Designed by Baroque architect Borromini, the Donna Camilla Savelli is a former monastery in Rome's popular Trastevere area. It offers a garden, elegant and sober rooms, and free WiFi throughout. The property dates back to the 17th-century, and features exposed wooden beams on the ceilings and precious stuccoes. Rooms are air-conditioned and offer an LCD TV with satellite channels. The terrace at the Camilla Savelli offers views of the Eternal City. The inner garden is complete with patio. Breakfast is a varied buffet including sweet and savory items, and vegan products. During summer, it is served in the garden. The surroundings of this 4-star hotel include historic buildings, traditional Roman squares, and cobblestone-covered streets. The famous square outside the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere is a 5-minute walk away. The Vatican is a 10-minute walk along the banks of River Tiber. - We loved everything about the hotel. It was beautiful!! The staff was superb! I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Rome. We could walk to everywhere¿..
- Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were jet lagged and wanted to catch the sunrise and the staff opened up the terrace just for us. We also loved the thoughtful courtyard breakfasts - pigeon removal devices were a nice touch. The AC was amazing
- The staff were wonderful, it was so pretty, super clean, and the bed was much more comfortable than I expected in Italy!
Cons -
- No!
- The room was quite small and barely had furniture. Would have been nice to have two chairs to sit in after a long day. We also got lost wandering the halls but that¿s because I have a hippocampus deficiency.
- It was a little difficult to find - the signage is easy to miss.

As first time travellers to Rome, we really enjoyed the location of the hotel. On top of it, the rooms were spacious, staff were courteous and the breakfast was amazing. Thank you to everyone at VOI Donna Camilla hotel for making our trip memorable.
Internet connectivity could have been better, perhaps it was to do with the location of our room.
