We checked into this hotel and immediately checked out. We lost our money on this place and went to stay at a different hotel. We did not get the room we reserved. The man at the front desk made us girls feel very uncomfortable. We did not feel safe.

Convenient to bus station. Very clean. Good sized shower.

Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Host/owner was very hostile when we arrived to drop off our bags which he said we could do when we called 2 weeks prior. We did ask if the room was ready and he angrily told us 2 pm, which was fine. He angrily grabbed our bags and was very short with us. When we came back later his mood had not improved and he kept our passports stating he did not always do this. We were mother and daughter traveling alone and at that point felt very uncomfortable. Decided to stay due to the cleanliness of the room and lack of other options at that point. However, the rest of the interactions were pleasant. The room was situated right next to the check in desk so not very private or quiet.

Staff was not helpful, they were rude, the place smell very bad, like cigarette and old furniture. When we arrived we gave the guy all our info and it was only left a form that he needed to fill, he left us waiting while he folded some sheets and towels…

My third stay here! An excellent value, the location is great, it's loaded with character. I had slight case of food poisoning during my stay and they were very kind and helpful.

I liked everything, but this might not be the place for the delicate traveller.

Great location, nice and cozy room, comfy beds, friendly and really helpful host. Oh, and there’s this orange cat — a lovely asset to the property!

It was a nice hotel. Able to open the windows for fresh air.

No lift. My bags were quite heavy, but the owner helped me carry it up and down

The location was excellent 10 minutes walking from the train station on flat surface and no bridges to cross.The room had two double glazed windows overlooking the piazza which blocked the noise and made it very entertaining.

My double room was very small but quite adequate for one person.would have liked a kettle to be able to have a cup of tea.

From our arrival it was a contentious experience. The type of room (2 beds) wasn’t ready and the manager told me I hadn’t requested it correctly, despite my showing evidence I had. Then after the first night our room was cleaned but we didn’t have towels. When I asked for them I was told I had towels in the room. I assured him I didn’t even suggesting he come look. He acquiesced and gave me two bath towels but no hand towels.Also, the walls are thin and we heard two loud arguments between the manager and either staff or guests. One of these was after 10pm- these were shouting matches.In short, not a great customer service experience!

The owner was unpleasant. He smelled of smoke as did the reception area. He locked the front door for security reasons which is understandable but did not provide a key to be able to come and go at will. You had to ask to use the shared shower. The description of the hotel said there was a continental breakfast which was not true. I would never recommend this hotel.

Good location, helpful staff and clean room. It was just what we needed, a room with two twin beds and a bathroom that was a base to explore Venice. And it’s close to the train and bus station, so a shorter walk

I have never left a negative review on Booking before—in fact, I’ve never left a review at all—but what happened at this property was so disturbing that I feel obligated to warn others. The hotel manager is, without exaggeration, the worst person I’ve encountered in five years of traveling. He verbally abused me and my guest, hurled insults at us because of our ethnicity, and when I came to collect my luggage (which he had agreed to store after checkout), he threw our bags at us and even kicked them as we tried to pick them up.The facilities are what you’d expect from a 1-star property, but no one should ever be treated this way. This behavior is beyond unprofessional—it is aggressive, discriminatory, and genuinely threatening. Booking.com should not allow this place to operate under their name.

Property at least was clean

I had to leave the hotel in less than 30 minutes and find another one. The price was too high for the room. It didn’t have a private bathroom, there was no air conditioning, and the staff was not very kind. The place also had an unpleasant odor and the facilities looked very old.My mistake was not checking the main conditions carefully, especially the lack of air conditioning and private bathroom in summer. However, the other issues, such as the bad smell and the unfriendly welcome, were completely unexpected.

Good space in the room

The host kept my passports for way too long, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Horrible person — it was disgusting. Avoid this place; it’s going to drain your good energy. To leave the room, you have to leave the key at the front desk, but the person is never there. When you call him, he always shows up with a bad attitude. Also, the entire place smells like cigarettes.

The AC did not work in any of the rooms was very hot uncomfortable to sleep

I was able to check in around 11 am, access to my hotel room and take a shower so I could start exploring Venice.

Great location, very helpful staff. Bear in mind if you have very sensitive sleep, you might hear the sounds from neighbourhood buildings

Very convenient location close to train stop. Shared bathroom wasn't really an issue and was always empty when needed to be used. Showering needed to be communicated with staff prior though.

Had to give keys back whenever leaving hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Positioning is great, close to bus/train station and within walking distance to all main sights. Had view over square and room was very clean and comfortable.

Was expensive but perhaps this is simply Venice.
