Pros +
- The location is excellent! Very close to everything including some active neighborhoods with life and local feel businesses. The staff was friendly and allowed us to checkin many hours early and got us organized for our couple day visit include tour book
- The property is a part of a 17th century palace and it’s very clean and elegant. It’s very close to the Academia water taxi stand it’s just 23 minutes ride from the station. View of the grand canal and academia bridge is so beautiful. The boats, the gondolas, the water taxis, the seagulls, the little egrets catching fishes all those beautiful scenes from the room.
- Positive +The room had a window with a nice view to the river. The location is amazing, very centric and next to a boat stop.Internet was good.Room and installations were clean. The owners were very nice and friendly.
Cons -
- We had the smallest room in the hotel. This room will suffice for sure, but is tight in the bathroom. We did not spend much time in the room and slept reasonably well.
- Nothing comes to my mind
- Negative -Our room (Room 7) was very very very tiny. The size of the room was like 2 meter wide by 5 meters long and the bed occupied most of the width of the room, you could barely walk inside the room.

Definitely great Location and great View (room 3) at this time and price.
I requested two split bed but it was double. They wanted 2 eur tax by cash. Toilet and shower outside the room (but private)
The location was great very close to everything. To the restaurants, to the water taxi. The owner was very nice, accomodating and very friendly. Will stay again in the future.
I really liked the view. The location is ideal. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The bed is extremely uncomfortable. the sheets aren't or at least don't look very clean. The room has a certain smell. After all it's a one star hotel don't expect much even though it is a bit expensive but that's all for the view and location. Not the services orr the room itself.
The location of the property is perfect for visiting Venice. It is in Dorsoduro which is a less touristy bit of the city and still very close to all the usual tourist places in Venice. The decor of the hotel is very nice and in keeping with the vibe of the city and it was very clean.
The walls of the hotel were very thin and we were able to hear people's conversations not just coming from the corridor but also coming from the rooms... we were even able to hear people snoring! We had to wear ear plugs every night and it didn't give us the feeling that the room was very private.
Location amazing and the room was beautiful. We just wished we could have controlled the heat in our room as we were very cold!
The location was fantastic, and the neighborhood very charming, with easy access to the Zattere and the vaporetto stop at Accademia. My room, with its view of the Grand Canal, was a dream. It was wonderful to be living in the heart of Venice for a few days.
Perfect location nice vintage room pretty good size
Old spring mattress
The location was perfect and the staff very friendly. We had a beautiful period room, with a clean and modern ensuite. Amazing view out over the Grand Canal and Academia Bridge. Very central for exploring on foot to all of the key attractions.
The bed was really far too soft, and as a result flared up and old back injury which is now giving me trouble, despite only staying for two nights. It was formed of a bed made from visible springs with another soft mattress on top.
Staff and location outstanding.
Venice is a beautiful location, old listed buildings. Hotel could introduce double glazing and try to incorporate thicker walls. You can hear each and everyone's noises from other bedrooms.
Location, beds comfy, price of bottled water was reasonable, owner was helpful
Our bathroom was down the hall, walls are thin, no tv was good. No one is at the front desk after 1 pm, no one to help get luggage upstairs after 1.
Location is unbeatable. My room was facing the Accademia Bridge and the Canal Grande, just across form the Ca'Rezzonico and very close to all the major sights. The hotel itself is a gem: it is an old palace, beatiful and impressive, the interior, the furniture remind you of its past
Wonderful place in the heart of Venice, communication is perfect, whether to go by boat or walk around the central part of Venice. Although the breakfast is not included, in the grond floor is a wonderful cafe with a perfect breakfast selection, and we lived in a real Venetian mood. thanks to the very kind hosts!
❤️
The location and access the water bus was great
The toilet is out side the room but private
Location! I had a complementary upgrade with best view of the hotel
1) Bed & Mattress2) Bathroom 3) No breakfast is offered
Excellent location - probably the best you could get. Area was absolutely stunning and a quick walk to San Marco, so you are close but not too close to the busy area. Additionally, hotel rooms were cute and well-decorated. Staff was extremely nice and helpful.
This was communicated to us in the booking.com listing, however, lack of AC was tough. Our room was hotter than outside and opening the windows + using fans only did so much. Would recommend coming if you’re good with heat or if you’re staying outside of peak summer months, because location, staff and vibe were great!
We had the best time in Hotel Galleria. It was exactly what we expected if not a bit more. The owner was so helpful in supporting our next leg of our Venice journey. We were upgraded to Room 10 and it was beautiful. To open the window shutters onto such an iconic view was breathtaking. Lovely Cafes nearby for breakfast and for walking to all the main attractions.
The hotel doesn’t have AC but we knew this before booking and the bed was probably a bit softer than we like but again nothing that would stop us returning.
Location, friendliness, view.
No air conditioning is difficult to deal with
