Holiday Inn St. John's Conference Center by IHG

Location is wonderful, with many amenities nearby for eating, groceries, entertainment, etc. Staff were very friendly, and the on-site restaurant with the free breakfast that I had with my booking was quite good.

The hallways are somewhat dark and certainly dated. A coat of paint, in perhaps a lighter colour, would go a long way. There are signs of wear around door edges, crown moulding, etc.

Spacious and room was clean.

The room was very well appointed with comfortable pillows, wonderful hygiene products, a nice balcony, lots of coffee and tea and a large television.

The location was a bit far from downtown St John's.

It was accessible and clean enough

The first 1hr plus we arrived we were on a ground level room and there was a machine that was extremely loud working outside our window. In the morning house keeping was knocking on our door before 9am

The pool was closed and my kids were very upset and we didn?t know till we checked in

The rooms were clean and the front desk staff were every friendly and helpful.

The slides were supposed to be open on Sundays from 9am-3pm but were not available as the gate for them had a pad lock on. Only the swimming pool was available.

it was central to our destinations

the bathroom were so small and no tub to bath my granddaughter. the outdoor chain lock door to our room was hanging on by 1 screw . we had to call and request facecloths as none were replaced when they cleaned our room.

One of the managers was very helpful as I had to cancel some of my booking. Friendly and nice

For the price of the room I would have expected a continental breakfast!

The A/C did not work and we booked a king room and got a room with 1 queen bed Not impressed

Swimming pool and water slide.

Restaurant on site could not accommodate for dinner and breakfast took over an hour.

Comfortable beds. Clean room.

Should provide milkettes and creamers in the bar fridge. The packaged powdered cream/milk is disgusting. The ability to make tea instead of coffee should be an option.

The look of the hotel

The room I booked was not what I received. I rented a room with a king bed and pull out couch. What I got was a double bed with a pull out couch. We also went to go to the pool and even though we had put times booked the water slides were not ready.

No microwave in the room, ice machine was broken on my floor, construction zone on bottom floors which made dangerous for my dogs and I to walk up and down to go potty. Screws and building material in stairwell.

Within walking distance to many shopping and food options.

Hotel was under massive renovations. The restaurant onsite is actually an East Side Mario's. Good for pizza and beer. Moat importantly to me the gym is closed and has been closed since March. Nothing online says anything about this.

We travelled with kids. Hotel room stank of cigarette smoke really badly!

Location and clean

Wedding one evening and the floor we were on partied till the am. I understand it's a wedding but we still had a long drive the next morning.
