The Arlo Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Front desk staff were very very excellent in their customer service. We were in Ottawa to visit all the sites and were constantly asking them for directions. Every one of the front desk staff day and night were so responsive and receptive. Kudos to all

One factor was the bathroom. There was a slight mouldy odor around the toilet. Also when taking a shower the water coming from the tap was hot but when the shower was turned it the water fluctuated from hot to very cold. Not a pleasant way to shower.

Convenient location

Staff and no separate beds available and no free parking as advertised.

It is very well located and they have done their best to keep it spotless and clean.

It's old, you can only reno so much. The hallways are tired and dark. The bathroom door can only be re painted so many times.

The suite

Upon our arrival we could not find a place to park our to bring our stuff in and check in..We had to park in a ten Dollar parking lot

location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful

room was old and dated, and heating system was really noisy. Duvets were very thin.

Staff are good. Hotel room and toilets are clean. Wifi internet service average connection speed.

1. Parking space limited & extremely tight. 2 Room,mattresses not comfortable.3. Unable to sleep due to bad mattresses and noise from hotel flags hanging by the bedroom windows,4 changed room,same bad mattresses.5. No blankets & toilet seats- too small.

It was right downtown and close to the Byward market where we needed to be the next day. We only spent sleeping hours there so it was fine.

It was old looking on the inside and outside. It could use a little bit of refurbishing. I'm sure it was excellent in the 80s or something.

Location, ease of access by bus from the airport, restaurants and coffee shops in the neighbourhood.

Good location!

There is wifi internet access but never get internet success. That means you don't have internet! Bed is clean but in the bathtub, I saw some hair still stick on the wall. They don't offer body lotion and liquid body wash.

It was in a good location.

1. No fridge in the room (most hotels at similar star rating and price usually have one) 2. No ability to purchase movies on the room TVs, very limited TV channel selection. 3. Parking was extra. You also had to leave your keys with the desk.

It is centrally located and the beds are comfortable.

I have stayed here a few times and this is the first time there was a dirty towel in the bathroom and the bathroom could have been cleaner

The small somewhat boutique feel of the room and restrooms. The location was perfect for what I needed.

My room had a strange smell. Not sure if it was the cleaning supplies used, but it smelled like a hospital room.

Only the location

The size and comfort of the bathroom, the mold smell. The fact that there were no plastic bags in the garbage bins.

The location was perfect for us, close to the places we were visiting. Liked the balcony and that we could open the door to it and windows to get fresh air. Room was spacious and price was good.

Parking was a challenge & there's a shortage of places nearby to get a drink - the coffee shops closed at 8pm & there were no vending machines in the hotel to get a drink. The water smelled bad too. The internet and cable tv kept cutting out.

Very large room - conference area, living room, kitchen.

Annoying to have to park in separate location, but not too expensive.Room could stand to be updated a little. Like all of Ottawa, it felt like 1996.

Location

Room was very small no fridge or microwave .

Room is really big, like a full size one bedroom apartment. Location is good, close to parliament hill.

Parking is not free and not convenient. Breakfast is not included.

The location was perfect for visiting the byword market, Rideau canal and parliament buildings. Also, they upgraded me to a larger room which was nice. It had a balcony that was handy!

The bed was horrible. I cut my visit short by a day because I couldnt sleep in it for one more night. The rooms are a bit out dated and the toilet ran the whole time I was there.

Great location, clean & quiet room.

Only one elevator (out of 2) was working which meant waiting a long time...so we took the stairs because we were only on the 3 floor.
