- In a nice quiet area of town, but close to anything you may need. Owner was very kind and friendly. Shared bathroom but never once had another guest in it when I needed to use. Lovely stay especially for the price

Cons -
- Nothing!
- The cleanliness. The room wasn’t in a good condition. It has spider nets and Mosquitoes squashed on the wall. The hand towel had hairs on it.
- An area to have a hot drink and a more comfortable mattress.

Quiet location. We liked being away from the crowds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is an old building which we were informed was occupied by Nuns and a kindergarten. I advise travelling light as the hotel does not have a lift and there are many bridges to cross if walking. The hotel was basic, no coffee or drinks facilities but we were ok with that. Only sachets of shower gel provided.
An area to have a hot drink and a more comfortable mattress.
The staff is nice, but never there and the location was good. Clean
It's a house with old forniture thrown here and there. The blankets are terrible
The location is fantastic. The staff, very accomidating and knowledgeble. Wifi is fast. My expectations were far exceeded.
Everything was excellent.
Staff very nice we arrived quite late and they received us very friendly
Quite some noice during the morning
I really loved the neighborhood. This was my first time in Venice and coming from Rome and Florence I felt like I had chosen too many busy cities for my trip but this hotel is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. Still very much close to many wonderful restaurants and shops. I had so much fun exploring the neighborhoods and was able to still visit the three museums I set out to see.
I chose the shared restroom because I wanted to save a bit. It was very clean and easy to share but for my own comfort I’d probably booked the private bathroom next time.
The location was good easy access to San Marco within 10 minutes. Lots of food & cafes in the area.
That the room had no A/C unit for the individual room itself. No TV .No mini refrigerator. For the money I paid for the room wasn't worth it.
Very nice spot with a little kind of back Yard, very near to the via garibaldi where you can find a lot of Restaurants with very good food. We had a room with shared bathroom. The bed was very comfy, there are towels (which we didn't expect) and there is a sink in the room. The shared bathroom is clean and the shower jas a very good water pressure. We definitly would come back!
The location was great, we liked that it was quiet and a good distance from the busy touristy areas (with lots of restaurants and cafes still nearby). The place has character, but everything was very clean and our room was really cute with big windows that opened onto a courtyard (that all guests have access to). Staff were great, very nice and the check-in/check-out was smooth and easy.
The walls are thin, so it can be a bit loud at night - depending on neighbouring guests.
A cozy and charming hotel with a lovely courtyard, located in a beautiful neighborhoods of Venice. The location was perfect—slightly away from the main tourist spots, which allowed us to enjoy a more peaceful and authentic side of the city. The gentleman at reception was incredibly kind and helpful; his advice truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money—Thank you so much!
I love this hotel. It was in a very quite location away from the madness and crowded Venice streets, but close enough to walk a relatively short distance for the experience. Cafes amd restaurants near by as well as grocery stores. It is an old building and personally I loved its charm. I spend a considerable amount of time in new, modern and more expensive hotels and I am bored to tears with them. This hotel has character and I sometimes felt like I was stepping into an old classic movie. The courtyard was so relaxing, especially when the sun was shining. A great place to sit out and read a book in silence.Valter was a really nice guy. A very genuine and welcoming personality. It was a very warm inyeraction from start to finish, not like the typical scripted and fake interaction you often get in a 5 star hotel. Thank you for our conversations.I will look forward to staying here when I return to Venice again and hope you have a similar experience as I if you choose to stay at Locanda Sant"Anna HotelI wish you safe travels.
Cheap
Rather serious owner, poor location, lack of lift
The hotel is very cosy, clean and comfortable. I felt myself there like at home. Fantastic garden and terrace. Location is quite away from main tourists streets, but there are so many green areas to enjoy sunlight. Now it’s my favourite place in Venice!
Shared bathroom. Sometimes I had to “stay in a line” to get there.
Great staff, easy check in and very warm bedrooms in the winter.
Old-fashioned hotel in a quiet corner of Castello, very peaceful place. The rooms look as if they come from the mid-20th century - they are comfortable, but simple. No lift, so you have to walk up a flight or two of stairs. Pleasant private courtyard and garden in front of hotel. Very helpful staff at reception.
Room seemed overpriced for what it was, but this is Venice and the booking was made at the last minute.
The location was amazing for the purpose of my visit to Venice. I visited specifically for the Biennale Arte, and the hotel is right in between the Giardini & Arsenale - perfect spot!I also want to highlight the staff, who were really amazing. I realised after washing my hair the first morning, that I forgot to bring a hairbrush.. and my hair will look like straw if I can't brush it! With the use of Google translate I was able to explain my issue, and the lovely housekeeper rummaged through her bag to find a brush for me to use until I could go buy my own. Lifesaver!
Very well accommodated, central for the biennale.
My on suite room was right next to the communal bathrooms. The hairdryer was connected to my ventilation and it was extremely loud.
The hotel has total nonna vibes — very clean but also very outdated furnishings in a charming way. It felt safe and comfortable for a solo traveller. There is a beautiful terrasse and it is in a lovely not-so-touristy neighbourhood close to the biennale.
It is quite expensive for what it is, but I suppose that’s just Venice. For a single bed room with a shared bathroom, it was very pricey. The room, while clean, was more utilitarian than comfortable. It was very bare bones and the bed is more a small cot. This level of comfort doesn’t bother me as I don’t need anything luxurious, but the price should be much lower for that sort of thing. Also, I couldn’t find a way to avoid having the daily cleaning service. There is nothing to put on the door to indicate you don’t want it cleaned and when I went to reception to request this the receptionist wasn’t there. So for those of you who prefer the privacy of no room cleanings, make sure to let them know at check in..
