The staff was more than helpful and were also very friendly.

The stairs are many and steep. Because of the location of the hotel, we thought we had booked a waterfront room.

they should have disclosed that there is 4 flights of stairs to get to check-in and that there was no lift or help with luggage.

Near everything!!! Perfect view from the hotel of the Grand Canal! Classic Venetian decor, luhvit! Front desk personnel excellent customer service… went out of their way to make sure we were updated with goings-in in Venice at that time that would impact our travel plans and schedules (there was a transport strike at that time). My second time in this hotel I will not look for another one next time I come back to Venice -will make sure I’ll stay here again

The location is unbeatable - we had the most amazing views of the Grand Canal from our room. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful and really went above and beyond to help us. And the breakfast was great and a deal!

There are quite a few stairs to get to the rooms - not a dealbreaker for me but just good to know before you book.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. They went above and beyond to make sure it was special. They put rose petals in the shape of a heart on our bed when we arrived. We got caught in the strike while we were there and the staff made sure we knew how to navigate that day. Super helpful and very friendly.

Due to a knee injury, the stairs were tough, but I knew that going in. I appreciated that they were very upfront about the stairs. We stayed in other locations on this trip that didn't even mention their locations had multiple flights of stairs. So it was refreshing that they went out of their way to make that known.

I was travelling for leisure with my girlfriend. We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The staff was really kind, helpful, and humorous. The location is conveniently near the main attractions of Venice and public transport, making it easy to access city attractions on foot or by transportation. The breakfast was outstanding with a magnificent view of the main channel.

There are no complaints.

Beautiful hotel settings! Lovely grand canal view from your window, right near the water bus station which- you can easily travel buy water bus anywhere in Venice and to and from the airport. I am very thankful for hotel staff Manuela , who was so sweet and extremely helpful!! What a lovely experience! I highly recommend this place!

If you have heavy luggage - it’s not easy since you have to hand carry your luggage to walk upstairs (almost 80 stairs..).

The stair to get to it are very steep, and it’s quite a climb, especially with luggage, so be mindful not to take a big suitcase, that’s the only thing I could “complain” about but I understand it’s an old building.

Location was great. Full shower/bath and breakfast area (reservation only though).

Room door was right in front of the front desk. Noise travels easily, could hear guests checking in etc. Have to give the key back every time you leave and buzz in every time you want to enter. They’re very aware of when you come and go because of this. A lot of steps up to the entrance after you buzz in. Also have to pay the city tax in euros when you check out - no card payment allowed.

Location is great, Easy to reach all close by landmarks. Famous stairs are no problem whatsoever. However, not for people with mobility issues and a lot of luggage I would say. Loved my room. Very clean, gorgeous terrazzo flooring, huge bathroom. Kettle available in room for tea/instant coffee. Reception personnel, available 0-24, kind and helpful. Breakfast room was delight. Just the view alone is worth the stay.Croissant for breakfast. Chef's kiss.

It is a bit tricky to get there from train station. If not using taxi boat, it is best to use vaporetto if carrying luggage.This is due to Venice layout, not hotel issue.During breakfast, you need to ask if you want to have eggs, cheese, cold cuts. It is not clearly stated on the menu what exactly can you ask for (or at least I could not find it).Also, coffee from coffee machine was abomination. Luckily, we're in Italy, so great coffee is always just around the corner.

The view in room one was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything from a steamer to helping with our lost luggage. It was very clean!! Loved having coffee ready by the staff in the morning! Yes, the building is historic but we had comfy beds, great air conditioning, and hot water. Nice location as well. The breakfast was simple- nothing fancy but it was nice to start out with fruit, yogurt, eggs, or a croissant before heading out for the day.

We over packed and they mention the stairs with luggage. The stairs were fine once we got the luggage up and back down. I would stay there again regardless of the stairs.

Loved this property. It’s centrally located in the heart of Venice, just steps away from the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, restaurants, Mercato. Great location to explore all of Venice. My room (#3) was wonderful. Tapestry was nice. Great water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The area is quiet and safe. Reception staffed 24/7.
