Hotel Mezzo Pozzo

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. It was decorated very nicely. It was clean and there was maid service each day. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It had a refrigerator and other conveniences.

The view from the room was into a street alley.

Good location, you can walk from train station if you don’t want to take ferry. Good value for money. Neat and clean. Staff were very polite and responsive. Also we were able to leave our bags after check out which is very helpful.

I loved everything about the hotel I love the boutique style all the stuff was friendly It was easy to negotiate the area I was in I was close to all the attractions It was a very convenient place very accommodating I can't say enough things about it ,it was a highlight to my stay.

Location & staff

This room was so tiny & not a good mattress. There was a smell to the room as well, and I had to use my potpourri spray in order to sleep.Read the fine print before booking. So weird to have a bathroom outside of the bedroom that’s just for you so if you have to get up in the middle of the night, it’s pretty awkward.

the price is affordable for the main island stay. The rooms are big with nice decorations, staff are very friendly

the apartment isn't located in where the check in place is, and it's a bit of a walk to the main boat station. The washroom is way too small, and the shower room can barely fit one person.

Location was amazing, everything was in walking distance. Just a few minutes from water taxi station Ca D’oro stop to get to the train station. Staff was helpful and friendly and available for answering questions on WhatsApp before and during my stay.

Really outdated. Stayed in the attic and the stairs were a lot and steep lol. But they had a luggage storage downstairs, so we did not have to carry our suitcases all the way up, just had to take out a couple of things needed for our short stay. The ladies at the reception were very warm and nice. Located in a good place in venice, easy walk to all the attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was not it. Air conditioner was really good in July.

Cute, off the beaten path hotel, just off of a cute square with great gelato. Beds were comfy, staff was exceptionally nice, and AC was able to keep the room cool despite high outside temps. Overall great experience. I’d stay here again!

A little hard to find at first, but the property manager sent me directions for arrival and a video which was super helpful in navigating!

Great location, charming Venitian room. It was tucked away in a small alley, so just steps away from lots of activity, but quiet for sleeping. Super helpful reception, especially when messaging through Booking.com.

Beds were a little hard. The AC worked well, but without a fan, the room never got quite cool enough for us.

The room had all the necessary amenities (including a mini-fridge) and was quite comfortable and quiet. The staff was incredibly attentive, giving a lot of details to make sure we didn't get lost and knew all the hotel had to offer. It's quite close to Rialto and it's easy to get there from the train station.

The building and room have a bit of a classic/dated look and build, which may not please everyone. The bathroom was outside the room and we had to cross the breakfast room to get there - although to be fair we were warned about it and were completely expecting it.

Convenience location, welcome staff, comfort bedding

Such a beautiful little gem in a perfect location. Manola gave us wonderful directions, including making us aware of a transportation strike. Her suggestion to take the Alilaguna boat Blue Line from the airport and get off at Fondamente Nove stop on the island was incredible and stress free. She was even at the dock to meet us and guide us through the 5 minute walk to the apartment.

Arlyn at the front desk was GREAT! Super kind and very helpful! Very attentive and aimed to please. When we were leaving we asked if she knew the best way to get a water taxi to the Venezia S. Lucia train station. She offered to arrange it for us, confirmed it, and even walked us to meet the taxi so we knew where to go! The taxi picked us up right outside the hotel 2 minutes walking distance. Super convenient and easy! Great location with an even better staff! They are so helpful and accommodating! It was great service and communication! Bed was comfortable, room was clean, it was great!

The lobby is not always attended and you have to go across the street for information.

Located on a quiet side street, this hotel is exactly as advertised. It is very comfortable with excellent mattresses on the beds, the air conditioning works well, they have refillable water bottles in the room that come in very handy. From our top floor room we had views looking out over the lagoon in the direction of Murano.

There are only two downsides. The first is listed in the information, there is no elevator and if your room is on the top floor like ours there are a set of stairs to reach your room that will make you think you are climbing the Himalayas. Second, from time to time the water pressure in the shower drops. I have experienced this in other places in Italy so it may not be the hotel’s fault.

The location was very good

The room was on the third floor, and the hotel didn’t have an elevator. When we arrived, I had to carry two heavy suitcases up more than 70 steps. Every day it was very inconvenient to go up and down so many stairs. The ceiling in the room was also low. Since the room was right under the roof, the head of the bed was positioned at the lowest part. We hit our heads several times.
