Pros +
- We enjoyed the location and the cleanliness overall.
- Location, comfortable, clean, friendly staff.
- Very pretty drive to property and scenic views upon arrival. Rooms very clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons -
- There were some drawbacks. The reception hall smelled like old cold tobacco. The room was not realy soundproof. We coud hear the clients walking above until late. The lady Inn keeper could be considered a bit rude. Nevertheless She was helpful.
- No coffee in room.
- The website said nothing (unless I missed it!) about having to book your dinner in the restaurant by 1 o’clock on the day of arrival and as we arrived at approximately 3 o’clock check-in time we missed the cut off time. However Maude very kindly said she could fit us in but we decided to eat off site and there were several options within a 25 minute drive as Jolliet was that close.

Very nice breakfast. Nice staff, welcoming. Quiet and peaceful area. Bed was comfortable. Nice desk to work at. Farm type setting, although the Auberge is not on a farm.
The bathroom is a bit tight. Anyone that is big will struggle with this. The fan automatically turns on when you put on the light and there is only a curtain. So this would be the biggest inconvenience. Otherwise, very comfortable. No AC. Fans available. But it was not too hot even in July.
Cosy room with a comfortable bed in a very quiet and beautiful area. Great optional breakfast with lots of choices. Wifi was very good in our room.
I’m a big man and the washroom is very tiny. Could hardly move inside.
The bed was very comfortable, the location is very peaceful and the breakfast was superb. I have stayed in many places on several continents and this one stood out. Everything was fresh, very tasty and plentiful. The Parc des Chutes is not that far away with nice hiking trails and an area where you can go into the river on water tubes. There is an excellent honey producer just down the road from the Auberge with several interesting things to see as well as a great little store.
Everything was fine.
Location- picturesque, quiet countryside. Provincial park with trails, waterfall nearby; strawberry picking plus beautiful bakery nearby, as well as a lavender farm with handmade products and a nice trail system (for a fee). Inn has well-maintained, pretty grounds. Very nice breakfasts. Hosts were very accommodating.
The room(s) really should have a heat pump- the small fan was ineffective for the almost intolerable heat. The pillows could have been of a higher quality. A folding door instead of a curtain for the bathroom would be appreciated.
very quiet and serene
not the fault of the host but guest across the hall from me was restless it seemed and he was going in and out until 1:00 and messing with phone on speaker and playing music loud. maybe make a curfew or advise all guests of quiet hours and consideration of others in the house at 10:00 pm and after.
I liked the three breakfast options. My preference was the cheese with fruit and toast. There were two other options I would also have enjoyed. I LIKED the comfortable bed. I LIKED the location; being well outside of a town and in the middle of farming land and the associated scenery as I drove to the Auberge Ma Maison. I LIKED the hosts and the warm and friendly welcome. I also LIKED being able to connect to the WIFI of Auberge Ma Maison to enable me to see the local weather forecast on my smart phone.
There was nothing I did not like about Auberge Ma Maison. I admit to being generally curious about the area and the surrounding community and may very well return in the winter to explore the area. I just didn't have the time to explore as I was staying at the Auberge Ma Maison, but spent most of my time 40 km further West.
Hotel’s very cute and secluded. Bed is comfy, we went to La Source so we didn’t actually use the shower there. Very nice hosts, too! Excellent value.
Breakfast menu / instructions should be in the bedrooms
No batheroom door - poor insolation between room.
This is an outstanding place, very pretty , awesome bed/bedding, friendly owners, great quality breakfast for reasonable price. 2 stars hotel is way under rated. Quiet setting. Highly recommend
Nothing, really a perfect stay
Breakfast was excellent.
Dinner only served Thursday-Sunday. Also, the landlady thought the English word for "Jeudi" was "Tuesday", so we were told the restaurant was open Tuesday-Sunday; we turned up for dinner on Tuesday and had to drive 30 minutes to find a Boston Pizza.
Loved the location. Staff were very friendly. Great breakfast
Privacy curtain rod in bathroom kept falling down. We laughed about it. How memories are made ?
The location was nice and quiet. The hosts were amazing and the one morning I had breakfast, it was hot and fresh.
You can hear everything in the building, it's to be expected to.
Lovely property, very comfortable, and a very friendly and accomodating host. Breakfast was ample and delicious, one of the best meals we had on a ten day trip. Very sad that the restaurant wasn’t open for dinner the night we were there!
Clean and hospitable. Had a great night sleep. Would recommend. Nice drive / scenery. Would stay here again if needed. Staff quick to please ;)
Wish we had wifi. A TV could have been nice in the am to get news.
Cottage feel and great people
Shower was small
The room is all wood with antique furniture. No carpet, the mattress was comfy. Nice small deck with a view of the wheat field. Cold bottle of water at arrival but no glasses in the room.
Bed and breakfast but breakfast is not included. 15$ per person. No air conditioning in the room, pillow were all very thin, shower needs to be replaced and made bigger. We got in quite late so I understand we woke them up at midnight but at 7:30 a.m. I would expect the patrons to be up. We woke them up again. It is a bed and breakfast. At 90$ plus taxes I think it is pricey for not sleeping due to no air. Not even a fan.
Great ambiance, the staff is terrific, it’s super clean and cozy feeling. Definitely would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
Our room didn’t have a/c, but it never got to hot to the point where we really needed it.
