Ottawa Stay Downtown Suites

The host was very responsive.

Location was perfect for us. There was enough space for our full family members. Communication with host was easy and she quickly responded to all my questions.

Should be renovated.

The location of the property was very convenient, with easy access to downtown, restaurants, and grocery stores. However, due to unforeseen reasons, we were unable to stay at the property we originally booked.

Unfortunately, our stay was not possible due to a serious cleanliness issue. Upon arrival, we discovered multiple live bed bugs on the living room couch. This was immediately concerning and unacceptable.As a result, we had to leave the property right away and urgently book another nearby hotel to secure accommodations for the night. This caused significant inconvenience and resulted in us paying nearly double the original cost to stay elsewhere.We have reported the issue to the owner of the property and are currently awaiting a refund from the property owner and/or Booking.com. Given our experience, we would strongly advise future guests to exercise caution.

The location was nice and the place was pretty. Ive stayed at one of the properties before and had a great experience.

The place was NOT clean there were very obvious white stains on the main bedrooms comforter which was absolutely disgusting plus no washing machine in unit. The utensils were crusty amd unwashed IN THE DRAWER and we found BED BUGS

The value and size of the apartment was fantastic. The check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The parking spot was a nice bonus in such a busy neighbourhood. We loved how much space we had and how comfortable the beds were.

The kitchen was a bit strange with one defunct fridge and one in working order. Many of the shelves were not functional or were so high we couldn’t reach them, which was of no consequence to us for one night but may be an issue for longer stays. We were surprised by the fact that there was no dish soap in the kitchen either. These were minor details but creature comforts such as dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, make people feel more comfortable.

Close to downtown

- one of the room, the lights were not working .- there was no paper tower - pne of the matress is not confortable -the room’s blankets or covers were very thin as summer blankets, and the roms were cold. The thermostat in one of the room was not working.

The password of the room is wrong , we stay longer outside the owner was not responding fast. Dirty toilettes.

The apartment was decently spacious with 4 available beds.

The microwave in the kitchen didn’t work due to power outage to the socket. After multiple attempts to reach the provider (phone call, text messages and booking.com messages) I was told someone would come fix the problem but nobody came. They never picked up their phone or called back. The heater in the living room suddenly stopped working while I was there. The location is not downtown like they claimed in the name. The apartment itself was decent but their service was seriously lacking.

No bath mat, chances of slipping when travel with senior citizen.

Location is excellent , spacious . Small concern is : The sofa cover is a bit old and needs to be replaced.

Nothing like the picture. Everything is broken. Humidité smell. Not clean.

The apartment's location is excellent. We were able to leave the car in the parking lot and walk to all the attractions we wanted to visit. All the rooms were very comfortable, and it was very convenient to have a washing machine. Elissa, our hostess, was very welcoming and attentive.

Stayed in main floor. The apartment is very OLD. From entering the main hallway you can smell very unpleasant smell of old stuff and from the basement. The doors and walls desperately need a new paint, floors are not even, everything is dated, the bed linens and towels are cheap, dated, many different colours, we don't dare to touch. The bathroom is dirty. The apartment definitely needs a thorough renovation in order to rent out.

It wasn’t very clean, it was during a heat wave and the coolest the apartment was, was 26 degrees Celsius.

Good location. Less than 10 minutes drive to Byward Market

House needs full renovation. Change floor, washroom door, repaint wall, change light bulbs etc.

Minimal amenities were provided: one small towel for the entire kitchen (for cleaning counters, drying dishes and hands), no paper towels, Kleenex, napkins

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS!!! DO NOT RENT!!!Both owner and booking refused to reimburse us. Paid over $500 for 2 nights. We were out by 9am after the first night (all of us had bites and provided owner and booking with photo evidence). Booking was our go to, but never again. Made several calls to both that fell on deaf ears.They gave us a $93 voucher. This was a girls weekend and this totally ruined it. We spent over half the second day washing all our stuff. It ended up costing us over $1000 for 2 nights stay in Ottawa

There were bed bugs in the bed, the sofa was old and the shelf was broken, there was no quilt (the elderly could only sleep in their clothes because the temperature was very low that night), the bathroom was dirty and had not been cleaned at all, and the plug of the microwave in the kitchen was broken. We sent messages to the owner, but no reply or solution. This is the second time for us elderly people to stay here, the oldest is 97 years old, and everyone is very dissatisfied. We have asked for a deduction of the room fee, and we have written many letters but received no reply. We will write a complaint article on your website to inform more friends not to stay in this scam accommodation again.

Having a kitchen and dining room allowed us to enjoy a mini vacation without spending money on restaurants every day. We did enjoy a few special ones but on our timeline. The location was central so we could walk wherever we wanted for the attractions that brought us to Ottawa. Lots of space.

I have to admit the property was a little quirky and took some time to get used to. We were on the second floor and the floors were not level. Different feeling in different locations in the unit. We did get used to it, but for some this would be hard to deal with. The amenities also had a toaster but there was none to be found. We sent a message and received a quick response, but no toaster for our stay. Very minor issue. The couch was also a little hard to get used to because of its design.
