Pros +
- The location was exactly 8 minutes by waterbus from Saint Mark's Square, and only 5 minutes from the impressive Armenian Monastery on St. Lazarous Island, where Lord Byron sojourned. The place is very tranquil, quiet, and peaceful.
- Spacious premium room on he first floor in the Libeccio House directly overlooking the laguna. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choices. Bar and restaurant on the island. Very nice park on the island which hosts the lunatic asylum museum and a new convention center.
- The place was beautiful, situated on its own little island. It was well maintained, and clean. The staff were also very nice
Cons -
- The room was dusty, and the halls and stairs were infested with dead bugs. We assume their vacuum cleaner must have been broken. Our room was missing a luggage stand which we got from another room. Be careful at the restaurant, Roba da Matti, which is on the premises but separate from the hotel. For New Year's Eve dinner, they overcharged us twice on the same invoice. The cashier rang us up fast and insisted on tapping the credit card machine. We had to request the invoice/addition because we believed the total was off. He quickly conceded the first mistake gave us cash back. We continued to scroll through the invoice and noticed two other things we had not ordered and not received at the table, were in the invoice. He was not happy about having to give us more money back. Dinner service at the restaurant in the evening is slow. The hotel itself has potential.
- Connections could be better: there are only 1 to 2 waterbus runs to San Marco each hour and the Lido, which is close, is linked directly to San Servolo only once or twice per day (at least in November). This setup worked for me, but might not be for everyone.
- Being on its own little island, was great. But also a pain getting back from the pub at night :)

Being on its own little island, was great. But also a pain getting back from the pub at night :)
It’s located in a pretty island close to San Marcos piazza that’s all, restaurant ( food and staff) it’s the highlight of the property very yummy and they were all extremely nice ( only restaurant )
Facilities were dirty and old, broken door frame, ac wasn’t working properly, minibar was not working, the walls were full of spiders and spider webs and staff didn’t care just offered me to change rooms and they were all worst than the original one, they make you feel that they’re doing you a favor staying there just bad attitude in general
The sea view room that I had was directly over the water with no land in between so I could hear the water lapping up against the building all night long with the window open. Also, I had a perfect view of the sunset.
I did not figure out until I was leaving the room that the temperature control has three positions: middle for OFF, up for heat, and down for air conditioning. And this is why I left the window open and saw the sunset and heard the waves all night long. So it was fortuitous.
Is nothing as the pictures. Breakfast is decent tho
It was terrible, the bed is like sleeping in a piece of cardboard, bathrooms are still like a hospital, very creepy. Fridge didn’t work, you can hear everything. We thought at least the green areas should be cute, no, bad management, no clear indications.
Excellent staff. Great on-island restaurant. Friendly and courteous service. I've stayed here several times and you get great value for your money. Highly recommend. Especially good if you plan on splitting time between central Venice and The Lido
Everything was lovely
Exceptional staff. Front desk. Housekeeping, restaurant - all grade A+ comfortable and clean, more room than most Venice accommodations, on site restaurants exceed expectations. I stay here every time I'm in Venice and it never disappoints..
You'll need to factor in extra travel time with the ferry but that is a good trade for the value of the property
The location, the view is marvelous and very quit.
The bad wifi and internet and they have not cleaned the room with no reason given.
Very nice location on island only 10 mins vaporetto from S Marc. Very calm and green
On Sundays ( at least) breakfast should be available till bit later. At 10h precisely almost everything is removed and hardly had time to eat properly
Unique location, large grounds (whole island)
Basic essentials missing. No hot water in shower by the evening, phone did not work, no clothes iron, no elevator, front desk not very friendly
exceptional location on a calm island
first day was a bit poor breakfast, some of our beds were somewhat squeaky, and when we wanted to open the windows. mosquitoes gave us a quite bites, although i count this as my fault
Great location on island, so not in the touristic centre, but only 7 minutes per boat to Venice San Marco. Room excellent. Silent, (when you have nice neighbours) Window to the sea. Really rich breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Location is perfect and good wifi
I had ants in my room and bed! I told reception but they did not overly care.
The staff didn’t appear to be friendly, didn’t want us to check in early only 15 minutes as we had itineries booked, got there early, they didn’t inform us of anything regarding WIFI, bus times which I asked for, how to contact reception as no phones in rooms, neither watsapp messages, it was very basic we had no milk to make tea no mugs to drink out of, no bin in shower room, the shower is very small not ideal for big people at all, there was no sugar water, coffee or any cutlery to eat off. We had to message them then we were told we get it from the restaurant, it was late we were tired had an early start. Then the sink wasn’t draining properly, we were offered another room at 10.30 pm when we had gone to sleep. Which we didn’t take in the end. I found them quite rude to be truthful
Great place to stay. Same as the conference venue. Has a good restaurant at the island and surprisingly well connected to the other parts of the lagoon
Lovely island. Big room. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast with lots of choice
Restaurant could do with a bar just for drinks and snacks
If you like a comfortable secluded place - this place is for you. Absolutely do not worry about the transportation. Vaporetto is a public bus analogue in Venice, it is reliable and has long operating hours. Therefore you may omit worries of coming to and from the property. Breakfast is hot, cooked and absolutely serves the needs. If you need coffee of a better quality - look around at the university, the vending machine is located on its 1st floor in the lounge. Another (a cheaper) one at the students dorm, also on the 1st floor. You can leave the luggage after the checkout and pick it any time using vaporetto. Walking on the island is enjoyable. Some sculptures add to its overall magic. They cleaned the room every day, which is better than expected. All taps worked properly. The radiator at the bathroom was always hot.
I have nothing to say. They do not provide glasses for making tea or coffee for some unclear reason, but you can borrow one next morning at the restaurant. The tea-making boiler is good, new and of great quality as is everything there. The fridge is also good.
This tiny island, just 2 km from Venice's city center, offers a unique and peaceful escape. It's connected by the No. 20 ferry line, which runs only two ferries per hour, making it feel even more secluded. The island has just one hotel, one campus, one small museum, one restaurant, and one café—all of which share spaces in a charming and quirky way. One moment, you're walking through the hotel, and the next, you find yourself on campus, which adds a fun and unexpected twist to the experience.
The room was comfortable, though the bed and shower were on the smaller side. The island is lush with plants, which adds to its beauty, but also attracts quite a few insects, so beware of the mosquitos—they were relentless during my stay.
