The location and scenery was beautiful. I was also very clean and for a small cabin, the kitchen was more than adequate and well stocked. Staff was also friendly.

we found the beds were very hard and we had trouble sleeping. There was also a very bad sewer smell in the bathroom every time the fan came on, also the dead bolt wasn't working so we didn't feel secure. I am a licensed carpenter and noticed that the dead bolt was not aligned to the door jam so it couldn't be locked properly.

Great cabins in smaller complex. Water and activities just across the road. Quite. Good access to Algonquin NP. The best pillows! Exceptionally equiped kitchen

    Nothing!

Good location. Clean property and facilities.

Studio cottage a little small for two people. Bathroom fan loud and would activate at the slightest of motion.

    10PatriciaPosted on: 7-17-2025

Clean, well kept! Lake front is a convenient short walk for our kayaks & Hiking trail was close too:)

    Everything was great:)

Our cabin #4 was perfect for the two of us:) Very clean, fully equipped with deck, bbq. Loved the fact that we were so close to the lake, view is beautiful, beach is clean w lots of fun water equipment to use (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, water trampoline & paddle boats:) on land games to use too!We met a few chipmunk friends each morning too while having our morning coffee’s.We will do again

There wasn’t really anything that we didn’t like, but perhaps the bathroom fan always clicking on (& loud) with any kind of movement as you got nearer to the door!

The proximity to the park was the goal for us. I'm a photographer so up and out early. The place was very clean, newer, and well equipped. Nice and quiet for our two nights. I'd say they could put a door mat at front door (it's winter and messy). There is a boot tray which was great. We had a dog and dog towel so we were okay and careful to dry her paws. Otherwise you're right onto the flooring and carpet. A roll of paper towel would be great! And perhaps more info on website about coffee machine details. Filter type etc. We took instant and survived. Lol. We'd go back.

Would love a wood burning fp!

View of lake and surrounding trees. Small house keeping cabins, but well suited to two adults.

    Nothing of significance

    Nothing........except time too short

Location, cleanliness, proximity to the lake and all the water toys.

    Later check out. Bigger beds.

The location is beautiful, just a few steps from the lake. The kayaks and canoes are very good. We also enjoyed the BBQ and some of the games. Being able to enjoy the bonfire on the beach while being so close to the cabin was what we enjoyed the most.

The staff could be a little more friendly. The 10:00 am checkout time is a bit excessive, guests should be able to enjoy their stay a little longer without having to return so early.

It was such a relaxing weekend away from the city. The cottage was a perfect size, very clean and a nice atmosphere. It included everything you could think of.

At first, I wasn't excited about the lake being across the street although it was nice not being close to the cottage so it forced me to relax.

    8MarionPosted on: 9-23-2024

Quiet location with easy access into Algonquin National Park. Cabins are next to a lake and we enjoyed the free access to the kayaks. The property was immaculate.

    9AngelPosted on: 9-21-2024

Nice little cottages with everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable. Perfect specially for the little ones, with a great playground in the back of the property (bonus for the shadow, great for those sunny warm days) and all sort of beach toys.Parking was convenient and access to Algonquin couldn't be better.

Would have enjoyed management taking the initiative to light up a bonfire on the evening for all the guests to enjoy. It was available, but for guests to take care of.

Great little relaxing spot right next to some great trails

Noisy bathroom fan but really not the end of the world

    9FionaPosted on: 9-7-2024

The location near Algonquin Park and on Oxtongue lake is excellent. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to self cater and has a gas barbecue. The cottage has access to free kayaks and paddle-boards and is next to a beach for the cottages with sun loungers and fire pits (you just need to bring your own wood). A park permit can also be purchased onsite.

The rooms are small but comfortable and the outside space and amenities are great.
