Location and included breakfast. Great value for the price.
It wasn't too far from town and had a nice trail behind - which I found by myself, no thanks to any of the staff!

We were enticed with the pool; my 9 year old (not picky) took one look and decided not to go swimming.

Good location, water pressure was good in the shower, breakfast/dinner was pretty good but the rice for the salmon and the breakfast potatoes were not hot.
I liked the idea of this hotel but it needs updating. The kids loved the kids area. It was great to have a washer but the dryer was out of service and had to take wet clothes with us.
Location is good.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel 4 to 6 weeks in advance for winter festivals like Carnaval de Sherbrooke (January–February) to secure baseline pricing, as rates typically surge 35-50% closer to the event. Early booking also increases your chance of accessing onsite parking, which is essential during periods of heavy snow.
- Factor in mandatory taxes totaling 14.975% on all hotel rates, including 9.975% Quebec Sales Tax (QST) and 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). For example, a CA$160 (approx. US$120) quoted rate becomes CA$184 (approx. US$138) after taxes.
- Choose hotels within 400 meters of Rue King Ouest to enjoy walkability scores of 85-90 out of 100. This puts you within short walking distance of downtown attractions and services, while hotels in outer districts generally have lower walkability scores of 45-60.
- If you plan to work remotely, verify hotel Wi-Fi upload speeds are at least 5 Mbps. Business-class hotels often provide 8-10 Mbps upload and 300 Mbps download, while smaller properties may offer less than 3 Mbps upload.
- Call hotels directly to confirm step-free access or roll-in showers, as only 40% of properties list these features online. Accessibility features are more common (about 80%) in hotels built after 2000, but online disclosure is limited.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at check-in and select to pay in Canadian Dollars (CAD) to avoid an extra 3-7% markup often applied by hotels using DCC terminals.
- Hotel rates often increase 20-30% and availability drops by about 50% during Université de Sherbrooke exam periods in April and December. Book 5 or more weeks ahead, or consider hotels in Magog (30-minute drive) for better rates and wider selection.
- Select hotels with electric vehicle (EV) charging for a low-carbon stay. Quebec's grid is 94% hydroelectric, and about 70% of hotels with EV charging offer it free of charge.
- Sherbrooke’s municipal tap water is safe to drink and meets federal standards, eliminating the need to purchase bottled water during your stay.
- Tip housekeeping CA$5–$10 (approx. US$4–$7.50) per stay by leaving the amount on the pillow at checkout, as this aligns with local etiquette rather than tipping daily.
- Opt for hotels with interior corridors during winter to minimize cold exposure and slip risks. Motels along Route 112 commonly have outdoor room access, which requires repeated exposure to sub-zero temperatures.
- Look for hotels with HÉVÉA certification (Hébergement Écoresponsable du Québec), a provincial eco-label indicating sustainable operations. Certified properties typically use 25-40% less water and energy.
