    • The location is wonderful and the view from my room was beautiful. I got everything I needed in a room at a fair price.
    • Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive itself is a very charming and beautiful small town, absolutely worth visiting. The location of the auberge was also convenient, and the price was reasonable. However, the property has clearly not been maintained.
    • Beautiful location near the water. Nice plants and Flowers and birds.

    Cons -

    • I had stayed at this auberge about 10–11 years ago, when it was run by an elderly lady. At that time, everything was truly wonderful, and that positive experience made me want to return with friends this time.Unfortunately, our recent stay was very disappointing. We were a group of four adults, and the room was extremely small with no space to place our luggage (4 carry-ons and 3 backpacks). On the first night, we decided to have dinner at the auberge. To our shock, we found small insects and bird feathers among the vegetables, as well as a small round black piece that looked like animal droppings. Nothing else was offered to us as an alternative, and since it was late in a small town with no options nearby, we had to go to bed hungry. The owner was also very rude and disrespectful in her attitude. On the second morning, when we returned to the room, we noticed the towels had not been replaced. When we asked for fresh towels, we were told that towels are not supposed to be changed daily, in a very impolite manner.Overall, this experience was the opposite of my first visit years ago. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place anymore.
    • It was warm during a heat wave
    • Stairs are tricky when carrying luggage to rooms.First floor door too close to stairs!Front porch steps shaky. Suspect rotten treads underneath. Safety hazard!

Close to tourism spots, very cosy and beautiful hotel. Loved the campfire and free coffee. View is excellent, cleanliness and receptionist’s welcoming attitude made our stay very nice. Thanks

    I liked every single thing!!

Nice, clean, perfectly located, possible to prepare your own meal in the common area

Our room was tiny, so not suitable for longer stays for the family of 4, but perfect for one night

The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent: nice, simple but solid breakfast and delicious dinner in the evening, very much worth going to The location was great, close to water, to museums and to hiking trail.

Room was too small, with thin walls and expensive. Going down the stairs was not easy with large feet! Old fashion but ok for short stays. New owners, so this should improve.

The location is peaceful and quiet. Room is clean.

It was all good. You can eat there too but be prepared to be served very tiny portions as this is not a restaurant. Cheese and charcuterie board was expansive for three slices of saucisson and three slices of cheese.

the location was beautiful, very special place, close to the ferry for île aux coudres. clean room, friendly staff.

the room was a bit small, and we could hear sound from the other rooms. but it wasn't too bad and was quiet at a reasonable hour.

Location is beautiful. Actual building is so rustic and simple, but also large and accomodating. Great ambiance.

Pillows on bed are terrible. Not rock hard or made of plastic, but just a step above. The pillows are very small and not comfortable. The actual bed is nice but the pillows again, were almsot not even worth using.

    7TiphainePosted on: 8-31-2023

    Clean, calm

Bed was not confortable, on the short side for 2 people

We were placed in a very small room. Clean needs to be improved

Beautiful and tranquil location. Clean and cozy room. Please be aware that there isn't much to do close by but you can take the free ferry to the island. Super helpful and friendly staff.

not much. Breakfast could be a bit more.

I was tolded I was gonna have upstairs. Wasn’t the case. It smells very humid and mold

    8DavidePosted on: 8-19-2022

Very nice rooms, old-fashioned French style look

English is not spoken by everyone in the staff (we don't recommend if you have at least a basic French).

    Superb

Not convenient for dining out. It was necessary to drive to Baie St.Paul. Better to bring your own food.

    7MartinePosted on: 7-25-2022

Site pittoresque, old time and view. Nice decorations about historical boat

Little hot ? no air conditioner and no television in the room for news

Very clean room. Got everything we need.
