Hotel Santa Marina

The location of our actual room was amazing. It was even better than what we were expecting for location and it made our trip so much more enjoyable.

Since our room was not in the same place as the hotel, the process in the lead up felt sketchy and gave us anxiety the day prior when we got the instructions. Now it was obviously legitimate but it made us nervous. Also it was a more complicated check in.

Location, clean, modern washroom, spacious room

Not a lot of natural light during winter (unless you open the windows)

It was nice good breakfast friendly people

No elevator so if you old find another one

Venetian style, comfort, good bathrooms, good breakfast options, air conditioning

The beds are a bit ‘short’ for tall people (> 1,90 m ?), feet are hanging. And feels a bit humid in the summer in the basement area.

Everything! Location, cleanliness, amenities, staff.

Room was brilliant. Clean and comfortable, spacious, quiet and well lit.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel was spotless. Would we stay there again. Yes.

Not much to dislike. The bathroom and shower was a bit tight. However, considering all of the buildings in Venice, are old, there are some compromises to be made. Would we stay there again, Yes.

Breakfast provided by the hotel was the ONLY satisfactory item.

The staff was discourteous, No facility was provided in the room.the kettle and required tea/coffee sachets were not provided even after repeated requests.It completely avoidable.I would never recommend such a hotel.

Location was brilliant, a short walk to top spots. Good size room and bed with comfortable pillows. Decent breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. A very pleasant stay.

The room would benefit from a tea/coffee facility.

This is a very nice hotel just off the main busy area around the Rialto bridge it's tucked away in a quiet little square, which for a newcomer to Venice can be a little awkward to find, however I have since discovered that the Santa Marina has a small advantage over other hotels which to a newbee is very beneficial to know, this little plus is at the back of the hotel it has a small canal and it's own pier so you can order your taxi from the airport and it will take you and your luggage to the hotels back door. They will even order you a taxi back for your departure....this service is not cheap but it is very efficient and stress free which is what we came to Venice for. The hotel's location is quite central on the island so all attractions are in easy reach and with lots of shops bars and restaurants to refresh and entertain you as you walk to see the sights I would say the Santa Marina was a good choice for us to get the best out of our stay in Venice. Our room was very nice clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were very helpful, spoke good English and were happy to answer any questions we had, breakfast was good too lots of choice and even a glass of prosecco was available as we found out it's not uncommon for the people of Venice to start the day that way. Would we stay here again YES absolutely and would bring our friends as we are confident they would enjoy what we have discovered here. The room size was very small.For the price we paid, nothing offered in the room.Even when we asked for the iron, they said it was not possible to have.

Very nice and helpful personnel. The breakfast was really good. The price of the room and meal was ok. The positioning of the hotel is perfect for staying in the centre of Venice several days (everything you need is several steps distance from the hotel)

The too warm and humid air in the room, air-conditioning present, but not working properly. It was necessary to open the window at midnight (in February). The sound isolation is not obviously first-class.

Interior of hotel was difficult to navigate, room was small (did not match photos), beds were very uncomfortable.

Great hotel in a slightly quieter part (which is good) of Venice but still close to a lot of key areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very nice and comfortable. Recommended!

The location was nice, not far from most things. we upgraded the room so we had a bath, which was nice. breakfast was great

the bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together after confirmation that we would have a double. the sofa beds couches that were in the room were so slippy and you couldn't sit on them without the ccushion sliding off. minor things. otherwise great.

Bathrooms smell very bad and poor air ventilation. Very small rooms. However typical Italian city set up.

The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful (with the exception of one crabby man at the front desk ?). The breakfast buffet was amazing and the ladies who worked it were wonderful.

Getting to my room was a bit like going through a maze and there were lots of steps
