The Old Bank House

The location is great and it was nice and quiet overnight. Breakfast was very nice and the coffee (which I like before breakfast) was ready and waiting in the am to enjoy on the balcony over looking the park and river mouth.

Last time I was here, they had assorted breads for toasting, and pastries, didn't have any of that this time wish I thought was strange. They need to bring that back

Mary Clare and her mother were thoughtful and accommodating hosts. The breakfast was fresh and hearty. I loved the old cameras and musical instruments.

Property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful common area with fireplace. Super cozy. Room was beautiful. Nice shared patio with great view. Quick walk to Queen St for shops and dinner. Breakfast was fabulous. Best Eggs Benedict ever. And our host Igor was super helpful. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Breakfast was amazing with delicious options and lovely presentation. Very comfortable dining area, guest room and common area. Within walking distance of downtown!

Parking was very tight.

It was a beautiful location, close to the centre of town but close the the water. Very quiet after 9 pm

Loved the location, the view of Lake Ontario from the front porch and the garden area which both had nice seating. Our breakfast was delicious and the staff were kind. Our mattress, however, was very uncomfortable and old. We both sunk into the middle, there was no support. Everything was clean which is important to me.

Housekeeping was lacking. Only when asking did we receive fresh towels and a re-fresh of our room. Also my family staying in a different room never were offered fresh towels nor a clean up. Fyi, comparing the services at the hotel versus other hotels we have stayed at in the past, there were no extra services provided except for breakfast. We did not see any persons nor did anyone introduce themselves to us, who would give advice as to activities availalble n NOTL.

Location was fantastic. Beautiful setting and well maintained. 2 blocks from Main Street.

Temperature in the room was very warm. You do not have ability to control individually.

The breakfast was the best part of the stay. Truly delicious, plenty of options, served very promptly and the food was nice and hot- even my toast was still hot.

The bed was quite uncomfortable so neither of us got very much sleep.

The breakfast was delicious for both me and my sister. It was also fantastic to be so close to the lake so we could watch the sunset and the sunrise the following morning. Having free parking was also a great "plus" - especially since most of the things we wanted to see/do were within walking distance. Finally, being able to have the flexibility of eating outside in the morning was wonderful!

It was a little rough when some people came back to the house around midnight and were quite noisy. I woke up to the noise and it continued off and on for at least 30 to 45 minutes. (There were some loud door sounds and some loud voices.) It was sad that people didn't consider others, as there had been instructions on the info sheet saying to please try to be as quiet as possible between 10pm and 8am. I'm not sure that The Old Bank House could do anything else to help with this, but that was the most disappointing thing about the stay.

The location was perfect. Walking distance to town shaw festival and restaurants. The view from the porch was outstanding.

Parking can be an issue.

Amazing breakfasts. Amazing Service. Great location. Room was smaller than expected yet still comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The breakfast was very good. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We liked the gathering room with the fireplace. It was cozy. Had snow and Icey weather which made everything a winter wonderland.

The door to the room we stayed in (And I suppose the other doors are the same type) could have been a solid core door to mitigate noise coming from the stairs/hall. Fortunately the other guests were mostly considerate of others and not making a lot of noise while in the hall or on the stairs, There needs to be a bar to hang the hand towel on in the bathroom. Everything was great. The rooms were awesome, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location and check-in/check-out was very easy.

The only issue was not being able to control the temperature in our room. The room was very hot at night, but they did have fans available to help with this issue.
