    Pros +

    • Great location - very central to everything. Great staff at reception too.
    • Staff were all excellent.
    • Staff were wonderful.

    Cons -

    • Elevator only went onto third floor and therefore had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. Room was extremely old - in need of a massive refurb. Bathroom was probably worst bathroom ever been to. No shower curtain - flooded bathroom daily.
    • Room 31 was basically a loft conversion. The shower had no curtain so flooded the bathroom when used. 2 single mattresses together that were also very uncomfortable and in my opinion should be replaced (with a double).
    • The bath/shower was difficult to use, due to the positioning of the shower hose relative to the glass doors.

You need to be very carefull when selecting hotel at venice. This one was pretty good. Heating, hot water, normal bathroom. Breakfast was ok but there is no hot dishes and breakfast room is very very small. Location is very strategic since it is short walk both for rialto and san marco square.

When I arrived there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom.

An absolutely wonderful hotel with the warmest and most welcoming reception ♥️ The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is perfect — close to all the main attractions. We truly loved our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again ♥️

The location and friendly staff were the most positive aspects of our stay at Hotel Scandinavia.

The rooms are very small, the bed was old and lumpy, the floors were inclined(higher on one side and lower on the opposite), we kept stumbling on a folded chair(?!) they had in the room, there were no sockets(i.e: for charging our phones). Also, the shower has no ventilation. So you basically have a 3min timer until you can't breathe anymore. The Booking.com photos are very different/inaccurate from the room we stayed in. This is a very old hotel (old furniture, holes/lumps in the bed, "ghostly" doors, iron key locks, narrow stairs, loud floors).

The Relais Scandinavia was a charming hotel located in an excellent location. The staff was professional and accommodating. I would stay at the hotel again.

I was only there for 1 night. No comment.

Loved the location and the decor of the property.

There was a lot of mosquitoes in and gnats in the room. We couldn’t even open our balcony doors because we were afraid of letting more in so we kept them closed during our stay but bugs kept getting in somehow. And the room was very small. We couldn’t open up our luggage anywhere besides on the bed.

The location was decent, and the staff were absolutely great—very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and definitely a highlight.

The room was quite small, and the beds (and pillows) were uncomfortable (very hard). Unfortunately, the bathroom had a significant leak, which we reported, but it wasn’t addressed during our 3-night stay. The view from the room was also disappointing. Overall, the stay felt a bit overpriced considering the issues we experienced.

Location was close to everything but away from the crowds

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Expected more based on previous reviews

Overall, our experience was great. We did encounter a few minor issues — for instance, someone was smoking in the building, and when we opened the window to air out the room, we discovered a piece of underwear left in the shutters. However, the staff responded quickly and professionally to our concerns, which we truly appreciated.Breakfast was wonderful, and the view along with the peaceful atmosphere of the piazza where the property is located was definitely a highlight of our stay.

    nothing to say.

24 hour front desk. The staff was extremely helpful. Ariana and Sergio helped us with guiding and helpful information.

LOVED the location. Took a private boat to hotel from train station ($110 total for 7 people). Great location in a less touristy area with tons of shopping and restaurants around us. Hotel staff was amazing!

Location was perfect, after all the noise quiet down, there was a saxo player in the plaza, we enjoyed his music and even danced with his songs. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there is one next door. The hotel provides tables outside, and can lend you glasses to enjoy your wine.Staff was super friendly and gave us directions, but we still got lost.. part of being in Venice

The hotel is very clean and confortable, situated in a beautifull square, close to everything, the staff is very kind and helpful.

Overall a good experience staying at Hotel Scandinavia. Very good staff, helpfull and friedly. Good breakfast and the location was very good. The room was quite small but perhaps that it normal in Venice (nothing to compare with since this was our first time).

Excellent location! Close to all important sights and well connected overall. Very kind and helpful staff.Very clean and comfortable room! Highly recommend it! Would choose to stay there again during a next trip to Venice.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Scandinavia! The location is perfect — tucked away in a charming square but still just a short walk from all the main sights. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of Venetian character.A special thank you to Elena at the front desk, who was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to assist with directions and recommendations. Her kindness truly made a difference in our experience.Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice — we’d love to come back!
