Pros +
- Bien situ pour le vlo est sur la route des bleuets
- The resort has a mix of cabin rooms and camp sites. The setting is idyllic right on Lacc St Jean. The rooms are well maintained. There is a huge fireplace area for the guests to enjoy nightly. The restaurant has a small menu, but everything was well prepared and presented.
- Breakfast (which wasn't included and was in the restaurant) was excellent. The facilities are basic, but were clean and comfortable. The location is very peaceful and is great for accessing the bicycle route.
Cons -
- La propret moyen et aucune climatisation Salle de bain commune pour 3 chambres svp ajouter crochet pour les vtements et pancarte pour occupe
- I understand the resort is celebrating its 50th year. BUT, with the onset of global warming and daytime temps, now routinely hitting 35 and nights in the 20's the placing g of a small fan I. The room simply no longer cuts it. Given the size of the room, a small 8,000 BTU AC unit would be more than sufficient The property has a bar which is advertised as being open 1600 hrs - 0300 hrs. We were there on the 1st of Aug PRIME tourist season only to find the bar was closed.Lastly, I am a veteran, with a disability riding a 3 wheeled motorcycle. When we arrived, we were advised that we needed to place our luggage in a wheelbarrow, and move it the 150 feet or so to our room even though the path would have permitted me to ride to within 5 feet to load/unload.
- The service in the restaurant at supper time was slow. There was only one front-end staff member and she was the hostess and also the server for several tables.

The dinner service was wonderful. Great staff and extraordinary high end food.
breakfast service was very slow for cyclists trying to get off on the road in the morning, but the food itself was very good.
Well located. Comfy beds. Fridge and microwave available in room. Picnic benches, places for bonfires and wood available in front of water. Separate communal kitchen.
No coffee or tea in room (I notice nowhere in the region offers tea), just coffee maker.
The food at the restaurant was much better than expected. The property is beautifully situated on the river, which made for a great walk in the morning.
I wouldn't have minded a room with a private bath but that limitation was clear when I booked, and the bathroom was clean and shared with only one other rooom.
Great rooms, the food in the resto is really good, beautiful grounds, and perfectly located for the Veloroute des bleuets
We were glad that this place was available in Sainte Monique as there were not a lot of alternatives. Unfortunately there is a shortage of staff in the region and it impacted the timing for our access to our room as we had to wait after our scheduled time of arrival to gain access to our room.I am sure there is a lot of stress for the staff as they are working long hours without too much time off. Our experience would had been great if the person we met at the check in would had been a bit more welcoming. That said, I recommend this place as I will not let one person reaction damper how great the rest of the staff was.
The room was very quiet, in a chalet in the woods. We loved the breeze through the open windows at night. Other guests were quiet and respectful.
good location
So many mosquitos! It was also hot in the room and the fan was too loud to use at night.
Beautiful lake side location very quiet
Lots of mosquitoes
The hotel is set in a beautiful location - right on the water in a forest
There is no wi-fi and the restaurant was closed when we were there but the manager got us a reservation at a nice restaurant nearby
Although the cost was extra the dining room provided excellent breakfast and diners.
Surroundings were lovely
Very Spartan like room and bathroom.
Exceptional
The internet was limited to the inside of the administration building, not even outside of it.
