Perfect, room extremely clean and comfortable. A few minutes away from the station in a lovely area
Great location. Close to train station and many restaurants. There was a very nice rooftop deck. Room was clean. Facilities were clean.
The room was small with low ceilings. Bathtub was uncomfortable to bathe in.
Our room was recently renovated and looked amazing with a high ceiling — comfortable, very clean, and thoughtfully designed. The charging points even included USB-C ports, which was a convenient touch. The bathroom was excellent, and the rooftop offered a lovely view of the city. The location is great, just a short and easy walk from the train station. Miriam was very pleasant and helpful, taking the time to explain how to get around Venice. Overall, a fantastic stay that we’d highly recommend!
Location was perfect. Central without being loud. The facilities were fantastic. Being able to enjoy breakfast and a coffee in the garden on the edge of a canal was perfect. Rooftop patio and sitting area were also a great place to enjoy the ambiance of the city. Room was comfortable and well appointed.
Breakfast could have been a bit more varied.
We enjoyed the location, easy to reach train station and water buses. Also the walk to St Mark's Square took about 25 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and the price reasonable. Our only issue was no one could help us find English speaking channels on the TV.lol
Good location
Very small room. The second day ‘s breakfast was delayed due to flood in the kitchen. We only ate very little with no drink or coffee. We had to catch the train . But charged full amount .
Everything! Front desk staff was superb and offered excellent dining recommendations. The entire facility was lovely. The room was luxurious, including the bathroom. The bed was most comfortable. There was also a lovely sitting room and rooftop patio, which we enjoyed. Located close to the train station and restaurants so it wasn't a big hassle and crush of people to get anywhere.
Check in is across the courtyard at what seems like another property. That wasn't clear in the Booking check in directions.
Our group found everything about their stay great! Comments included: excellent breakfast; hotel location is really great; recent renovations are top notch.
The property is newly refurbished and the superior double room looking out on to the square and the grand canal was beautiful. Highly recommended! The staff at the reception (which is in the Ca Nigra resort across the square) were very kind and helpful.
No glasses in the room, had to go to reception for these, but minor issue, room was excellent overall.
The hotel had been recently refurbished, in fact I think we might have been the first people to stay in the room.We were upgraded on arrival to a superior room which was a lovely surprise.Spacious room, good view of the grand canal from the front of the hotel, large comfy bed and an excellent bathroom with walk in shower. The staff at sister hotel Ca Nigra resort (over the square) are lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, even making dinner reservations for us at a restaurant we wanted to visit.
We had a little bit of trouble getting the new key cards to work for our room, but any new hotel will have teething problems and the staff were very apologetic and lovely about the whole thing.
We were told that the Ai Due Finali was under renovation as we arrived to check in, so instead we got a room from the sister hotel close by. The room was lovely and the staff was super nice! I would absolutely stay again!
Fanali was being renovated. Was upgraded to her 5 star sister property and was very satisfied.
Ai Due Fanali is closed for renovation so my review is for Ca'Nigra Lagoon Resort. When we arrived we were shocked that the hotel was closed down and there were no information on the door what to do. A homeless person told me where to go :/ I also did not receive an email about this change. Ca'Nigra is overall a better hotel, but as we did not book to stay there we were disappointed. Our room was not as nice as it would have been in the other hotel, however the staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. Also, there is a pretty garden where you can eat the breakfast so that was amazing. The bed was comfortable with 3 pillows. The location is perfect, it was close to the "entrance" of Venice so we did not have to drag our suitcases over the island. Many did and it was painful to watch. The most surprising positive experience is that finally one hotel thought of the women who would like to put on some make up but their eyes aren't so good. The light was good and there was a magnifying mirror.
The aircon is on and no way of turning it off or adjusting, and it is noisy and goes on all night. The shower was not good at all.
We stayed across the courtyard in their sister hotel. Ask for a ground floor room and you'll get access to outdoor space or a canal view!Great value for money in an expensive location
Well located, reasonnable price.
The hotel was a little old and deserve a little renovation.
The location was fantastic.
Let’s begin with mosquitos. There is no air conditioning so you must open the window to get cool air. But there is also no screen in the window so you’ll be eaten alive by the mosquitos at night. There is no coffee service in the room. But then there is no place to put a coffee pot or much of anything. There is water.. for a charge of course. There are also no drawers, no real desk, no chair. (There is a tiny 3 legged stool). The room safe does not work. The window blind is impossible to lower. The drapes don’t cover the window. Good luck trying to sleep in. The shower is disgusting and slippery. There is no sound proofing. The ceiling is the charming old world wooden floor of the room above. If there are people above you, I guarantee you will hear absolutely everything. Everything! Some write about a beautiful rooftop view. Tried that. The door to the roof is either jammed closed or locked. I couldn’t tell.
helpful staff, clean room, canal view at common area & probably other rooms
