Passable
rooms are basic and would need a refresh. no TV. no Gym. quality if the breakfast is questionable .Such a contrast with the beauty of the place and its views
The staff were very efficient sorting out a plumbing issue and fitting us into the well-sought-after bear watching activity. We also liked the stunning views and access to the lake, the kayaking activity and opportunities for short hikes. Breakfast was also good, as well as lunch and dinner.
Old decor and lack of AC. They should perhaps eliminate the stuffed animals as part of the decoration, a bit controversial I guess especially nowadays.
Beautiful location surrounded by nature with stunning views. The lodge has a warm, rustic charm and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms were quite hot since there is no air conditioning. There was no childcare service, so I wasn’t able to enjoy the spa during my stay.
A wonderful get-away in midst of forests and lakes! If you are not already an outdoor person, you might find out that you want to be one :-) Nice hikes nearby, great kayaking on the lake.
Our room was towards the entry road and not very sexy, but it was one of the only ones left.
The view, the décore, building made of wood logs.
The bed mattress needs to be changed , no air conditioning, the balcony should have separators and at least two good chairs per room.
LocationThe beach
Looking for his way is like looking for the exit in a maze. Excessive prices for diner + breakfast eg 20 CAD for 3 shrimps ! Diffficult to afford for a family of 6 persons !Swimming pool is like a joke ! Prefer not to talk about the rest room with the lockers…
Good escape for a one day trip. Beautiful view (hindered by the wildfires). Hiking trails available but mosquitos are everywhere. Canoes available for lake excursion.
Very dated hotel. Jacuzzi was an additional cost. Lots of stairs to navigate. Hiking was our primary reason for exploring the area but the mosquito population is rampant.
Remote, cool vibe
Spa closed at 8pm. Way too early
We were supposed to get a room with a refrigerator in it, but our original room assignment had none. The staff immediately amended the situation and we received an upgraded room at no charge. Excellence in service!
Unfortunately the elevator was down for repairs.
The view and location are amazing. But if you book the room from booking, they will not upgrade your room if you pay extra and this makes me very sad, this hotel can be the best hotel with a better management.I love the motor boat and the person who was responsible for these facilities, Mr. Cloud, left us a lasting memory with her good manners, energy, and beautiful smile.
I did not like the people at the reception desk at all, otherwise these people can be as influential as the hotel itself and create a memorable memory. First of all, a genuine smile with an effort to show you that your request is important. Yes, I was very interested to have a better room on two different days and also we were a big group by booking several rooms, each of us requested a better room on our own, none of us were given an option. I spent a year in different hotels and I know what good service means. In my opinion, spending money on training a few receptionists is equal to spending money on renovating the entire hotel. I wish this hotel would be considered.

Beautiful surroundings with fantastic vuews over the lake. Property itself is close to the point of needing a bit of renovation but preserves a charming but rustic decor.
Lack of staff is evident, everybody is nice but they are overwhelmed… service at the restaurant took forever despite best effort from the staff. Our room was more a shed or an attic with no hot water (to be fair, it finally came after letting it run for 15’ which was the hotel advice). Avoid room 125 at all cost, others we have seen have nice views and space… don’t even understand why they keep that one in the inventory which seems to be well known by staff at reception!
Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. The lake is breathtaking.
The room was not clean perfectly. The bathroom was way too small and uncomfortable to be in.Staff was so so.
Great view & location
Simple room, no airco. All activities already fully booked before we arrived.Slow check-in
Beautiful location on Lac Sacacomie. Lovely room for our family of 4. Great food-fantastic breakfast buffet and delicious dinner menu. We loved the spa too.
Everything: rooms, restaurant, people’s kindness
Great countryside location. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Having the ability to use the lake facilities within the overall cost was a bonus. The evening meal (excellent), breakfast and spa package worked really well for our short stay.
