Great location and a small but nice breakfast. The hotel also has historical vibes (I like it, my wife doesn't). It's nice small hotel but...
There is one big minus and several small ones that are not very important. The main minus is the temperature in the room. We got a room with a non-working heating/air conditioner and an extra oil electric heater probably 20 years old... but it saved us from starring in Frozen 3: Way to Venice. The walls were ice-cold, and the bathroom temperature was around 15 at best. Maybe that's acceptable for a rented apartment in Italy, but not for a hotel in Venice. The outside temperature was around 0 to −2 at night.Small minuses:- One of the reception staff members was not friendly... A little mix with tiredness , age and passive aggressiveness in a polite way but still... (the other one was nice).- The way to the breakfast area goes through an open space, so if it's raining, you need an umbrella or may get wet.- Some mold, but I think it’s common in Venice.
Location was perfect. Flat terrain to the public boat. 3-min walk.8-min walk to San Marco piazza. Ideal location and quiet at night.
One of the most different hotel where I’ve stayed in my life! As a solo one the room I stayed in was perfect, so cool with such good vibes, the front desks man is so nice and helpful, the bed is so comfy and the look you have from de bedroom is magical! Also the location is PERFECT
This is a very nice hotel. The staff are super friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety and fresh food. Also, you will get a fresh coffee made for you by the staff during breakfast with a proper espresso machine rather than an automatic machine. For transportation to and from the hotel, there is a boat stop literally two minutes walk from the hotel that takes you directly to the airport. We loved our stay and I highly recommend this hotel.
The size of the room is on the smaller side. However, that didn't bother us much. (we got a balcony with our room which was a great addition).
The location was great. The staff very helpful.
The room was worn, door frames chipped and missing paint. The fabric on the walls dingy with loose threads.
Excellent breakfast. Great staff. Good location.
Glass door in the bathroom is quite dangerous. It should be just stocked so it won’t move.
Good location and quaint. Very helpful staff, a private dock for water taxis and nice atmosphere in lobby and terrace.
The bathroom was extremely small and the room really did not get heated well when really cold outside. A chair was broken an screw missing on shower door. The breakfast was not impressive with choices or taste.
Great location, good price, quiet
I know the hotel is rustic, but even though I think some furniture can be updated
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. That said, the staff were very friendly and responsive, which was the only po
The room, especially the bathroom, is extremely small. There was an unpleasant odor in the room, and the beds were narrow and uncomfortable. The furniture is quite outdated.
Our experience at Hotel Bel Sito was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in that warm Venetian charm that you can’t quite put into words. The location is simply breathtaking—nestled beside the beautiful Santa Maria del Giglio church and only steps away from Venice’s most iconic sights. We stepped outside and immediately felt part of the city’s heartbeat. Everything felt close, easy, and wonderfully alive. But what truly set this hotel apart was the staff. Their kindness, smiles, and the genuine care they showed made us feel very welcome. The architecture and atmosphere of the hotel are stunning—classic Venetian details, cozy and elegant rooms, and an authenticity that makes you feel like you're living inside a little piece of history. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.Hotel Bel Sito wasn’t just a place to sleep. It was a part of our journey. For anyone visiting Venice, this is the perfect place—heartfelt, beautiful, and unforgettable.
Friendly stuff, helps us a lot. great breakfast.First room wasn't good, with a musty smell, we asked to change and they were happy to do it. we really like the new room.We also really like the fragrance inside to hotel space
The first Room
Welcoming staff. Comfortable bed.
Shower was very small.
Location & Breakfast
The Hotel was in the middle of renovations and it was not stated during the booking time, so we had a lot of noise at early hours
The Venetian style
Everywhere are mosquitoes ,even thought the windows were closed.
Beautiful, well-maintained, great location
Beds and pillows were a bit uncomfortable for majority of our large group.
The hotel's location was ideal, just a short walk from St. Mark's Square and other attractions in Venice. The water taxi station is only 60 meters from the hotel. The hotel itself is a beautiful Venetian establishment. Our room was lovely, and the hotel staff was wonderful—very helpful, attentive, and accommodating. They served a fantastic European breakfast, which was the best I have had so far. The waiter personally prepared the most delightful coffee, and we loved our morning cappuccinos topped with a heart. We received excellent service from the front desk and concierge staff during our stay.I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Venice, and I will definitely choose to stay there again.
