The beautiful location and the charm of an old inn.

Internet was slow, or bad, for my android, even within the inn.

A lovely older building. Quaint and very comfortable. Family owned and run. Very nice people to deal with.

I liked the look and feel of the hotel. It represented an historic B & B well. The breakfast was wonderful. Good food, lovely view. They were a close walk to the beach. Also had activities, if you so desired.

Location was great easy walk to the beach

the cottage was great, location great, we liked how the cottages are off set and spacious, grounds were great, so nice to be near the ocean.

Shaws htel is a real gem. I am more than happy to have found it. We had to check in after midnight but we were easily accommodated . It is situated in a perfect area. We stayed in a cottage and it was clean and comfortable. Even if the weather was a bit gloomy for two days we were able to enjoy our cottage. I will come back for sure ! Thankyou for a perfect stay .

Quiet, charming, rural, clean. Breakfast was included with the meal and it was delicious! Staff were friendly, courteous and respectful.

Wifi didn't work.

Breakfast included and was very good, nice to have a restaurant on site. Room was comfortable and a portable AC unit was much appreciated!

Inattentive, care-less, close-to-rude staff of mostly teenagers. Poor dinner menu, extremely limited. A far cry from what this placed used to be. NO wifi, they say there is, but there is not. Uncomfortable beds. NO elevator to second floor, with a very steep staircase.

The location was awesome! There was a 10 minute walk to Brackley beach a beautiful, long, sandy beach( and they provided beach towels and beach chairs). The property itself was lovely. Buffet breakfast was very good. Our room (in the hotel) had a charming old-timey feel.

The window ac unit was noisy. Dinner and cocktails at the restaurant were just okay, not great, although the outdoor seating was quite lovely.

It was a beautiful property with friendly staff & good food!

Having to climb 2 sets of stairs with your luggage. No hot water for shower, AC was loud, TV to small.

The chalet was beautiful - lookedbrand new although Rob (the owner) said they were 23 years old. Lots of space around the Chalet no one was right close by. They offered a group fire pit but we never made it over. They have chairs, umbrellas & towels to bring to the beach. We had chairs & an umbrella but borrowed a couple beach towels. One of my sisters & my friend have mobility issues so Rob offered to drive us to the beach (5 min walk) on a golf cart & gave me the number to call when we were ready to come back to the chalet so they could pick us back up! Very accommodating!! FYI there is no air conditioning but if you lower the Windows in the heat of the day & close the drapes then open both up at night time there is a beautiful breeze off the water to cool the place down. There is a fire place in the living room that was all set to light although we didnt use it, it looks very nice. Not a lot of noise - no loud partying. It was a very nice place!

Mosquitoes & Ants. You cant do much about nature. Owner said he sprays for mosquitoes & once we wiped off the counter most ants were gone but Rob came by anyways & sprayed & set out some ant traps for us. Didnt see any ants after that! Mosquitoes werent as bad on our 2nd day (maybe there was more wind) but then they were bad again on the morning we were checking out.

Breakfast was great as was location. Great staff.

AC was noisy in first room

The location was beautiful on the outside and had the gorgeous beach 10 min walk away. They had chair you could bring to the beach and bikes you could rent! Lovely outdoor property!

Later in the evening we were looking to get some food and the staff told us the restaurant was full and also that they would not allow takeout. Then when we asked where we could find the nearest spot they said sorry everywhere is closed. We didnt think that was very accommodating. There was also lots of large bugs in the room and the room was very dated and a bit dindgy.

Unbeatable location and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! the garden is wide and beautiful and we were happy to enjoy our breakfast in the sun on the terrace. they provide beach towels, foldable chairs and umbrellas against the sun to take to the beach for the day. the building and rooms are quaint and very charming.

Unfortunately, the internet was slow/not working/ disruptive. there are very (!) limited vegetarian options for breakfast (most of them sugary and/or fatty) and no vegan options (apart from pieces of melon and apples). The breakfast options are also a bit awkward and portions are small. You could technically have French toast or pancakes everyday, if thats your favorite breakfast, but everybody else might be a bit disappointed. also the toilet flush in our room was a bit outdated and we had to fix it manually every day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay because the location and friendliness of the staff overruled these issues.

It was a very comfortable experience, and the history of the location adds to it. There is plenty to do and the views are beautiful. The propertys bonfire pit is a huge plus.
