Rooms here are spacious and air conditioned. They have characteristic features such as four-poster beds or glass chandeliers. Every room has satellite TV, a mini-bar and Wi-Fi access. A buffet breakfast is available each morning at Hotel Antico Doge - a Member of Elizabeth Hotel Group. The bar also serves hot and cold drinks throughout the day. • Location
    • The location is wonderful! The staff is friendly, professional, and very resourceful. The breakfast is exactly what I was looking for. Something simple, but tasty. There is always a nice selection for us to choose from.
    • Location and size of the room.

    Cons -

    • No elevator, poor room layout
    • I had book the room based on the photo provided, and I did not get the room I paid for. It turns out that there are many different "Junior Suites". The photos are deceiving on how big they are, and I would have liked to have known this from the website.
    • Despite having an electric module to control the temperature there no AC in the room. The temp stayed at a consistent temperature the whole stay. Wallpaper was also crumbling off in the bathroom over the shower and vanity area

    Location was very good

Staff could have been more helpful

Location is amazing and buiding too! Staff is very helpful as well. Breakfast was good enough

The smell in teh bathroom was awful, quite noisy outside and thin walls so you can hear neighbors talking or doing other things

Beautiful. Wonderful staff. Great view for breakfast

Slight distance if carrying luggage up/down bridges.

This was our second visit to the hotel. It has an excellent location a bit out of the San Marco scrum, close to the Rialto bridge and excellent restaurants. From the train station, you take the vaporetto to the Ca D’Oro stop and then a 4 minute walk to the hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast and coffee were very good! The staff is friendly and helpful.

There is a flight of stairs from the pavement to the first floor of the hotel, but the staff will help with luggage

Location/staff were excellent/ breakfast very good/ comfortable bed

Maintenance - shower doors were broken but useable, mirror on bracket loose from wall, one of the toilet flushes didn’t work, shower tap surround was loose.

Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with a particularly good shower. Excellent breakfast and a brilliant location.

Short walk to the main attractions but quiet enough at night. The breakfast served was excellent! All the staff was very helpful and telling us good places to eat, how to get to certain locations, and arranging for water taxis. We would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom is a bit small and outdated.

Very clean very friendly staff very welcoming offered to make us breakfast at 03:30am because we was living early in the morning

THe hotel is located at a very centrai point , easy to reach .Staff is friendly.

There was a strong smell in the room ,this was like a smell of clean spray , but after some time you were getting a seperate smell especially from the bathroom which was not nice. I could stay not more then one night . There was a butterfly, moth like fly in the room at the night which we tried to catch in the night .

The hotel and our room were very charming and felt like old world Venice. The location is right in the heart of so many things. Very easy to walk and see all the places in Venice. The free breakfast was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful.

An elevator would have been great, but we when you come to Italy you have to expect stairs!

Fantastic location and friendly staff. Bathroom was fabulous.

Room was quite small for two and the beds and pillows were not overly comfortable.

A genuine medieval Venetian hotel, where necessary combined with modern architecture and furnishings. All the staff were very kind and helpful. We were given a room in the middle of the building (behind the reception) based on our reservation and on seeing it on the spot, we were given another one immediately on request. The hotel and our room were very clean (looking under the bed for stuff to roll under, no dust bunnies there either). All services in the room worked well, including the safe.Breakfast for us was plentiful and varied (cereals, yoghurt, juice, tea, coffee, salami, cheese, butter, jam, scrambled eggs, baked ham, fruit, cakes, pastries). What we ran out of was made up. Due to the size of the "restaurant", there are three options for breakfast. Tables are for two, but can be put together if, for example, a family needs one.The entrance to the hotel opens onto a small canal, and the pavement in front is very busy, but this is not noticeable with the window closed. Not far away (about an 8 minute walk) is the stop for boat line 1 (Vaporetto) and a gondola crossing (Traghetto) on the large canal to the market opposite. Right next to it are good restaurants in the basement of the building next door and within walking distance. At the hotel we were given a small map of Venice, and information on everything we were interested in (where to find what, how to get there, ...).

This is a very charming little hotel a little off the main tourist area, but close enough for you to explore Venice and visit the main tourist sites. Close to the main canals for transportation around the city, but closer to the lesser known part of Venice above the fish market which is exceptional. In and around there are great local restaurants and shops. The hotel is small and the people very friendly with a nice e breakfast to start the day. We loved it!

    Nothing negative

Fantastic location. Super helpful and welcoming staff. Room as in the pictures - just what we were looking for.

    Not a lot.

Great location. Great staff, very friendly. Breakfast was great with fresh coffee on request. Thanks for a great stay.

The staff were really helpful . We had to leave Venice early and they were very accommodating. We will be happy to stay there again in the future.

    8MartinPosted on: 9-24-2024

The hotel was right on canal and a gondola stop right outside hotel entrance, great location for getting out exploring, although we got a bus into Venice from airport and it was roughly about 20min walk to hotel but we under estimated how many bridges and steps we had to cross in the heat with cases, a water taxi would have been a lot easier. Staff were always friendly and ready to help, breakfast was good. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed although our room was next to reception so a little nosy at times x
