10:00, consisting of Italian pastries, fresh fruit, cheese and ham. The RoofTop Lounge, overlooking the fountain, serves classic Italian specialties for aperitif and dinner. The hotel’s multilingual staff can offer information about the local sights.

- The staff were AMAZING! They were more than accommodating and so kind. There is a beautiful rooftop breakfast area that overlooks the Trevi Fountain. The rooms are a bit outdated but that's what makes them perfect for the Italian experience!!

- The shower was very tight and the shower curtain stuck to me while I showered. Certainly not enough to ruin my stay and view of this beautiful hotel.
- Scaffolding in the front does not allow view to the Trevi fountain. They are doing repairs to the front of the building. I was not aware of that.
- Bathroom was marginal, shower doors did not seal, 3+ inch gap top to bottom! Minimal space. Facial and hand linens were like sheet fabric. Not absorbent at all. Shower doors caused floor to flood. No soap dish in shower.
